I went to a yakitori chain restaurant that is relatively close by. Last time, I came on a Sunday with my family for a gathering. The restaurant is always lively with a large number of people. The food variety is rich, not only yakitori. I think there was consommé potato or something like that? I slightly forgot, but the flavored potato was delicious. The yakitori was decently tasty. The cucumber dish with Japanese seasoning that I ordered this time was too spicy. For the finale, I ordered porridge and it was just right when I added kelp to it (laughs). The cold noodles were cooked in the broth without boiling the somen separately, making it too salty.

I happened to come here after a photo shoot at a studio on the second floor of the same building, recommended by the staff there. From the outside, it looked dark, but inside, it had a stylish atmosphere for a yakitori restaurant. The menu was reasonably priced, making it easy to order a variety of dishes, and the food was delicious. I was happy to see they had chicken sashimi on the menu! I brought along a small child, and the staff even offered us a blanket. Everyone's customer service was excellent, making it a rare pleasant experience at an izakaya. I feel like I found a good restaurant where I can casually visit. I will definitely go back again. (^^)

Reasonable prices and a wide variety of menu options. The flavors are safe and consistent. I tried various types of yakitori since it was my first time at the restaurant. As a yakitori lover, I found the prices to be cheaper than other places, but the taste was also reflected in that. In terms of cost performance, it was just right. It's not exactly the type of yakitori place I prefer, but the service was good and pleasant. If I have the chance next time, I'll try ordering something other than yakitori. The chicken tenderloin was delicious. The one thing I wish could be improved is the tsukune.

I'm a regular customer at this restaurant! I always rely on Mr. Shokichi for great service. I also visit the Ichijo-dori branch from time to time. I personally prefer the atmosphere there compared to the main branch. The staff are handsome like at the main branch. I enjoy taking photos as a hobby, so my photo folder is full of pictures of Mr. Shokichi's delicious dishes. The food is always tasty, and sometimes I go for the chef's choice option which is always full of surprises! The staff always treat me well. I'm a woman, but I feel comfortable dining alone at this izakaya and yakitori restaurant. It's rare to find a yakitori place where a woman can dine alone. By the way, I'll be going there again today!笑

One day, a group of friendly husbands in the neighborhood decided to go out for drinks together. They headed to Shokichi along Route 13, where they were already well into their drinks when I arrived. The beer menu remained unchanged from the opening, so please refer to the link provided for details. The special monthly menu was blank that day. The chicken skin boiled in ponzu sauce was the first dish to arrive, with thicker slices than before but still delicious. The cold steamed chicken with spicy ponzu sauce was a hit, perfect for pairing with drinks. The service was good, with attentive staff quickly clearing plates. Next, they ordered yakitori, which had large pieces and decent seasoning, although the cooking was slightly uneven. The gizzards were overcooked, but the hearts were just right. They also had kama meshi, but got caught up in conversation and forgot to take photos. Overall, a good experience with good service. Thank you for the meal. As for the original visit in November 2015, the new yakitori restaurant Shokichi had opened in a location where a chain used to be. The menu was not yet written down, but they had a special offer of 100 yen drinks for the opening. Unfortunately, the charcoal grill was not working that day, so they couldn't serve yakitori. Despite the disappointment, they enjoyed the steamed chicken and spicy spring rolls, which were well-presented on the plate. The sauce for the spring rolls was a mix of mayo and watercress, which tasted great. The chicken skin boiled in ponzu sauce was also satisfying. The dishes were served on unique plates with writing that became visible as the food was eaten. Overall, a good experience despite the initial disappointment.

I entered the store at 18:00. The store has many tatami and table seats, and it is quite spacious. The modern Japanese style of the store feels stylish. The menu includes a wide variety of dishes such as grilled dishes, fried dishes, salads, side dishes, noodles, and rice dishes. The prices for yakitori are listed per skewer (mostly around 130 yen), and you need to order at least two skewers. I ordered negima, bonjiri, chicken skin, tsukune with egg, thigh meat, pork belly, plum and shiso flavored chicken breast, quail bacon (highly recommended), fried chicken, tofu salad, and yakitori rice bowl, and all of them tasted delicious.
