Today, on March 31, 2023 (Friday), I had a solo lunch in Kurosaki. I went to a restaurant called "Wadining Kairaku" where you can eat tempura rice bowls and soba or udon. They have some reasonably priced menu options which is convenient. I ordered a small tempura rice bowl and zaru soba set. The soba had a good texture and was surprisingly delicious. The tempura in the small rice bowl was crispy and tasty. The sauce was on the sweeter side, which was a bit overwhelming for my taste sensitivity. Overall, it was a good meal and I quickly finished everything. It's a nice restaurant close to the station. Thank you for the meal.

On the way from JR Kokuzaki Station to ComCity, there is a Japanese restaurant. After finishing my business at the Yahata Nishi Ward Office, I decided to stop by for lunch. Unfortunately, the service was not as good as Kura at Aeon Tobata store. Despite not being full, I had to wait a bit to be seated, and I had to wait quite a while for my order of winter Tendon set to arrive. The tempura was soggy, the rice slightly smelly, and not piping hot (sad face). The Tendon, udon, chawanmushi, and mini dessert coffee jelly for less than 1000 yen is a good deal even though it's close to the station.

As of January 31, 2022, the operating hours have changed to 11:00-20:00. Located next to Lingua Hut on the Com City side after exiting the Kurosaki Station ticket gate, this restaurant serving Japanese set meals and udon opened around spring of 2021. On this day, I went to the Kurosaki area to take photos as a hobby. Since I was going to walk a lot and climb, I decided to first replenish my calories. The daily lunch specials here used to have tonkatsu on Mondays, but it seems like the order has been shuffled, and now it's chicken and vegetable with black vinegar, with tonkatsu moved to Saturdays. Apart from the daily specials, the regular set meals also seem to have plenty of vegetables and colorful items based on the sample photos. Therefore, I changed my plan to take out, especially since the weather was nice. I chose the beef kalbi grilled meat bowl, which looked like it had a high amount of meat and rice. I love bento boxes with just meat and rice (*^ω^*). They kindly served me warm hojicha while I waited for my takeout order, which took about 3-5 minutes to prepare. The beef kalbi grilled meat bowl was almost all meat, with a small amount of kimchi and just one piece of lettuce, which was perfect for me. The kalbi was cooked with a sweet and savory sauce, which went well with the rice. It reminded me of the kalbi bowl from Meshiya Donburi, a place I used to frequent when I lived in Kurosaki. Overall, the meal was satisfying with plenty of tender fatty meat and a generous portion. The rice was unusually chewy, which may not appeal to everyone, but I didn't mind it. The restaurant's strength lies in its daily lunch specials available until 5:00 PM, which would be very convenient for those arriving at odd hours. I didn't see a PayPay QR code at the counter, but some customers were using iD payment.
