After checking into the hotel, we headed to our second stop. We had done quite a bit of walking and our stomachs were feeling good. We ordered a set of ramen, gyoza, and draft beer. The ramen had a thick layer of floating back fat, giving it a rich flavor compared to the first place we visited. I was a bit worried about the portion size, but as I ate, I found myself enjoying it more and more. The gyoza was small and crispy, adding to the delicious meal. Perhaps it was the back fat I consumed earlier, but the richness seemed to mellow out as I continued eating, and I was able to finish everything easily. The ice-cold draft beer was refreshing after walking in the hot sun. If I could, I would definitely go back for this wonderful meal that made me crave a bowl of white rice.

The ramen was seared fatty pork chashu noodles. The seared aroma was not noticeable, and the chashu was tough. Disappointing. The only positive was the ice-cold beer and the good deal set that came with gyoza and fried chicken. The mint on the toothpick was a nice touch. An extra 0.5 points for that.

Before the movie, we rushed to have a meal! Even though the screening time was approaching, we made sure to eat some dumplings too... haha. I can't choose between dumplings and fried rice. The dumplings were delicious with juicy meat filling in every bite. It was great that they had a late last order!

When I visited Canal City, I went to Ramen Stadium and used this shop. It was a popular shop and quite crowded, but I was able to get in easily. I ordered the ramen with a boiled egg for 900 yen. It was a nostalgic taste as I used to eat it often when I lived in Fukuoka 20 years ago. After eating, I slightly regretted not upgrading to the seared fatty pork chashu. The boiled egg was rich and delicious.

The shop at Ramen Stadium with a particularly long line. Despite the rich pork bone soup, the noodles were not too heavy when slurped, just the right balance. I was able to finish it smoothly. There were many signed autographs inside the shop, making me feel lucky.

This was my first time trying "Hide-chan Ramen"! Today I went to Canal's La Sta. My wife narrowed it down to three options and I made the final choice! Even though my wife chose it because the chashu looked delicious, it was completely different chashu from what was pictured. Maybe they changed it due to a price increase? I ordered the ramen and fried rice set, but the noodles were too hard for my liking...not my favorite. The soup also tasted a bit weak to me. I wish they had some seasoning on the table. The fried rice was just average...nothing special. Thank you for the meal. Ramen preferences can vary, so this review may not be helpful...

I ordered the standout menu item, the Spicy Miso Ramen with a hint of stir-fried vegetables for 1300 yen. It came with 5 pieces of tripe, which were stir-fried with vegetables and placed on top of the ramen. The soup had a mix of beef flavor but tasted like a thin soy sauce ramen with lots of oil. I couldn't quite figure out the exact flavor. Overall, I didn't feel like eating it again.

I waited a little bit after the opening. I ordered a gyoza set and simmered egg. The interior of the restaurant had various famous people's autographs displayed, so it was not boring. The ramen had mushrooms in it. The noodles were thin, white, with just the right firmness and were excellent. The gyoza was also delicious and easy to eat in a good size. The way the egg was served was very cute (in a bowl). I will definitely go again.

I came to Canal City for tonkotsu ramen, as expected. The signboards were displayed all over the shop, so my expectations were heightened. I ordered the chashu ramen, and the pork fat had melted into the soup, making it nice and creamy. The chashu and light soup complemented each other well. I prefer my noodles to be firm, and they were just right as they softened over time. The gyoza was also delicious, a bite-sized gyoza from Hakata! The beer was tasty too. Thank you for the meal.

202211 Hakata Ramen Activity Part 1 Canal City Hakata Ramen Stadium Char Siu Noodles 980, Drooling Chicken Dumplings The rich and creamy soup is quite delicious. I ordered the noodles with a firm texture, but they turned out to be soft, which was disappointing. The char siu would be better without the gas burner...

Located inside Canal City Fukuoka's Ramen Stadium, this place here. Ramen shops clustered in such commercial facilities often have mediocre taste. In an attempt to hedge the risk even slightly, I decided to visit this place, which had the highest Tabelog rating in the stadium. The ramen costs 720 yen. Upon arrival and seeing the soup, I immediately thought, "Oh, I made a mistake." The tonkotsu broth looked pale. And indeed, when I tried the soup, it was indeed weak. Not delicious. The noodles were medium-thin straight noodles. But before discussing the compatibility with the soup, it was simply weak. Did they mess up the proportions? The toppings were chashu, wood ear mushrooms, and green onions. I managed to finish it quickly, but I felt like it was a one-sided match from the beginning. I cannot recommend this place.

