The roadside station's shop is not very big, but it has a restaurant and information center inside. I bought Edamame Daifuku at the shop in Naka-Satsunai. The daifuku has edamame in the dough, and the sweet red bean paste inside tastes delicious. The staff at the shop were very kind. Thank you for the meal.

At a slightly crowded shop in the prefabricated building at Nakasatsunai Michi no Eki, they sell a dish called "Inaka Dori," which is fried chicken. If you see a line, you have to buy it. It comes with 6 bone-in fried chicken pieces. It has a KFC-like smell, with less meat inside than KFC, but the crispy skin is delicious. I'm not good at eating cleanly around bones, so I prefer boneless fried chicken.

July 2018. Day 3 of the trip to Hokkaido. After leaving Obihiro in the morning, we stopped by "Omoiyari Farm" in Nakasatsunai Village, Kasai District, and then arrived at the Michi-no-Eki "Nakasatsunai". This Michi-no-Eki seems to be in the eastern part of Hokkaido. It consists of a restaurant called "Weathercock Cafe", Hanamizuyama (takeout corner), and a local products sales area (inside Hanamizuyama). This time, I found "Edamame Daifuku" at the local products sales area, so I bought it. It seems to be a specialty of Nakasatsunai, made with a sweet, mildly sweet red bean paste using Tokachi red beans, and edamame from Nakasatsunai mixed with mochi made from Hokkaido rice. I bought one for 130 yen and tried it immediately. Oh! You can clearly taste the edamame! The mochi and red bean paste are of course delicious. Personally, I felt like trying just the edamame mochi without the red bean paste in an isobe-yaki style. The ingredients are so good that I think it will be delicious no matter how you eat it. Next, I bought a fruit corn that can be eaten raw, which was being sold outdoors (200 yen each). This is also incredibly delicious. Hokkaido is truly appealing to me, as corn is my favorite food in the world (even though I'm not a fan of the cold). I wanted to eat 3-4 of them, but I resisted because I still have more food to try on this food tour. Thank you for the meal!

I bought some items such as Tokachi Raklette cheese and salmon flakes at Tokachi Raklette, a roadside station in Nakasatsunai Village, Hokkaido. It is located near the Nakasatsunai Interchange on the Obihiro-Hiroo Expressway. In addition to the roadside station, there are also museums and various shops and buildings in the area. The local products they offer are abundant. Vegetables and other agricultural products were sold in one building, while souvenirs were sold in another. The salmon flakes had a spicy flavor of chili oil, and the Tokachi Obihiro ramen had thin straight noodles with a crab salt flavor. I was expecting a normal salt flavor, but I had overlooked the word "crab." It was a Hokkaido-style salt ramen with a crab flavor. However, the bag noodles with dry straight noodles were good. The raclette cheese was rich and flavorful.

I stopped by during the May stamp rally in 2017. It was surprisingly cold for May! The temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius and it was raining on and off. I arrived here from Obihiro on a high-standard road (free highway). I was looking for some local specialty products and found edamame daifuku at the checkout counter. It was 130 yen each so I bought one. The cashier told me to eat it today, but I saved it for later as I had a lunch planned. When I finally tried it at home, I found out that it was a daifuku made with edamame in the mochi part, and the sweetness was just right. It would have been even better if the filling was also made with edamame paste. Thank you for the meal.

