Visit on April 22, 2023. First time visiting. I arrived before 5:00 PM, so there were about 4 groups of customers. After 6:00 PM, it became full. I ordered the sirloin steak. It came with a full set for ¥600 including tax, with a salad bar, daily curry, rice, soup bar, bread, and dessert all-you-can-eat. The curry was pitch black and I couldn't tell what was inside.

On the 29th of the month, there was a steak all-you-can-eat event on weekdays starting at 3 pm. There were about 2 groups of customers already there when we arrived, and 2 groups left shortly after we came in. After us, 3 more groups arrived. There were two course options: the Cut Steak Course for 2,859 yen (tax included) with chuck flap tail, and the Sirloin Course for 4,949 yen (tax included) with chuck flap tail. We ordered the Sirloin Course, which was served first, and then we could order more steaks using a touch panel whenever we wanted. There was also a salad, curry, soup, and bread available, as well as drinks from the bar counter. After ordering, we helped ourselves to the salad bar and sauce bar while waiting for the steaks to be served. The first serving came in less than 10 minutes, and we ordered the next one as soon as it arrived. The steaks were served in about 5 minutes each time. We had 3 pieces of sirloin and chuck flap tail each. It was a delicious meal.

Today, I visited Steak Gusto Sakai Hamadera Temple store for the first time. I have been working too much lately, so I have almost half a month off this month, but I am a homebody at heart, so even on consecutive holidays, I get bored easily. I really hate the cold, so going out to eat is not my thing. I decided to go for a walk to get some exercise, and ended up at Steak Gusto. I ate and drank too much, and the walk back was tough. I know I may be contradicting myself by using the same restaurant chain two days in a row, but I hope you can forgive me. The first picture is of the "Misji Steak 150g + Curry & Healthy Salad Bar Set." Today, I visited with the intention of combining exercise with my meal, thinking "I need meat, meat, and vegetables!" But when I sat down and saw that the daily curry was Butter Chicken Curry, I couldn't resist. Before I knew it, I was ordering more, taking advantage of the weekday Happy Hour. As more hardworking people started coming in for lunch, I couldn't help but order more. I may have overindulged in the salad bar, curry bar, and Happy Hour specials. On a side note, my solo routine for the day as a single guy in his early 30s goes like this: "Wake up, do laundry, walk, eat steak, walk, take a nap, write a blog, have some drinks in the evening, and go to bed." Oh, what a wonderful life it is! It's too good to be true! I tend to make a lot of puns in my writing, but I'm still in my early 30s, so what do you expect? If you find yourself enjoying my stories and getting carried away by the deliciousness, why not try visiting a well-established steak chain restaurant under a reputable group like this one?

"I never thought I could enjoy Wagyu beef this much here." That's how I felt when I tried the Nagasaki Wagyu grill at Steak Gusto this time. As the New Year's mood was fading away, I visited this restaurant and found myself tempted by luxurious menus that could easily bring back the New Year's atmosphere. What I ordered this time was the Nagasaki Wagyu Thick-cut Sirloin Steak and the Nagasaki Wagyu Beef Fat Grill. These are high-quality Nagasaki Wagyu beef that has won special awards at the National Wagyu Ability Competition, which can be considered as the Wagyu Olympics. While Steak Gusto has offered Wagyu steak on a limited basis in the past, it seems rare to specifically feature a particular brand of Wagyu like this time. This was probably my first time trying Nagasaki Wagyu, and I found the sirloin steak to be tender with a good balance of lean meat and fat, making it different from regular steak. On the other hand, the beef fat grill that I ordered seemed to be made from the trimmings left after cutting the sirloin. It's not common for a steakhouse to offer beef fat in this way as a menu item. The beef fat included some lean meat as well, not just pure fat. I chose the smallest portion of 150g for the sirloin steak, but alternating between the sirloin and beef fat gave me a satisfying and delicious experience as if I had ordered the 240g sirloin. The luxurious menu this time also includes a grill with Ise lobster called Ise Lobster Thermidor, available until January 9th (Mon, holiday). If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend you do so soon."

