I visited on Saturday afternoon. I don't like thick broth, so I ordered the tempura set meal instead of the tempura bowl. The dishes were served faster than I expected. The tempura included shrimp, fish, squid, lotus root, and pumpkin. The batter was crispy and very delicious. It came with grated radish and tempura dipping sauce, but there was also salt on the table, so you can enjoy it with salt too. The spicy cod roe was all-you-can-eat and consistently delicious. I could probably eat another bowl of rice just with the spicy cod roe (laughs)

I had passed by this restaurant a few times and was curious about it. Today, I had the opportunity to have a free lunch, so I decided to go in. The restaurant was full, so I was seated at the counter. There were also some foreign customers. I had already decided on my order - the shrimp tempura rice bowl (900 yen before tax) with less rice. When the bowl arrived, it was simple with just the bowl and red miso on the side. I was a bit shocked when the bowl arrived because the size of the shrimp was very different from the sample outside. However, the lid on the bowl was convenient as I could temporarily set aside the tempura that was on top of the rice. The tempura consisted of one shrimp and other items like white fish, lotus root, pumpkin, squid, and egg. I rearranged the tempura to make it easier to eat, and the shrimp was fried until crispy, allowing me to eat it whole. The tempura sauce was also generously poured over the rice, making it easy to eat. Despite the shock of the shrimp size, I was able to enjoy the meal. Thank you for the meal.

Well, back to the lunch of that day in Naha. While on the way to Kansai Airport, let's have lunch around Namba. Considering that we will be having a lot of Okinawan soba and seafood later on, I asked my friend whether they prefer Western food or meat, but they weren't very enthusiastic about either option. After studying the floor map of Namba Walk on my smartphone, we decided on tempura. However, it wasn't on our way. We checked if there was any other chain restaurant nearby, and found one in Nannan Town. It was closer, so we headed there. Nannan Town seems to have turned into Namba Nannan without us realizing it. We had to wait for a table as it was lunchtime. We both ordered the tempura set with two prawns. My friend is not a fan of prawns, so they only ordered one. The tempura dipping sauce was a classic choice. The unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) was almost like cheating. We decided to have the rice with the mentaiko at the end to finish off the meal. It was a satisfying meal. The two ladies at the table next to us were chatting the whole time. We thought they might finish before us, but they left just a bit earlier. It's better to choose a quieter restaurant for conversations. The staff at the restaurant were great at clearing our plates promptly.

Today, I had an unexpected shopping experience that ended up taking longer than I thought. I decided to take a break and stopped by a restaurant called "天麩羅 えびのや" in NAMBAなんなん. I ordered the "Salmon and Seasonal Vegetable Tendon" which was a bit pricey at 1,300 yen, but I couldn't resist trying their limited autumn menu. The dish included fatty salmon, seasonal vegetables, and shrimp tempura, all beautifully presented with rich colors. The tempura was freshly fried and delicious, allowing me to savor the flavors and textures of each ingredient. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. As a bonus, the restaurant offers unlimited servings of Hakata Fukuiichi mentaiko, which I indulged in. However, I learned the importance of moderation as I found myself incredibly thirsty later in the day. It's a reminder to always strive for balance in everything we do.

I went to Whatnan Town for dinner at 19:20 because there was a ¥300-off coupon. Due to the impact of COVID-19, there is a request from Osaka Prefecture to close restaurants by 20:00. Therefore, the last entry time was 19:30. There were 3 customers at one table and 1 customer at another table when I arrived. I ordered an Ebinoya set meal with extra rice. When I placed my last order, I asked for extra grated daikon for the tempura. Unfortunately, they were out of 15-grain rice so I had to settle for white rice, which ended up being too much. I enjoyed plenty of mentaiko. Thank you!

Located in Nannan Town, this restaurant is operated by Fuji Food System, which also runs other brands such as "Maido Ookini Shokudo" and "Tsurumaru." I have dined at another location of their brand, "Ebinoya," before. The bright lighting and clean interior design make it welcoming for women and children. They have a performance where you can see tempura being fried in front of the store, which is nice. The menu consists of tendon series and tempura set meal series. I remember finding the sauce on the tendon too sweet at another Ebinoya location, so this time I opted for the tempura set meal with ten dashi. I ordered the Ebinoya set meal for 1080 yen, which included three shrimp and vegetables. Fuji Food System is known for providing complimentary mentaiko at the table, but the container at my table was empty. I informed the staff, and they promptly refilled it. The meal came with multigrain rice and red miso soup. The ten dashi was surprisingly rich in flavor. The tempura batter was to my liking. Considering the affordable price, I am satisfied with the meal. Bon appétit!

