For various reasons, I arrived at Fukuoka Tenjin Station around 7:20 AM. Since I had about an hour before work, I decided to visit Sanmark Fukuoka Tenjin Station store, which I couldn't find last time. The biggest feature of this place is its hard-to-find location. If you want to have breakfast, there is only one entrance. It's as difficult to navigate as a dungeon in a role-playing game. First, get off the Nishitetsu train and head towards the north ticket gate. After exiting the rightmost ticket gate, walk about 10 meters and you will see a downward escalator on your right. Ignore that and walk another 10 meters, and you will see an upward escalator on your right this time. The direction makes the wall a blind spot, so if you don't know, you might overlook it. This escalator is the only entrance to Sanmark. Take it down to the 3rd floor, which is also a rare floor, and you will arrive at "Sanmark Cafe Fukuoka Tenjin Station Store." The interior of the store is surprisingly spacious, with about 50 counter seats alone. There are also tables for two, but there are only a few customers. Despite being located in Fukuoka Tenjin, the No.1 location in Kyushu, the fact that there are only 3 reviews on Tabelog confirms the rarity of this store. Of course, as it is Sanmark, they also offer the "Daily Freshly Baked Bread Morning Set (340 yen, sold separately)." The bread on that day was ham and cheese croissant. I decided to try it. When I went to the register, freshly baked breads were being placed on the display one after another. So, I tried the freshly baked ham and cheese croissant. The crispy outer croissant dough had gooey cheese inside. It wasn't outstandingly delicious, but the advantage of being freshly baked was undeniable. I enjoyed it slowly with the set Americano coffee at a table for two. Since this is a self-service store, I returned the tray to the return slot after eating. I was a bit concerned about the bread crumbs scattered on some tables and the counter, but they were left as they were as there were blind spots from the register and no frequent patrols. Well, there were plenty of other empty seats, so if you don't mind, it's okay, I guess? The atmosphere rating would be a relaxed feeling of 3.7 stars minus the bread crumbs of 0.2 stars, so it's about 3.5 stars. I would like to dine in a clean and relaxed restaurant if possible. (laughs) Thank you for the meal.