Steak Gusto - I had lunch along a main street during my business trip! It's been a long time since I've been to a family restaurant like Gusto! I wasn't very hungry, so I had the set with a sunny-side-up hamburger steak and rice! I was a little torn between getting the salad set, but I'm glad I got full!

Today's lunch was 879 yen, which included a hot leaf and grated daikon radish hamburger steak with rice, a soup bar, and a drink bar. I used a Steak Gusto app coupon to get a little discount. The hamburger steak was hot and the daikon radish and leaf toppings were great! It was delicious. The soup bar had corn soup and seaweed soup, and I went back for seconds of the corn soup. It had a lot of corn and tasted really good! Adding the drink bar for 110 yen was cheaper than buying drinks at a convenience store. I had vegetable juice, Calpis soda, and hot cafe latte, and after drinking them, my stomach felt full. I was tempted to add the salad bar, but I decided against it because I tend to overeat and there was only one type of bread available.

My impression was that a hamburger that goes well with a rich sauce like demi-glace would be better than eating it with a light daikon oroshi. A light burger with a light daikon oroshi, it felt like it was lacking a punch... It was delicious though. I want to hear the sizzling sound of the iron plate! There was also curry. It's diverse and nice!

[Chewiness and the umami flavor typical of red meat] - that is the characteristic of the thick-cut steak made from Uruguayan beef that I had at "Steak Gusto" this time. I had previously tried Uruguayan beef steak back in June at a major steak chain called "Steak Miya", so I was curious to see how it compared to the one at "Steak Gusto". I visited the "Steak Gusto" store recently and ordered the "Uruguayan Thick-cut Beef Steak" which came with a limited-time Hokkaido scallop grill. While the steak I had at "Steak Miya" was around 240g and cost roughly ¥2,500, the Uruguayan steak at "Steak Gusto" was 250g and about half the price. As for the taste difference, I think it may be due to the different cuts of meat (note: "Steak Miya" was sirloin, "Steak Gusto" cut unspecified), but this time's steak had a more chewy texture and a wild flavor that brought out the natural umami of the meat. However, this also meant it was a bit tough to chew, so it might be a bit difficult for small children or elderly people to eat (note: "Steak Gusto" also advised to cut it into smaller pieces for easier consumption). While it's hard to compare due to the different cuts and prices, as someone who has tried both restaurants' Uruguayan beef steaks, I would recommend "Steak Miya" for those who prioritize luxury and ease of eating, and "Steak Gusto" for those who love red meat and want to keep expenses down. The availability of Uruguayan beef steak is ending soon at "Steak Miya" (note: some areas switching to barley-fed beef sirloin steak from 8/6 according to their website), and at "Steak Gusto" until 9/15 (note: while supplies last). Please consider this information if you're interested.

"I suddenly thought that 'GW' might mean 'Gyu (beef) Week' (laughs)" That's what I thought when I tried the black wagyu fillet steak I received this time. Normally at 'Steak Gust', the beef used for the fillet steak is from the USA, but when I visited the restaurant this day, they were offering a limited-time campaign until 5/5 (limited quantity, while supplies last) where they were providing black wagyu fillet steak at the same price as the regular fillet steak. Generally, black wagyu beef is more expensive than beef from overseas, so I thought it was a great opportunity and decided to order the black wagyu fillet steak that day. I'm not particularly a black wagyu enthusiast, but when it comes to tender cuts like the fillet, I felt that using black wagyu with a good amount of marbling enhanced the tenderness even more. Black wagyu fillet steak may not be particularly rare at high-end steak restaurants (in fact, it might be expected), but for someone like me, this black wagyu fillet steak at 'Steak Gust' was a perfect menu for an occasional indulgence. With the impact of the new coronavirus, many people may be feeling stressed during this year's GW in 2021, unable to travel far, but for those who have a 'Steak Gust' nearby, I recommend taking advantage of this campaign."

