I have arrived at the only village in Osaka, Chihaya Akasaka Village. This time, we decided to catch fish in Chihaya River, a fishing spot that has caught our attention for a while, and eat them. The river is clean and divided into sections such as "weight fishing area," "catch and release area," "group fishing area," and "lure/fly fishing area." The fee is 220 yen per 100g, but don't worry, the fish are not too big, and the charges are reasonable. The fishing areas are well-organized, and the fish are released based on their size, so you can enjoy fishing without any worries. The weight fishing area is filled with a large number of fish, and you must buy all the fish you catch. Fishing rod rental is 200 yen per rod, and bait is also included. The fish bite quickly, so you can reuse the bait. I tried to catch a big fish but ended up with smaller ones. After fishing, we visited a restaurant to have our fish cooked. The price for 2 trout and cooking was reasonable. The restaurant offers not only cooked fish but also set meals. I ordered the "Arai Set Meal" which included trout sashimi, simmered vegetables, sweetened trout, konjac sashimi, soup, and rice for 1000 yen. The trout sashimi was light and delicious. My wife's catch was fried, and mine was grilled. The fish was soft and tasty. The parking lot can accommodate 150 cars but is narrow and on a slope, so be careful when parking. Overall, it is a fun place to visit with your family.