When you feel like eating mentaiko and plain white rice at a reasonable price, this is the place to go. You can also enjoy tempura at a reasonable price. However, my main goal is the all-you-can-eat mentaiko with a large portion of rice. The tempura was okay, mainly vegetables. Mentaiko really goes well with rice!! Thank you for the meal.

On November 10th, around 5:30 PM, I went to Ebisuya NAMBA Nannan store. After my part-time job ended early in the afternoon due to circumstances, I took a break at a net cafe in Namba and had dinner. I was torn between Ramen and finally decided to go to Ebisuya because I had always wanted to try their unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe). A foreigner served me. I was tempted by the tempura rice bowl, but I chose the tempura set meal (968 yen including tax). The unlimited items were only mentaiko and ginger. You can get extra rice for an additional fee. I chose white rice because that was the only option available, which I thought was better since I was there for the mentaiko. It arrived in about 10 minutes (first photo). The tempura included one shrimp, squid, white fish, shiitake mushroom, and lotus root, all freshly fried and delicious. The main dish, the mentaiko, was also very tasty. I limited myself to two servings considering my health. The ginger was also delicious. I changed the plate to a clean one (on the mentaiko side) for the next person. Thank you for the meal. As a side note, the second photo shows the main mentaiko (top left), ginger (top right), and the condiments at the bottom.

I wanted to eat tempura in Namba, so I went to Ebisuya in Namba. The set meals looked delicious, but I chose the autumn tendon with less rice. It had shrimp, salmon, white fish, seasonal vegetables, and a runny egg yolk on top. It was so delicious!

I came here for lunch when I was on a business trip in Osaka. It is located on the street of Sennichimae. It's a chain tempura restaurant that you often see in Aeon malls, with affordable prices. The mentaiko (spicy cod roe) is delicious and surprisingly goes well with tempura. I had the conger eel bowl, and I was surprised by its size and delicious taste.

I went out for drinks with friends for the first time this year, so we decided to have a New Year's party. We wandered around Nan'nan Town and found that Hatsukasumi was full with customers waiting outside. There was also a 2-person wait at Sakaba Okanaga. However, the tempura restaurant next door had plenty of space. We decided to try the tempura set with a bottle of Akahoshi beer. The tempura included shrimp, squid, white fish, lotus root, eggplant, and sweet potato. The taste was average, but it was freshly fried and served as a good snack. After finishing the tempura, we realized there were two extra bowls on the table. Inside were "mentaiko" and "burdock root and ginger namasu" filled to the brim. It seemed to be all-you-can-eat. We ordered more drinks and enjoyed the mentaiko and namasu. The complimentary mentaiko was surprisingly delicious, and the burdock root and ginger namasu was also tasty. It turned out to be a great value for the slightly tipsy set!

Life is not about how many times you succeed, but how many times you can rise up. These are the words of professional soccer player Kazuyoshi Miura. Unfortunately, Yokohama FC fell short in the J1 promotion playoffs, losing to Tokyo Verdy in stoppage time and missing out on their first J1 challenge in 12 years. The dream of seeing Miura in J1 has now faded. Today, I visited "Tempura Ebino-ya NAMBA Nannan Store" in Osaka. The restaurant opened on November 8th, and I was impressed by the clean tables and jazz music playing in the background. I ordered the Tempura Set Meal (950 yen) which included six types of tempura: shrimp, white fish, squid, pumpkin, lotus root, and shimeji mushrooms. The tempura was crispy and delicious, and the best part was the unlimited mentaiko (spicy cod roe) available for topping your rice. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Thank you for the feast. The path ahead requires diligence and perseverance, and as long as you do your best, you will have no regrets.

I went to see a movie in Namba with a friend, and we decided to have lunch at a nearby restaurant in the underground mall because my friend had horse racing in the morning and was running late. We quickly decided on Ebinoya because there was a new restaurant that we hadn't tried before. My friend ordered the Anago (conger eel) set meal, while I ordered the Anago Tendon (tempura rice bowl). The tempura was coated in a sweet sauce, but the rice was unevenly cooked. Compared to the egg tempura at Tenkin in Hamamatsu, the tempura was a bit overcooked and had too much batter. The buffet-style mentaiko (spicy cod roe) and takana (pickled mustard greens) were good to eat on top of rice in a set meal, but it didn't work as well with the Tendon. Eating them together with the Tendon didn't quite hit the mark.
