At work, I finally managed to put together a document that I had been working on for over 10 years. It was a relief to finally get it done. I also finished preparing for a long business trip this year. This weekend, I felt no pressure at all, which was a rare occurrence in the past 12 years. Today is a pressure-free anniversary day! I want to enjoy a fun weekend with my favorite drive. I invited my wife to go on a drive with me. My beloved car is 27 years old, a coupe type, almost stock. We headed to Rumoi from Asahikawa, where there is a highway all the way to Rumoi city. It's my first time driving all the way to Rumoi. I looked up places to eat and places with a view of the sea before going. I decided on this place called "Jyanome Sushi" for sushi. It seemed quite popular, and there were already many cars parked when we arrived. The line in front of the restaurant had about 10 people waiting. I'm not a fan of waiting in line, but since it was my pressure-free anniversary, I found waiting in line enjoyable. We entered the restaurant, had our temperature checked, sanitized our hands, and were seated at a table on the first floor. The table was separated, which made it comfortable. I had already decided on the premium sushi set, and it was delicious. You could upgrade the miso soup to fish head soup for a small fee, so I did. My wife kept the regular miso soup. The sushi set arrived in about 15 minutes, 13 pieces in total! It was quite a lot. I started with the white fish, which was surprisingly flavorful and had a good texture. The sushi was almost flat but had a softness that melted in the mouth, with just the right amount of vinegared rice. Next was the crab. It was a bit small, but the flavor was delightful. I decided to try the fish head soup. It was delicious, but the flavor was so rich that I needed to reset my palate with tea before continuing with the sushi. The staff quickly brought a teapot for refills. The next piece was sweet shrimp. Even though there were 13 pieces in total for 3,300 yen (tax included), I wished the shrimp were a bit larger, but the taste was excellent. It was a delightful surprise. I continued eating and finished with sea urchin, salmon roe, and fatty tuna. The fatty tuna was exceptionally delicious, and the sea urchin had a homemade feel to it. Sea urchin is my favorite, and this one was amazing. I carefully prepared it before eating, enjoying the rich flavor. The meal was fantastic, and I let out a big sigh of satisfaction at the end. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. The price of 3,300 yen (tax included) was surprisingly cheap. The checkout line was long, but the staff handled it with smiles and excellent service. It was a delightful pressure-free anniversary day. It was the best lunch experience. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
