Alicia's Food Log: We're heading out of the country. It's the peak season at the end of the year, so check-in took a while. We thought we could grab a quick and tasty meal here, but there's a huge line... People from various countries are waiting. We decided on beef bowl and beef sukiyaki set, but the line is super long since it's almost lunchtime. Some people are giving up. Now it's time to eat! The beef bowl has a reliable taste. The beef sukiyaki has plenty of vegetables and well-cooked tofu. Hmm, we made the right choice. This taste before leaving Japanese cuisine for 10 days. I'd like to use this place again before going abroad. See you later.

Upon arriving at Fukuoka Airport International Terminal in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, for my overseas trip, I headed to the arrival lobby on the 1st floor to pick up my reserved international WiFi rental. However, since it was still before the 8:00 am opening time, I decided to have breakfast first. I wandered around the arrival lobby and came across a Yoshinoya restaurant that wasn't there during my trip last December. I ordered the "Ham and Egg Beef Small Bowl Set (Single) for 490 yen" at the counter and then sat at a table with pre-set chopsticks and other utensils, holding a self-service water cup. About 4 minutes later, my breakfast set arrived, consisting of rice, a hot mini frying pan with corn, shredded cabbage, ham and egg, a small bowl of beef, miso soup, seasoned seaweed, and mayonnaise. I drizzled mayonnaise on the cabbage, poured soy sauce on the ham and egg, and started my meal with the miso soup. The ham and egg set was delicious, especially when I mixed the runny egg yolk with the ham, cabbage, and corn. After enjoying the meal, I made a mini rice ball with seasoned seaweed, topped the rice with the beef, and had a mini beef bowl. Then, I placed the leftover egg on the rice for a makeshift Tamago Kake Gohan (egg over rice) and savored the changing flavors of the rice dish. It was a delightful dining experience at Yoshinoya.

Yoshinoya opened on the first floor of Fukuoka Airport International Terminal. I went to pick up a friend who came to Japan for the Hakata Dontaku festival at the international terminal of Fukuoka Airport. While waiting, we decided to have breakfast at the newly opened Yoshinoya next to the arrival gate. The restaurant utilized the open space cleverly and had a unique layout for a Yoshinoya. I ordered the Kyushu limited menu, the Aged Cod Roe Set for 460 yen, and added the Shirasu Oroshi (dried baby sardines with grated daikon) for 170 yen. The total came to 630 yen. The additional Shirasu Oroshi was served in separate containers along with grated daikon. The meal also came with pickled vegetables next to the miso soup with seaweed. The cod roe was a Kyushu limited product collaborated with "Yamaya." Seasoned seaweed, essential for breakfast, was also included on the side. I enjoyed the cod roe by putting it directly on the rice. The restaurant is located on the first floor of Fukuoka Airport International Terminal.
