"Kakuosan Fruit Daifuku Benzaiten is famous for their fruit daifuku that you can eat by cutting with a string. I usually buy their fruit daifuku, but this time I purchased their limited edition 'Golden Gravel Mochi.' Inside the mochi is peanut paste, giving it a crunchy texture which is why it's called gravel mochi! The mochi is soft and not too sweet, so you can easily eat as much as you want. One piece costs 230 yen, and a pack of five costs 1,000 yen."

I tried the new generation of fruit daifuku made by a shop that has created a buzz in Nagoya. They were temporarily open in Shin-Osaka, so I decided to buy some. The fruit daifuku is known for its firm texture and high price, making it a good choice for souvenirs. The shop originated in Aichi and became popular a few years ago. It was difficult to bring them back over long distances, but now they have branches in Kansai, including Takarazuka and Itami. The prices range from 380 yen for the cheapest "hassaku" to 680 yen for the most expensive "setoka". The "strawberry" daifuku is 580 yen. Contrary to the samples, the actual size and shape vary depending on the filling. The biggest feature is that all the fruits are firm, yet still taste like fruit without being sour. The thin outer layer and minimal amount of sweet bean paste make them unique. The persimmon daifuku is crispy and not astringent, surprisingly sweet perhaps due to the sweet bean paste. The pineapple daifuku is crispy with a ripe texture and just the right amount of sweetness. The strawberry daifuku is also firm but lacks the typical prickly feeling, making it enjoyable. It is wrapped with a string, making for a clean cut and visually appealing, which may have contributed to its popularity on social media. These fruit daifuku are not your typical daifuku but are designed to enjoy the fruits themselves. They are considered the new generation of daifuku and make a great high-end gift. Thank you for the meal.

A famous shop with its headquarters in Nagoya known for its fruit daifuku. I decided to buy some when I visited Harbis. While there are other shops known for fruit daifuku, Benten's fruit daifuku is more like enjoying the fruit itself. It's a type where seasonal fruits are thinly wrapped in mochi and sweet red bean paste. The mochi is made of soft rice cake or white mochi. The lightly sweet white bean paste is thinly spread in minimal amounts, emphasizing the fruits as the main attraction. Unfortunately, melon and Amaou strawberry were sold out, so I chose persimmon, mandarin orange, hassaku orange, and Shine Muscat. They can also provide a mochi cutting thread upon request. You can use the thread to cut the mochi in half or admire the cross-section. However, I always struggle with the direction to cut, and I ended up cutting one piece in the wrong direction. Among the ones I purchased this time, I might like the mandarin orange the best. The sweetness and juiciness of the mandarin, along with the slightly melting white bean paste and soft white mochi, create a delightful combination. Although smaller than the samples, there may be individual differences in the fruits, so it's understandable. The persimmon also offers a crisp texture and matches well with the natural sweetness and the sweetness of the bean paste. The hassaku orange provides a stable taste with a firm texture and acidity compared to the mandarin. The Shine Muscat also had a fresh taste and was delicious. Since the fruit is the main focus, there is no heaviness from the mochi or bean paste like regular daifuku, making it easy to eat. While it's not in season, I recommend trying the fig as well. I also like figs, so it might be my favorite. I also recommend the strawberry, pineapple, and kiwi varieties. It's a daifuku where you can enjoy seasonal fruits with your eyes and taste buds.

I finally visited Kakuo-san Fruit Daifuku, which I had been curious about after seeing it on TV. It seems like more and more stores are popping up in Kansai. There's even one in Kyoto now! The price varies depending on the fruit, so I chose one that seemed relatively affordable. I picked Shine Muscat and pear. I was surprised by how different their sizes were! When it came to cutting them with the string as they do, the Shine Muscat was easier to cut. It seems that softer fruits are easier to cut. The pear was a bit difficult to cut. But the taste was delicious. The fruits were very juicy. I heard that the pudding at Kakuo-san's store is delicious, so I would like to visit someday.

This is the famous fruit daifuku shop with long lines since opening...! It took 30 minutes to make a purchase. Unfortunately, the fig I wanted was sold out right in front of me. I bought summer strawberries, ripe pineapple, and peaches instead. They were neatly cut with a special thread. The summer strawberry had a sweet and sour taste wrapped in sweet bean paste. The ripe pineapple had a good texture, but it didn't feel fully ripe, although it was sweet. The peach had soft and ripe peach inside. Thank you for the meal.

I had always wanted to try the Fruit Daifuku from Benzaiten at Kakurinji Temple, but hesitated because it costs nearly 700 yen per piece. However, when I heard on a TV show that they were releasing a Kansai-exclusive Golden Peach Fruit Daifuku for 680 yen (tax included), I saw it as a good opportunity and went to buy it. There was already a line from the moment they opened. TV really is amazing. I was one of those people too. - 2 Golden Peaches - 1 small Fig - 1 Mandarin Orange The price was still quite high. The cut is beautiful, so they include a cutting guide and string to cut the daifuku. I may have had my expectations too high, as the taste was a bit disappointing compared to what I had imagined. It is beautiful and may be good as a gift, but if you want to enjoy the fruit flavor, it might be better to just buy good quality fruit. If you want to enjoy the daifuku, you might prefer something with a sweeter taste.

