The first visit to the restaurant had 1 table and 5-6 counter seats. The friendly owner was running the place alone. They usually serve lava grill, but on this day they ran out of lava plates, so they used charcoal grill instead. I decided to go with the chef's choice skewers, including heart, thigh, bonjiri, and neck. They were all served at a good pace and tasted delicious with just the right amount of salt. Perfect for pairing with drinks! In addition to skewers, they also had a few light appetizers. I chose the myoga, okra, and ginger ponzu salad, which had a nice crunchy texture from the fresh okra. Although the restaurant may seem a bit intimidating for first-timers, the yakitori is delicious and the owner is friendly. A great place! Will definitely go back again. Perfect for small groups. Thank you for the meal!

I had been curious about this place for a while but never got around to going because the exterior and menu seemed a bit confusing. A friend recommended it to me online. The place is small and stylish, with a focus on drinks and Japanese sake. I tried a selection of sake and grilled dried fish on a mini charcoal grill, which was really good. The owner cooks alone so there may be a bit of a wait. It could be a good second stop for the night. I forgot to take photos for most of the dishes that day. The yakitori was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I found a sign that said "Lunch" and "Takeout" on my way to the supermarket☆ The charcoal-grilled skewers at "Sumibi Yaki Tori Yoshikawa" are delicious. It's near Takatsuki Hankyu, close to the Torii gate of Tenjin. This time, I used takeout. - Karaage Bento ¥600 I forgot to confirm if it's only karaage or if it changes daily. The amount of rice is sufficient. It's not soggy and tastes good. The karaage is lightly seasoned and crispy. It also comes with tsukune, sweet tamagoyaki, pickles, and potato salad. "Yakitori Yoshikawa" opened on June 1st, 2018, and I had been wanting to try it for a while. However, I couldn't get in due to it being a regular holiday or the seats being full. This time, I aimed to go right after the opening time (6:00 pm) and was able to get in smoothly. The restaurant is located about a 3-minute walk from JR Takatsuki Station, next to Echigo-ya Ramen. You can't see inside from the outside, so it might be a bit intimidating for first-timers. The restaurant mainly has counter seats, with only one table that can seat 4-6 people. The side menu is limited, with a focus on yakitori. - Kyoto Duck Breast (280 yen): A special menu item with delicious fatty duck meat. - Grilled Rice Ball on Skewer (180 yen): Grilled with a slightly sweet soy sauce, it has a nice crunch. - Grilled Firefly Squid (price not mentioned): Grilled over charcoal and served with optional mayonnaise, a recommended dish. - Chicken Tenderloin with Yuzu Pepper (price not mentioned): The yuzu pepper adds a nice touch to the lightly salted tenderloin. - Chicken Liver (price not mentioned): A satisfyingly large piece of liver. - Chicken Cartilage (price not mentioned): A chewy and flavorful skewer. - Okra and Myoga Salad with Ponzu Sauce (price not mentioned): Refreshing and delicious. - Lemon Sour (350 yen): A generous size with extra lemon slices. The grilled stingray fin is amazingly delicious. It's so thick that you've probably never seen it cooked this way before. The yakitori is also delicious and cheap, around 140 yen per skewer (as of November 16, 2018). The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy a meal.

The chicken was delicious. The variety was limited, so it's good for those who just want to drink. There were only 4 pieces of potato fries, so I wish I could have been a little more full.

I visited a new yakitori restaurant in Takatsuki City. I didn't have much time, so it turned into a quick drink. This time, I mainly had chicken liver sashimi! I also tried the rare spleen and shirako. It was delicious. I hope to come back when I have more time. Thank you for the meal!

Visit on June 1, 2018, post on June 4, 2018 (all information is from the visit date) (all prices include tax) - I stopped by for a quick solo drink in the evening. This time, I visited a yakitori restaurant that opened on June 1st. The location is across from Seibu Takatsuki, near the torii gate of Tenjin. It used to be Dragon Curry. The interior is a bit hard to see from the outside, so it takes a bit of courage to enter. But once inside, there are about 5 counter seats and 1 table for 6 people in a cozy space with a warm wooden interior. The menu cover is also wooden. The opening hours are 5-11 pm (last order at 10:30 pm) and closed on Sundays. There are English translations as well. Even the condiment containers on the table have English labels, perhaps targeting inbound tourists? You can order yakitori by the piece, with 16 varieties ranging from ¥140 to ¥180. Limited quantity Matsukaze Jidori sashimi is available in 5 varieties for ¥580-¥780. Matsukaze Jidori is a chicken breed from Hyogo Prefecture, raised without antibiotics and post-harvest feed, resulting in a very elastic and rich meat texture. It has a chewy texture, overflowing with sweet and juicy meat juice. The flavor, richness, and aroma are exceptional. The "tipsy set" for ¥980 is a good deal. - Draft Sapporo Black Label beer for ¥480 - Appetizer: boiled komatsuna and thin fried tofu for ¥200 - Limited quantity Jidori sashimi platter for ¥780 (liver, heart, spleen) Spleen is a rare and precious part, with a soft texture, mild taste, and a hint of sweetness. - Imo Shochu "Ikenotsuru" with water for ¥450, a 2-year aged shochu made with black koji rice from Kagoshima. It has a strong and dry taste, followed by a sweet and mellow flavor with a sharp finish. - Shirako sashimi for ¥580, chicken sperm sac, not as sticky as fish sperm sac. - Whale bacon salad for ¥350 - Tohoku Izumi Junmai Ginjo "Miyamanishiki" 120ml for ¥480, a popular sake from Takahashi Sake Brewery in Akumi, Yusa Town, Yamagata Prefecture. It is made with Miyamanishiki rice polished to 50%. It has a citrus-like aroma, a gentle and soft taste, and a refreshing acidity and slight bitterness in the finish. It pairs well with any meal and can be enjoyed chilled, at room temperature, or warm. It is known as a masterpiece of sake made with Miyamanishiki rice. - Assorted 5 skewers for ¥650 (thigh, green onion, heart, neck, tail). Each skewer is generously sized, offering great value. - Toyononami Special Junmai "Aromatic Dry" 120ml for ¥480
