I came to the popular izakaya Frenchman located in Namba Walk. Frenchman, which is rapidly growing, has also appeared in Namba Walk. Like other Frenchman locations, you can enjoy bistro cuisine casually at the counter. You order from the menu by scanning the QR code with your smartphone. I had a highball. I tried the carrot rapé, which had no hint of the typical raw carrot smell. The anchovy cabbage was made with purple cabbage, giving it a vibrant purple color that you can't find in regular cabbage. The anchovy seasoning was refreshing. I had a lemon sour. The roasted onion with meat miso sauce was delicious, with the tender roasted onions perfectly coated in the meat miso sauce. It was a Sunday, but I was able to get a table without waiting since it was still a bit early for dinner. I ordered the famous foie gras and roast beef, boiled egg tempura, grilled sea urchin rice ball, and sparkling wine. The flavors were rich overall, making it a bit hard to fully enjoy the taste of the ingredients, but I thought it paired well with the alcohol. It's really nice to be able to enjoy French cuisine with chopsticks at such a reasonable price. I would like to try visiting another branch of this restaurant as well.

In Nihonbashi, we went on a bar hopping adventure at "Taishu Sakaba Frenchman Namba Walk Store". We arrived after happy hour, but managed to find seats even though about 80% of the tables were taken. We ordered a bottle of beer (605 yen tax included), a mango sour cocktail (638 yen tax included), homemade shoulder ham (638 yen tax included) which was moist and fatty, and came with pickled cabbage. We also had cheese-covered potato fries (638 yen tax included) which were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with a rich potato flavor. Overall, the food was delicious and we had a great time!

I went to Frenchman at Namba Walk. Unlike other stores that always have long lines, this place is spacious with many seats, including both counter and table seats, so I could get in without waiting! The pizza was delicious and I was satisfied.

The popular French restaurant from Umeda station has opened in Namba Walk! It seems to be already a hit, as we had to wait for about 10 minutes outside the restaurant. We were seated at a table and started with some wine: Chardonnay, Shiraz, and some red blends. The wines were all delicious and reasonably priced. We also tried various dishes like scallop chawanmushi, carrot rapé, salted tomatoes, homemade honey nuts, dried fruits with mentaiko cream cheese, and a special foie gras and steak dish exclusive to the Namba location. The food was all tasty, especially the foie gras and steak with truffle sauce. The restaurant also offers happy hour discounts on drinks until 5 pm. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we might come back again.

I ordered 1) Vegetable spring rolls (308 yen) 2) Anchovy cabbage (220 yen) 3) Salted tomato (330 yen) 4) Garlic marinated salmon roe (462 yen), which had a perfect oily marinade with a strong garlic flavor. It was great with drinks and at a fantastic price. 5) Pork belly and zucchini (330 yen) had a delicious cumin spice and the flavor of zucchini went well with wine. 6) Foie gras and steak (1738 yen) was surprisingly affordable, with a generous serving of foie gras and perfectly cooked steak that melted in the mouth. It paired well with red wine. The delicious food and affordable wine made me understand why this place is so popular. I will definitely go back again.

On this day, we went to the second bar for lunch drinks. They had a happy hour with a 20% discount on bottle wine. Unlike the bar in Kyoto, there was no all-you-can-drink option here. The dishes were small and reasonably priced, allowing us to try a variety of items, which was very enjoyable. Since it was our second stop (the first was Sashisusan), we weren't very hungry and didn't order much, which was a shame. The dishes had rich and flavorful seasoning, which went well with the wine. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn't very effective, making it uncomfortably warm. I wanted to try the Namba store's foie gras steak, but I'll save that for next time. I was envious of the guy next to us who was enjoying it all by himself. To finish off, we tried the cheese pasta recommended by my friend, and it was indeed delicious – even richer and tastier than expected. I wish they had served it with some baguette. After having lunch at a spice curry restaurant in Shinsaibashi and leaving around 14:30, I had some time to kill before the 19:30 kickoff. I decided to explore the shopping streets, look for cooling items for the game at a drugstore, and eventually made my way to Namba. The heat above ground was unbearable, so I descended to Namba Walk and wandered around Nihonbashi. I stumbled upon a charming French bistro with a counter, perfect for solo dining. I waited with a couple in line and got seated in about 10 minutes. I started with a cold beer to cool off, taking advantage of the happy hour deal at 290 yen. I ordered anchovy cabbage, creative skewers, egg flan, prosciutto, and salami. I wanted wine, but I resisted as I had the game to attend. The bill was surprisingly under 3000 yen. It was a great pick-me-up before the test match. However, I still had 3 hours until kickoff. I apologize for napping at the Nihonbashi station platform in my red and white Japan jersey.

Although it's not a French restaurant, I decided to give it a try. It was a hot day, so I ordered two beers and one highball. For food, I tried the restaurant's specialty foie gras and steak. The dishes were delicious, but I don't remember much about them. I wanted to try more dishes, but I had to stop there for the day. I entered the restaurant around 4:20 PM, so I was able to take advantage of their happy hour prices, making the total bill 2520 yen. The staff at the restaurant were friendly, and overall, I think it's a good place to dine.

I went for a daytime drink. I was there recently, but I wonder if it's usually crowded? Happy hour was great. Even though it was lunchtime, I drank a lot. Every dish was so delicious. Amazing! There were no disappointments. The satisfaction level of the Rossini was high. There are still more dishes I want to try, so I want to come back again.
