On this day, I casually stopped by "Yoshinoya Chacha Town Kokura Store."
◇Exterior and Interior
Located inside the large commercial facility Chacha Town in Sunatsu, Kokura Kita-ku, Kitakyushu City, this beef bowl restaurant is a branch of the well-known chain Yoshinoya. It recently opened in Chacha Town.
◇Seating
The seating capacity is decent, with a friendly and approachable atmosphere.
◇Menu Composition
Featuring beef bowls as the main dish, along with curry, pork bowls, eel bowls, set meals, and a variety of familiar options. You can customize toppings freely, and they also offer limited-time products. The order placed included:
- Beef Bowl (635 yen) → tax-inclusive price, with extra serving.
On a certain weekday morning, "Beef bowl for breakfast?!" Yes, there are days like that. "No green onions?!" Regardless of the reason, it was a regular beef bowl. The familiar bowl had a decent portion for the price, and the taste was good. The price is reasonable for the amount served, and the flavor is satisfying. The seven spice blend also adds a nice touch. Despite being a new store, the consistency in taste shows the reliability of the chain.
◆Strong Points
Enjoy Japanese beef bowls easily!
◆Customer Service
Average.
◆Conclusion
I heard that they temporarily stopped offering takeout eggs to maintain quality. It's a shame. Thank you for the meal.

Gyudon (regular size) for 440 yen, extra sauce for free. While I was at it, I stopped by Chachatown. My goal was to complete the Yoshinoya challenge. It's been 9 months since I last had it at the Kokura Racecourse last summer. It's been a while since I had it, but I didn't remember Yoshinoya's gyudon being this flavorful. I always thought that compared to Sukiya, their seasoning was lighter. Anyway, gyudon is so cheap, right? Suica is accepted here.

In the place where Dotour used to be, Yoshinoya opened on March 24, 2023. It was close to the Kokura Station Front store, but now it's even closer. The grand opening time was 10:00, but the operating hours are from 8:00 to 23:00. I left home at 9:55 and arrived at Chacha Town to find a long line. Are they serving regular size even at the opening? I thought it might be too much trouble to go today, so I decided to come back another day or just take some photos. It turned out the line was for a different tenant, with only 4-5 people sporadically looking on besides the staff distributing coupons. I ended up becoming the first customer at the grand opening (laughs). The interior of the restaurant has mostly counter seats and a few table seats. It has a wooden design, similar to a Mister Donut in front of the station. You order at the register and carry your tray to your seat. Condiments like pickled ginger and soy sauce are gathered in one place, and there's a tea server there too. I was personally thrilled to see ice available ( *´﹀`* ). Beef bowl with egg (533 yen) - Yoshinoya has also become more expensive. I thought even with adding an egg, it would be around 400 yen, but unexpectedly I didn't have enough change and ended up paying with a five thousand yen bill even though I was the first customer (m(_ _)m). The taste is familiar Yoshinoya flavor. The beef is tender and the seasoning is gentle. In addition to all the regular menu items at Yoshinoya, this store also offers pork-based dishes and fried chicken. Yoshinoya has expanded its menu. They also have a side menu called "Lady Borden," available for dine-in only. A non-Yoshinoya-like point is that the counter seats are equipped with charging ports. Another non-Yoshinoya-like point is that there are no condiments on the table, but once you get used to this system, it shouldn't be a problem. You can pay with PayPay.