I went to the first generation Hide-chan Ramen in Ramen Stadium at Canal City. The soup is creamy, rich, and light. It doesn't have a strong pork bone smell, so even those who don't like pork bone ramen can enjoy it. The noodles are thin straight noodles, and you can taste the wheat flavor. The wood ear mushrooms are thinly sliced with a firm texture, and the chashu is so tender that you can't even feel your teeth sinking in! It's recommended to go in the evening as there is a long line during the day. #FirstGenerationHidechan #FirstGenerationHidechanRamen #CanalCity #FukuokaPrefecture #PorkBoneRamen #Rich #SearedChashu #Gourmet #Ramen

I visited the first generation Hidetan at Canal City for lunch a while ago. It is located in Ramen Stadium. The restaurant has counter seats and table seats. This time, I had ramen. A ramen with a large slice of chashu appeared. It was my first time trying Hidetan Ramen, but it was very delicious with its rich tonkotsu soup and well-cooked noodles.

I entered the ramen shops lined up in Canal City! Of course, admission is free, but it was really interesting. There were several shops offering Fukuoka ramen and ramen from other prefectures, making it hard to choose. Since I was in Fukuoka, I wanted to try Fukuoka ramen, so I visited the original Hidetchan. I waited for about 5 minutes before entering. I handed over my meal ticket while waiting in line, so I got my bowl of ramen within 5 minutes of sitting down. The Hakata ramen had delicious soup! Each shop's flavor stands out. It's rich but refreshing and easy to drink, and I found myself drinking it up. The noodles could have a bit more flavor, but they were very tasty when slurped up with the soup. I added a seasoned egg topping, which was also amazing! It had just the right amount of creamy texture.

I tried a tonkotsu ramen that wasn't smelly for two days in a row, so I decided to have a more authentic tonkotsu ramen this time. I found a new shop and visited the Ramen Stadium inside Hakata Canal City this time. They have famous shops from various places like Hakata, Kurume, Kyoto, etc. The shop I chose was Hatsujiro. It was Wednesday at 2 pm, and the place was about 30% full. After pondering in front of the ticket machine for a few minutes, I ordered a ramen and beer set for 1100 yen. First, a draft beer served in a frozen mug arrived. It felt like the shop had its own unique touch. While sipping on the beer, the ramen was served in a few minutes. The amount of toppings and the size of the chashu were impressive. The soup was a thick tonkotsu broth, with a bit of a smell but tasted like a creamy potage. The noodles were straight and thin, and they were cooked just right. The toppings included black fungus, green onions, and chashu. The chashu was lean but tender, which I personally enjoyed. I had recently tried a refined tonkotsu ramen without any smell, but this time it was a rich tonkotsu broth. However, it wasn't unpleasant at all. Maybe I've started to like tonkotsu ramen with a bit of smell. This bowl made me think that way. It was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

Hide-chan Ramen Hong Kong branch, operated by owner Kawahara who also runs the established Hakata Daruma since 1963, has been selected in the Michelin Guide in 2012 and 2013. When ordering a regular-sized ramen, you can taste the original flavor from when the restaurant was first founded. The ultimate bowl features a rich soup made with pork trotters and backbones, resulting in a flavorful and sweet broth. The ultra-thin noodles are made from domestically sourced wheat, creating a perfect texture when combined with the rich soup. The thick and juicy char siu, marinated in a unique sauce, offers a soft and succulent texture that is sure to please.

When I went to Fukuoka, I had to try some ramen. On Saturdays, popular ramen shops are crowded with locals lining up, but for some reason, ramen stadiums in various places tend to be less crowded. I headed straight to Shu-chan Ramen in Canal City Hakata, where I used to go often. The ramen with egg did not disappoint, it was delicious as always! It had been a while since I last had it, but it was still tasty. Of course, I also got an extra serving of noodles!

Today, I was debating where to have lunch while shopping, and after much thought, I decided to go to Ramen Stadium for the first time in over 10 years. It brought back memories of when my friends and I used to come here. I checked out the menus of all the shops, and even though I've had it before, I couldn't resist getting the ramen (with seasoned egg and green onions) from Shu-chan's shop. It was as delicious as ever!

I went to Ramen Stadium in Canal City Hakata after shopping. It had been about 20 years since I last visited with my family when I was a child, haha. We decided on Shu-chan based on the recommendation of my companion. I topped my ramen with green onions and flavored egg. It was very delicious.

I visited for the first time. The ramen and fried rice were delicious! However, I was surprised by how little was in the half portion of fried rice. I should have ordered a regular size instead. I forgot to take a photo, but I also had dumplings, and the sauce was a bit too vinegary for me, with less soy sauce flavor. I prefer the regular sauce.
