I chose this place as the starting point for my Shiretoko sightseeing. The price is a bit high, over 10,000 yen with a large communal bath and breakfast included, but it's understandable given the location. The outdoor hot spring bath is very nice. Breakfast is a buffet with rice, plenty of milk from Toyotomi-cho, and Katsugen. I didn't know that Shari-cho has the highest salmon landing in Japan, so salmon dishes are always served and they are delicious. The salmon dishes were especially tasty. The second day, there was salmon zangi, which was also delicious. There were also squid shiokara, marinated fish, and even the yakisoba turned into Napolitan. Although there were no surprises like in other regions of Hokkaido, I was able to enjoy the salmon. The infection prevention gloves were strictly enforced. Thank you for the meal.

This is a review of the breakfast buffet at Route Inn. There is nothing particularly noteworthy about the food, but there are few other options for breakfast in the area, so this is pretty much your only choice. However, the natural hot spring at this inn is excellent in terms of temperature and quality. The room quality is also up to Route Inn's standards. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience considering the price.

This is a business hotel in Sasaguri Town, serving breakfast. The hotel itself has hot springs and the rooms are clean. The breakfast venue is called Hanachaya on the first floor. It was crowded around 8 o'clock, but there were still empty seats. I have stayed here 3-4 times, so I knew what to expect in terms of the food. It's not bad, but I wouldn't stay here just for the breakfast. They had grilled fish, sausages, fried foods, dumplings, meatballs, scrambled eggs, omelette, tofu, and various salads. They also had udon. Considering the price, I think they are doing a good job. It wasn't surprising, but it was a tasty breakfast.

In the breakfast venue of the hotel in front of Shiretoko Shari Station, there is a place called Hanachaya. Breakfast costs 1000 yen. It is a buffet style, but there are more dishes compared to the hotel in the same group in Kitami. I happily filled my plate with fried yam, fried scallops, sweet and sour pork, ham, steamed local vegetables with butter, homemade tofu, Sanuki udon, miso soup, natto, and rice. I particularly like the homemade tofu and Sanuki udon. The staff and front desk personnel are friendly, but it's puzzling that Ponta points are not given for breakfast.

I stayed at a hotel in the mountains and left the reservation to them, which turned out to be "Hotel Grantia." They used to say "use local services as much as possible" but they don't say it much anymore. The highlight here is the hot spring bath nearby, which has a similar reddish-brown color to the water. The bath is great, and there is even an outdoor bath. Breakfast is included, and the food selection is much better than other hotels in the area. Today, there was no natto, but I enjoyed the sliced ham dipped in soy sauce and rolled with rice. There was no rice today, but there were sausages. Overall, I had a satisfying breakfast and now it's time to check out. The service at Hotel Grantia was excellent as always.

I think the variety and quality of the food at Route Inn are better compared to other stores. They offer a free breakfast with such a rich lineup, so I have no complaints!

This is my third time posting, but I am posting for the first time. The room is spacious for a business hotel, and there is a hot spring. The breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of items such as grilled fish, shumai, pumpkin croquette, tamagoyaki, scrambled eggs, kinpira, ham, potato salad, cabbage rolls, squid salted guts, nori tsukudani, potato processed products, natto, grilled seaweed, rice, miso soup, cup soup, milk, coffee, etc. You can enjoy a satisfying breakfast. The restaurant is a bit small and crowded in the morning, but you can also take coffee made from the coffee machine back to your room later. It's satisfying.

I had some business to attend to in Shari, so I drove there from Sapporo in about 4 and a half hours, speeding on the highway. Along the way, I encountered 6 foxes, 2 deer... but luckily did not come across any bears. It was quite exciting to see these wild creatures that you don't often encounter. It's cold here! I need to warm up in the hot springs soon! This inn is actually my second time visiting. The hot springs have a nice quality, with a color like oolong tea. Last time I came, it was a private rental, so I could relax freely. However, it's a bit disappointing that you can't bathe all night. I had breakfast on the same floor as the hot spring, and someone I didn't want to see was there. I quickly finished my meal and left when the person started talking to me. I love milk, natto, scrambled eggs, macaroni salad, sliced ham, hijiki simmered in soy sauce, and tomato sauce dish. I was full and had to figure out how to leave without encountering the person I tried to avoid.

In July 2012, I stayed at Hotel Gran Terrace Shiretoko Shari Ekimae. Despite being a business hotel, it has a large communal bath and open-air bath on the 1st floor provided by Shiretoko natural hot spring. Additionally, there is a foot bath facility on the premises. This time, I booked a plan that includes breakfast, and I noticed a notice in the elevator stating that the breakfast buffet is priced at 500 yen! This is quite a reasonable price compared to other business hotels. I usually don't expect much from business hotel breakfast buffets as they are all similar, but trying it out knowing the price of 500 yen, I thought the cost performance was quite good. One dish that left an impression on me was the "stir-fried eggplant and minced meat." It was surprisingly spicy and delicious for a business breakfast buffet! I ended up going back for seconds. This hotel is part of the major business hotel chain, Route Inn Hotels, so payment with WAON is also possible. It is conveniently located right near Shiretoko Shari Station, and I noticed many people getting off at the station heading towards this hotel at night. It seems the hotel opened in 2007, so it has only been around for 5 years. And the highlight is undoubtedly the open-air bath of the Shiretoko natural hot spring!

The breakfast is a buffet style, and for only 500 yen, I wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. There were over 10 dishes to choose from, including the usual tamagoyaki and salmon for Japanese style, as well as salads, ham, and bread for a Western twist. I filled up on rice and bread as usual, and left satisfied. The hot spring water was a light brown color and felt nice and soothing. Unfortunately, the outdoor bath was closed for maintenance. Overall, it was a good experience!

During the peak of the Obon season, all hotels were fully booked. We stayed here on August 12th and had breakfast on the 13th. The buffet was crowded from the morning, with about 30 people lining up because there were not enough tables to place trays on. The system capacity seemed inadequate. The food was average, but the rice was not good. However, there were a decent variety of dishes (both Western and Japanese), which made it somewhat better. The front desk staff at the hotel were excellent, which made the overall experience worthwhile.

It was similar to a typical business hotel. The restaurant opens at 6:30 in the morning, but it was already full by that time. Most of the guests seemed to be tourists with plans for the day. They offered a good variety of Japanese and Western dishes, and I enjoyed my meal. I would like to visit again if I have the chance. It was delicious.