"I think this is the first time I've tried a collaboration menu like this at Skylark." That's what I thought when I tried the Steak Chahan at Steak Gusto this time. On this mid-November day when I visited, Steak Gusto had several fair menus featuring beef harami steak, but there was one menu that caught my eye. It was the "Beef Harami Pepper Cut Steak Teppanyaki Chahan" that I ordered this time. This dish is a combination of the chahan from another Skylark group restaurant, Bamiyan, with sliced beef harami steak on top, and after it is served, customers mix the special garlic soy sauce, egg yolk, beef harami pepper cut steak, and chahan themselves. Because it is a dish that you finish just before eating, I was able to enjoy the aroma of the meat and sauce in its best state. Also, the hot teppanyaki plate created a crispy crust on the chahan, giving it a deliciously fragrant taste that heightened my appetite even more. Considering this crispy element, you could say that this menu is similar to stone bibimbap. The beef harami, accented with black pepper, allowed me to taste the perfect balance of sweetness from the fat. This Steak Chahan is only available at Steak Gusto, not at Bamiyan, and it seems to be on the menu until the end of January next year. If you enjoy steak as well as chahan and crispy crust, give it a try.

On August 24, 2020, around 12:50 PM, I visited Steak Gust Sakai Hamadera branch. I had to change my work schedule to the morning due to some circumstances (my bike light stopped working). I was considering various options for lunch, but ended up choosing Steak Gust. As part of their COVID-19 measures, they required hand sanitization before the meal and the use of gloves for the salad bar tongs. I used a coupon to order a luxurious 150g sirloin steak with a healthy salad bar and drink bar for a total of 1571 yen. The food arrived about 6 minutes after ordering. The meat was very tender and juicy, cooked to a medium-rare level. The only downside was that the only side dish was potatoes, but the sauce with roasted stone had a fruity flavor and was delicious. I was looking forward to the salad bar, especially the watermelon, but unfortunately, they had already finished serving it as summer was ending. Nonetheless, the steak was delicious. I enjoyed my meal for about an hour as usual before leaving. Thank you for the meal.

On April 29, 2020, around 1:00 PM, I went to Steak Gust Sakai Hamadera store for Meat Day. They had alcohol disinfection at the entrance. I used a coupon for a 160g aged cut steak and a drink bar. While waiting for the steak, I enjoyed the buffet. It took about 7 minutes for the steak to arrive, and it was very tender and juicy. I realized that it tastes better when eaten with the hot stone after I had already finished most of it, so I tried it with the last two pieces. It was indeed more delicious. After eating, I stayed for about an hour to enjoy the buffet more before leaving. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I visited Steak Gusto Sakai Hamadera store around 1 pm on Friday, March 20th, which is the Vernal Equinox Day. The restaurant was full, so I had to wait a bit, but I was seated promptly once a table became available. Since it was before payday, I opted for the Oroshi Burger Lunch set priced at 989 yen including tax. The highlight was definitely the salad bar, which offered a wide variety of options. I ordered and started with the salad bar, and before I knew it, my burger arrived. The hamburger was juicy and delicious. They also had a sauce bar, but I chose to use ponzu sauce for a refreshing taste, which was really good. I enjoyed the salad bar even after finishing my meal and left feeling satisfied with a full stomach. I made sure to finish everything I took. They also had measures in place for COVID-19 prevention, as they asked us to sanitize our hands before the meal. I received a coupon, so I definitely want to visit again. Located about a 3-minute walk from Minami-Umi Ishizu-gawa Station, turn right at the Ishizu-machi intersection on Prefectural Route 34. I arrived around 1 pm and was guided after a short wait. The restaurant was crowded when I entered, but it calmed down after about 40 minutes. I ordered the aged flap cut steak 160g with a healthy salad bar, which cost 1295 yen including tax. There was an additional charge for the drink bar, but I decided to skip it this time. The main cut steak arrived promptly after ordering. It came with fried potatoes and onions as sides. The steak sauce was plentiful, and I enjoyed it with ponzu and onion sauce. I asked the staff for advice on the doneness, and it was cooked to a medium level. The meat was tender and paired well with the refreshing sauces. The salad bar had a wide variety of colorful salads, and I had two refills. The sweet potato was particularly delicious. The dressing options were abundant, and I enjoyed it with ponzu. I prefer the Japanese-style dressing. The soup bar offered two types of soup, onion corn soup and seaweed soup, as corn potage was not available. The dessert options were fewer than the vegetable salads, but they were still tasty. Although I didn't have any bread this time, there were two types available with a toaster, which I thought was a nice touch. The curry had a lot of broth, but it was satisfying. At the end of the meal, I drew a lottery and received a discount on the hamburger & shrimp fry with a healthy salad bar, so I would definitely like to use it next time. The staff's service was excellent, and they were efficient. They offer daily lunch specials with the option to add a healthy salad bar for under 1000 yen, which is a great deal. I spent about an hour there. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. The convenient location makes me want to visit again.

