くるめカササギ
I discovered this restaurant thanks to a recommendation from Mairevi-san. Although I must have passed by it many times before and maybe even seen the sign, I had never noticed it. The restaurant is located on the first floor of a building, with each tenant having their own parking space in front of their store. It can be difficult to park even when there are empty spaces, so it might be best to visit when going to nearby places like a pachinko parlor, drugstore, or supermarket. The ordering process is similar to a drive-thru, with a menu posted on the wall and you pay in advance. I was excited to find out that the seafood bowl was only 500 yen. There were many other menu items that surprised me, and I ended up accidentally ordering three instead of two due to the fast-paced atmosphere. The toppings on the rice bowls were generous, especially the negitoro which pleased my family who loves it. The uni, ikura, hotate, kani, salmon bowl I tried had a decent amount of uni despite being a bit scarce, and the kani was real crab meat. The other two bowls I bought contained various toppings such as maguro, ika, salmon, negitoro, mentaiko, natto, and kazunoko, but I couldn't tell which was which. The rice in the bowls was warm, which I didn't particularly like as I prefer cold rice with sashimi on top. However, someone mentioned that putting the rice in the fridge made it taste fishy, so it's better to eat it right away. I initially thought it was a small independent restaurant, but it seems to be a chain with a website listing different menus for each location. A large serving of rice costs an additional 100 yen, which may be worth it considering the portion of toppings. Soy sauce and disposable chopsticks are provided, but you can always ask if you don't need them. I'm grateful for the recommendation and I had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant.
