If you want to make CoCo Ichibanya's curry spicier, ordering level 10 spiciness and adding extra spicy spices was the way I enjoyed it as a spicy food lover. However, this time I heard that they have introduced level 15 spiciness, so I decided to give it a try. I was seated promptly as usual without having to wait. This reliability makes me feel at ease. Every summer, I know that adding spiciness to spiced curry makes it the ultimate dish, so this year I ordered the spiced curry. It arrived in about 5 minutes, which was also reliable. Unlike previous years, this year the ingredients seemed to be cooked more thoroughly. In the past, it was all about rice, toppings, curry, and spices with a trendy presentation and ethnic spices that I wanted to try before the season ended. However, this year's spiced curry had a more subtle spiciness and lacked that special feeling. Perhaps it's due to the high cost of ingredients... Now, as for the taste, it was reliably delicious, and the spiciness I was looking for was definitely there. It was spicier than level 10. But I can't quite put my finger on it, there seemed to be a hint of bitterness as well. Spiciness is not just about adding more, it's about balancing the overall taste - the moment it enters your mouth, the balance between the saltiness, spiciness, sweetness, and aroma that enhances the spiciness. In that sense, I think last year's level 10 spiced curry was much more deliciously spicy. If I were to order a classic dish next time, I think I'll stick with level 10. Thank you for the meal!

Beef curry for 641 yen, sausage for 295 yen, 2 spiciness level for 44 yen, rice 200g for -52 yen. I usually go for level 5 spiciness, but I was curious about how spicy level 2 would be, so I ordered it. Even at level 2, it had a good amount of spiciness and was just right. When I'm not feeling well, this level of spiciness might be perfect. The sausage came in a decent size, with 4 pieces. It was tasty and went well with the curry. They also have a vegetable curry sauce option which I haven't tried yet. I'll challenge myself to try that next time.

Visited the restaurant around 1 pm on a national holiday. Was able to be seated smoothly. They have dividers with one-person partitions at every seat, so it's perfect for COVID-19 measures and you can enjoy your lunch with peace of mind. The staff are friendly, and they all seem cute and handsome ❤️ This time, I had my favorite Chicken Spice Curry, level 10 spicy, in a small size. The small size leaves a bit of leftover curry, but the portion is just right. The crispy surface and juicy inside of the chicken, paired with the spicy curry, go perfectly together. The spiciness is refreshing and satisfyingly hot, meeting the spicy cravings of a spice lover like me. The pink pickled onions are sweet and sour, with a crunchy texture, making for a nice break from the spoon. It's a limited edition item until November, so I have to go back one more time →

I visited CoCo Ichibanya for the first time in several years. I was thinking about what to eat for dinner on my way home from work. As I was driving on Route 3, I saw CoCo Ichibanya and decided to stop by for curry. I arrived at the parking lot from the back of the store after making a few right turns. It was close to closing time at midnight, so I made it just in time around 11:30 pm. I ordered the limited-time beef minced cutlet curry with 500 grams of vegetable toppings and medium spiciness. I also got a Caesar salad with a soft-boiled egg on top. The minced cutlet was crispy and juicy, but I got a bit tired of the 500 grams of curry halfway through eating it. CoCo Ichibanya, it had been a while, but the curry seemed unremarkable and lacking in flavor. I used to easily finish a 500-gram serving before, but maybe my taste buds have changed, or there are now many other places that serve delicious curry, making me more discerning. The Caesar salad dressing was quite salty, making it a bit difficult to eat. Considering all this, the bill in the 1700 yen range felt quite high. If I need a quick late-night meal and there are no other open restaurants, I might stop by again for curry, but I don't think I will revisit during the day or evening when there are more dining options available.

I ate CoCo Ichibanya curry for the first time in a while! I'm used to eating curry at home. I ordered the "handmade tonkatsu curry" and there were so many menu options, it was hard to choose. The rice portion and spiciness level were normal. I don't agree with the extra charge for adjusting the spiciness. The katsu curry was delicious. It was crowded during lunchtime peak hours. Even after finishing their meal, some people were reading manga provided or playing with their smartphones. It affects the turnover rate.

I went in the slightly crowded afternoon. Water didn't come, they didn't bring cutlery even after the salad arrived. The curry rice was a bit watery. I understand they are busy, but it's very different from other branches.

Today for dinner, I visited "CoCo Ichibanya Jinbara Store" in Yahatanishi-ku, Jinbara. The restaurant is located along Route 3 in Jinbara. It seems that they also have a drive-thru option. The interior of the restaurant has a burnt brown wood theme with white chairs, creating a chic atmosphere. It's a bit different from other CoCo Ichibanya locations I've been to before. Despite the late hour, there were still a few customers inside. I ordered the minced meat cutlet curry with hashed beef. It was delicious!

CoCo Ichibanya in Jinbara, Yahatanishi-ku, Kitakyushu. The westernmost CoCo Ichibanya in Kitakyushu. Visited for the purpose of trying the "Mini Naan." This time, I got the sauce only of the Roasted Spice Chicken Curry (661 yen) and a Mini Naan (126 yen) for takeout. The Roasted Spice Chicken Curry has a strong spice flavor and chunks of chicken. The base sauce is pork-based and more hot than spicy. It's surprising to find such authentic spice curry at CoCo Ichibanya. The Mini Naan is soft and very delicious, although it tends to leave sauce leftover when eaten alone. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.