I had always admired the beauty and luxury of the Kakuozan Fruit Daifuku from Nagoya, and finally, it reached my lips... ( ᵕ̤ૢᴗᵕ̤ૢ )୨୧ "Kakuozan Fruit Daifuku Benzaiten" I went to my favorite tableware shop at HEP FIVE in Umeda, and to my surprise, a new store had opened on the 3rd floor! Wait, when did they expand to have 13 stores in Kansai!! Even in Hokkaido's Maruyama Back Street, with an opening scheduled for October 2021... The collaboration of Daifuku and fruits. When it first came out, I was amazed, but the soft Daifuku mochi with a light white bean paste or custard goes well with any fruit. Although it's not as rare anymore, what sets this fruit daifuku apart is the variety and the visual impact of its cross-section!! It quickly went viral and spread on social media. ◉ Mango 680 yen Miyazaki Prefecture's product is limited to the summer season! ◉ Peach 780 yen Fluffy texture and melting sweetness! A small daifuku that costs close to 800 yen each. When I tried to take a picture, I gently took it out of the box and what! There's a string attached!!! A string!? Yes. A string is essential for taking a beautiful photo of the cross-section of the soft mochi and fruit!! My good friend, Myレビ, is also a master of using strings☆°。⋆⸜(* ॑꒳ ॑* )⸝ The soft mochi is quite soft. Double-layered flour is used, and sugar is kept to a minimum to enhance the natural sweetness of the fruit. Of course, no preservatives or emulsifiers are added, so the shelf life is short. The fruits were juicy and delicious, but the mochi was a bit too soft, lacking the chewy texture, which was a bit disappointing ( ̄▽ ̄;) And of course, the price. It would be nice if it was a bit more affordable. By the way, a set of 12 varieties costs 7200 yen ( ̄▽ ̄;) ・Pear ・Fig ・Peach ・Shine Muscat ・Nagano Purple ・Setoka ・Persimmon ・Apple ・Mango ・Kiwi ・Amaou Strawberry ・Ripe Pineapple The fruits change depending on the season •*¨*•.¸¸♬︎ A fruit daifuku that is delightful to eat and delightful to photograph. Thank you for the meal (*´▽`人)

Super premium fruit daifuku. Melon, pineapple, mango, amaou strawberry, blood orange. The breakdown is unclear, but each one costs around 500-900 yen. Except for the melon being quite firm, the fruits are perfectly ripe. The cheapest pineapple is recommended.

I wanted to try these daifuku from Harbs ENT, so I went to buy them after finding out they were available. They were located on the 3rd floor, not in the basement as I had thought. There was no line, so I was able to buy them easily. I bought Yumenoka (580 yen), White Jewel (700 yen), Amaou (820 yen), and Setoka (650 yen). Even with just four pieces, it was quite expensive. When I got home, I cut them in half with a string, took a picture, and started eating. The strawberries were smaller than I expected, and I finished them quickly. The taste and sweetness of the strawberries varied depending on the type. Each one had its own deliciousness! I would like to try them again when peach season comes around...

Last year, a popular Japanese confectionery store called "Kakuozan Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten" opened in Tennoji and Honmachi. On February 22nd, their third store opened at Umeda Herbis ENT. This shop has been featured in the media and is known for their delicious fruit daifuku. They offer a variety of flavors such as Amaou strawberry, mandarin orange, pineapple, kiwi, white jewel (white strawberry), and ripe mango. The daifuku come with a cutting thread, so you can enjoy cutting them at home. The seasonal fruit daifuku are all juicy and incredibly delicious. The white jewel strawberry is especially sweet. The shop closes once they sell out, but you can also make reservations. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Instagram: @masayan.310

I have always wanted to try fruit daifuku. Recently, there are more shops selling fruit daifuku, but I decided to try it here first. I was surprised that the price was higher than I expected! But since I came all the way here, I'll buy it. I purchased a large orange for 680 yen, a green kiwi for 550 yen, and a pineapple for 480 yen. When I got home and my family gathered, we cut them using the included mochi cutting string. Thin mochi with a layer of white bean paste, and whole fruits inside! The orange was juicy, the kiwi was neither sour nor sweet, and the pineapple was... sweet! The cheapest pineapple was the most delicious! But if I'm going to spend this much, I might choose to eat the fruits themselves or choose another dessert. It might be a nice gift to bring to someone. I'm good after trying it once, though, haha.

Fruit Daifuku specialty store Kakuo Mountain Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten in Nagoya, which is very popular, opened its third store on February 22nd in Nishi-Umeda at the Herbis Plaza Ent 3rd floor. This is a great location in Umeda, making it convenient for shopping! They have about 10 different types of Daifuku made with seasonal fruits, with samples displayed. It is only for takeout, so when you get home, enjoy opening the Daifuku! Each Daifuku comes with a string to cut the mochi, allowing you to see the beautiful fruit inside. The fruit Daifuku here has a thin layer of white bean paste and mochi, so you can taste the fruit right from the first bite. All the fruits are carefully selected, fresh, and sweet. The prices may vary depending on the fruit's pricing, so please be aware. It's fun to cut the Daifuku with the string. You can also make reservations, especially if you have a specific fruit in mind. It's also a perfect gift to bring. Thank you for the delicious meal. Kakuo Mountain Fruit Daifuku Bensaiten Umeda Herbis ENT Store 3F, 2-2-22 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka City, Osaka