There are a variety of chicken products available at Nakasatsunai! They also offer products from Tokachi Nofuromaju and Hanabatake Farm. When I visited on my way from Obihiro to Nakasatsunai, I found the roadside station to have the main building, an old farmhouse, a bean museum, a local product store, and specialty shops selling yakitori and Nakasatsunai's rural chicken Karaage. The main building of the roadside station offers a wide variety of Nakasatsunai Village information and local specialty products. They have Nakasatsunai Ramen, Udon, and Soba for 350 yen each, Peony Soba for 360 yen, handmade Senbei for 400 yen, Nagai Half-cooked Udon and Soba for 648 yen, 1 kg of soba flour for 1300 yen, various Tokachi Nofuromaju products, various Hanabatake Farm products, and various retort curries such as Hell, Whey Pork, Scallop, Nakasatsunai rural chicken, and Tokachi Shimizu Beef. In addition, they have a wide range of frozen processed products including Genghis Khan, Roast Beef, and rural chicken related products. The egg vending machine and the Karaage from the specialty store at the adjacent direct sales office are also popular. I arrived at the Michisato-nai Michi no Eki ~ Country Plaza. It's about 190 kilometers from Kitami. It's been a while since I last came here. I used the high-standard road for the first time and it's so fast! It's just a quick drive from Nishi-Obihiro to Michisato-nai. Now, about this roadside station. Even though Golden Week is over, there are still a lot of tourists here. Local products are lined up. Among them, I found something new! Cup noodles. There are ramen, soba, and udon. They are limited to Michisato-nai Michi no Eki. All three types use local chicken and burdock from Michisato-nai. Although they are a bit pricey at ¥350 per cup, I ended up buying a lot of them!

I arrived at Nakasatsu, so let's stop by the popular Michi-no-Eki (roadside station). As I was looking around the store, I noticed "Nagaiki Udon" and "Nagaiki Soba" in the refrigerated case. My wife mentioned, "They said on TV that the red bean mochi here is delicious." I couldn't possibly feed that to my 122-year-old grandma. "It's right there, isn't it?" It's displayed at the register. "Can I just get one?" "Sure, would you like to eat it now?" They're so simple! They don't say, "Would you like to partake?" I replied without caring about the other person's intentions, "No, I won't eat it." "Okay, would you like it frozen then? They come frozen here." So my answer was not wrong after all. "Phew, that's a relief." But it didn't look frozen at all. My wife tapped the hard part of the mochi with the red bean mochi, making a "konkon" sound, amusing the customers. When I got home and took it out, it had thawed. It had become soft. I was worried it might be watery because it was frozen, but that was completely unfounded. Strangely, it tasted like regular black bean mochi. I tried it. It's indeed soft. The mochi is soft. It's actually a bit too soft, isn't it? It's more like gyuhi than mochi. The red bean paste is grainy, so no complaints there. I heard it had a good reputation, but it's not that great, is it?

On the way to the garden after renting a car, I stopped by a roadside station. According to my friend, the yakitori here is delicious. There were two places serving chicken dishes, so I asked the staff at the roadside station. They said that both places are good, but if you want something light and easy, try Salvatore's yakitori. I went there right away, and guess what! They grilled the yakitori after I ordered! It was delicious yakitori without any unpleasant smell. It was affordable and tasty, the gourmet scene is really thriving here!

"Nakasatsunai Michi-no-Eki" is a roadside station that sells specialty grains such as beans and also offers food like Zangi made with local chicken meat. There is also a traditional soba restaurant called Soba Hanahana on the premises, making it a favorite roadside station for grain enthusiasts like myself, alongside Niseko Michi-no-Eki. It is a popular roadside station, often crowded on weekends making it difficult to find parking. I visited after trying edamame soft serve nearby. While wandering around, I came across delicious-looking corn for sale. I remembered the reviews of this roadside station and couldn't resist buying the corn as I love it. I also wanted to try something I had seen in Smile's review - taking a similar photo. I purchased the corn and headed back to the car to eat it since it was raining. As I was about to take a photo, my iPhone slipped from my hand and fell on the asphalt with a crash. My iPhone was damaged, with the glass cracked on the back side. Luckily, I had a screen protector on and it still worked fine, but I was a bit shocked. Despite the mishap, the corn I ate in the car was sweet and delicious. However, my attempt at copying a photo idea ended in failure, and the image I took was not good. Overall, I recommend this roadside station, but be careful not to make the same mistake I did.

