Visited the Kuchiaji Coco Ichibanya for the first time. I was interested in trying their curry udon, as I had previously tried their curry ramen at the Kokura Minami Inter Store and found it lacking. I thought that the curry udon would not disappoint. The options for the curry udon are limited, but luckily the Kuchiaji store was one I had not visited before, so I decided to give it a try. The curry ramen had a curry broth that was not to my liking, as it felt like "curry water" rather than a flavorful broth. However, this curry udon had a more traditional Japanese broth, although it lacked a strong aroma. After trying it out, I came to the conclusion that for me, "Coco Ichibanya is all about the curry rice, specifically the beef curry." It was just as I had expected.

I really wanted to eat outside, but I resisted and got takeout instead. We always eat the same thing at home. Ever since watching the comedian episode of AmeTalk featuring Coco Ichibanya, I've been hooked on their pork cutlet curry. It never disappoints. Recently, I saw Takashima Masahiro on TV saying how delicious the garlic is, so I wanted to try it, but I accidentally ordered pickled radish instead. Silly me... The pickled radish was tasty though.
