I came to Tenjin on a weekend break. I won't be around Fukuoka City for a while due to a business trip starting tomorrow. So, I decided to do some shopping while I'm here. It was almost lunchtime, so I thought I'd have lunch before heading back home. I came to the food court in the basement of Tenjin Parco. It's been a while since I've been here. I'll take my time to look around. Some of the shops I used to visit are gone, but there are new ones too. I felt like having some fish, so I narrowed it down to 2 places, but the one that caught my eye the most was this place. It's a restaurant that serves charcoal-grilled dried fish set meals. I wanted to eat something healthy before my long business trip starting tomorrow. So, I decided on this place. I had some time before they opened, so I wandered around the department store basement to pass the time. I arrived at the restaurant right at the opening time around 11:00. The restaurant had both table and counter seats, and there were no customers inside. I was seated at an empty counter seat and checked the menu. I already had a rough idea of what I wanted to order from the menu at the entrance. The restaurant uses a touch panel ordering system, so I double-checked the menu using the touch panel placed on the counter. It seemed like all the fish set meals were dried fish. After looking through the menu, I found some other items that interested me, but I ended up ordering the popular No.2 Salmon Harasu Set Meal with extra rice. I had planned to eat lightly, but I couldn't resist the option of extra rice. The other place I was interested in offered unlimited rice refills. The restaurant had a beautiful interior with a retro Japanese feel. It seemed like the staff were all women. The food arrived in about 15 minutes. It seemed like the food was prepared after ordering, so it took a bit of time. The miso soup bowl was larger than the rice bowl. It had a traditional Japanese set meal look. I took a bite of the salmon harasu. It was delicious. The salmon had a fluffy texture, incredibly tender, and juicy. The amount of fat in the salmon was impressive. It was high-quality salmon fat. The seasoning was subtle, so I ended up adding soy sauce and grated daikon radish halfway through. The miso soup had plenty of wakame seaweed, fried tofu, and green onions. It was delicious. The miso was from Kyoto. I was happy with the large soup bowl. The pickles had a mild salty flavor. The delicious salmon made me eat the rice quickly. I wished I could have had another bowl if refills were free. I enjoyed eating it so much. I finished it in no time. Later, I found out on their website that this restaurant is a chain from Tokyo. I'm from the Kanto region, so maybe that's why it felt familiar to me. I didn't know about this place when I lived in Saitama. Next time I visit, I might try the Akauo Kasuzuke Set Meal, even though it's not in the top rankings. I'm also curious about the Pacific Saury Salt-Grilled Set Meal, the Mackerel Sushi-Style Pickled Set Meal, the Blackthroat Seaperch Saikyo-Miso Pickled Set Meal, and the Fatty Tuna Belly Set Meal. They also have meat set meals for those who don't like fish. It might be worth trying their aged brown rice too. This time, it cost me 979 yen. It's quite reasonable to have a set meal for under 1000 yen in the basement of Tenjin Parco. It was delicious. I'll definitely come back.