When I visited Nakasatsunai, I stopped by a roadside station. There was a bean museum called "Beans Mansion," which I love because beans are grown abundantly in the Tokachi Plain. There were also a soba shop, Tokachi Field Fromage, a curry shop, and many other small shops in this large roadside station. Inside and outside the local product store where vegetables and beans from the surrounding area are sold, there was a corn shop and a fried chicken shop (using Nakasatsunai local chicken) that had long lines. The parking lot was quite large, but it was so crowded that there was a wait for parking spaces. There happened to be a "Flower Festa" event going on, where flower pots and plants were being sold, adding to the festive atmosphere. I bought some freshly picked corn here. The corn was crunchy and delicious, with plump kernels. I love the early season corn with its thin skin and juicy texture. The freshly picked corn is sweet and tasty. It cost 250 yen per ear. This roadside station, bustling with various shops, is a fun place to visit, not only for rest stops but also as a tourist spot.

There is a beautiful restaurant attached to this roadside station, and they have a variety of Tokachi souvenirs on display. The hyotan gourd is particularly famous. They also have a vending machine for Naka-Satsunai eggs, gelato, fried chicken, edamame soft serve, and more. The gelato costs 340 yen for a double scoop, but you can get a 20 yen discount with a JAF card or BUNBUN Club card. Everything here is delicious, especially the fried chicken which is served hot and seasoned perfectly. It's rare to find a roadside station where everything is so tasty. Naka-Satsunai is truly wonderful!

I came to a Michitane Michi-no-Eki and found something delicious to buy! Edamame Daifuku (130 yen) is a green mochi with edamame inside, just like the name suggests! It's a perfect size for a souvenir from a tourist spot. Black Bean Daifuku (130 yen) is filled with plenty of black beans and has a chewy texture. Delicious!

Well, well, it's time for the last indulgence for health reasons. I'm finishing with a half-fried dish. I cooked it in the Helio when I got home! It's wild and a bit hard to eat compared to Narutonari-san. The crispy skin is better at Narutonari-san. Still, with a simple salty flavor, it's a big discovery to be this delicious. But I can't eat much more now (sad). So, thank you for reading my humble reviews so far. I think the pace of reviews will slow down a lot in the future, but I will continue little by little.

When it gets hot, the symptoms worsen, it is a designated rare disease by the government. Unfortunately, there is no medication that suits me yet. This review is based on my condition and consultation. Likes and comments may be delayed, thank you for your understanding. In November 2019, HTB is a television broadcasting station in Hokkaido. They air programs like "Doctor X," "Wednesday Downtown," and "Aibou." HTB organized an event called the HTB Genesis Market "Made in Tokachi." The event took place at the "Onchan Terrace" in the Sapporo Genesis Square where the HTB headquarters are located, starting at 10 am. When I arrived at the venue, there were already dozens of people lined up. The "Made in Tokachi" event featured cooperatives and related companies from the Tokachi region. At the corner for "Nakasatsunai Village," they were selling products such as "Edamame Shochu," "Kokuwa Wine," and "Freeze-Dried Edamame." I tried the "Freeze-Dried Edamame" from the "Honbetsu Town Cooperative." I ended up buying two bags of "Edamame Okaki." The "Edamame Okaki" from the Nakasatsunai Village Cooperative uses locally grown edamame from Nakasatsunai Village. It has a light flavor and a good edamame aroma. It has a moderate saltiness and is easy to eat. Priced at 280 yen for 150g. The "Edamame Okaki" is a high-quality snack that doesn't feel like a cooperative product. It has a sophisticated taste that makes you want more. Personally, I find it comparable to the "Kaitaku Okaki" from Hokkaro. It's delicious. Events like this are really helpful. Even in Sapporo, you can feel like you're on a mini trip to Nakasatsunai Village in eastern Hokkaido, which is about 220 km away. It's like a mini vacation. I wonder which town in Tokachi I should visit next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.