I wanted to eat a big piece of meat, so I went to Steak Gusto. This time, I chose the lean meat option from the regular red meat and the misuji (oyster blade) meat. It was a whopping 450 grams in size! Although we initially thought about each eating a whole piece, we decided to share between two people to start. While waiting for the meat to cook, we enjoyed the all-you-can-eat salad bar, bread, and soup bar. We didn't want to overdo it before getting to the meat, so we tried to be moderate. When the sizzling meat arrived, it made quite an impression with its size. It was almost rare, so we cut it and adjusted the cooking on the hot stone to our liking. We enjoyed it with various sauces from the sauce bar, but ultimately, the soy sauce with garlic and onion flavors that were on the table fit the best. The meat was delicious, and sharing one between two people was definitely the right choice. We were very full by the end. The taste may not be as high-end as a luxury steakhouse, but it was hot and tasty until the last bite. I'm satisfied, but I probably won't go back for more intentionally. It was a good experience with the novelty of a big piece of meat.

In 2018, I had various experiences. I had some errands in Sakai on New Year's Eve and decided to have lunch there. I tried the set meal with a salad bar, soup bar, and grated hamburger for 863 yen including tax. It was delicious. The salad had a variety of options and the hot hamburger was also very tasty. For dessert, I had fruit jelly, chocolate pudding, and coffee jelly. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for this year.

Recently, the steak industry seems to be in a state of intense competition. When it comes to steak, there is no doubt that a thick, satisfying cut is the way to go. I don't want to spend money on thin, quickly cooked steaks (laughs). Up until recently, a certain steak chain's rib roast was a good value because you could choose the cut, but after their menu change, I quickly lost interest. So, I started looking for a replacement, but so far, I haven't found a place that can beat their previous menu. I decided to increase my budget a bit and visited various chain restaurants, and for now, Steak Gusto's rib roast seems to be the best in terms of taste and value. The quality of the meat is comparable to the other steak chain. If they could offer a set menu with salad and drink that cannot be refilled, in addition to the drink bar and salad bar, I think it would be a good value for enjoying steak. However, I understand that it may be difficult due to operational reasons, so I can't ask for too much (laughs). It's impossible to eat Japanese beef at a chain restaurant for under 3000 yen (except for a limited time offer at a certain steak chain), so I think it's worth trying some decent quality domestic beef steak. When it comes to eating steak, if the cost is too low, it's better to just have a beef bowl, so at this price range, I think it's not bad for an occasional steak meal.

I went to Steak Gusto Sakai Hamadera for lunch on the first Friday after the state of emergency was declared. I had a coupon, so with the drink bar included, it came to 989 yen including tax. I had the same thing as last time, so I don't have a photo. The taste was consistent and good. Just like last time, I was asked to disinfect my hands with alcohol. Thank you for the meal. P.S.
