Maybe just having tsukemen isn't enough...feeling a sense of unease, I look around and see a takoyaki shop. I've heard of "Wanaka" before, but I've never tried it. Let's buy some. 8 takoyaki with sauce and green onions for 650 yen, and a ginger ale for 200 yen as a set drink. Wait, I thought people from Osaka couldn't believe in spending over 500 yen on takoyaki? Isn't this a popular place with long lines? Maybe it's mall prices? I enjoy the tsukemen first and then try a bite...hmm, the flavor seems weak? Eating it with the rich seafood tsukemen seems like a mistake, so I put it aside for now. Upon trying it again...it really is weak. First of all, the amount of sauce is extremely small. Some takoyaki even have no sauce on them. And the flavor of the batter is also weak...it's almost like it only tastes of bonito flakes and green onions. Could it be an issue with the operation? Perhaps the potential is not being fully realized. It's a disappointing encounter.

Osaka's takoyaki, Wanaka. It's surprising to find it at the Lala Port Fukuoka. I went to their main store in Sennichimae, next to Namba Grand Kagetsu, which is a Michelin-listed takoyaki shop. They have various flavors, but I recommend adding extra green onions and sauce. The takoyaki is served piping hot and incredibly soft. It's so soft that it's no longer in a perfect round shape. It was delicious!

I had a day where I really felt the impact of a 1,000 yen inflation on takoyaki. The dish is divided into four parts, with four different toppings. I wish the green onions were cut a little thinner. The taste is okay since it's freshly made, but paying 1,000 yen for takoyaki is a bit tough.

■This is the 15th store at Lalaport, and maybe the 7th food court I've visited. I've been to about half of the food places here. This one is a takoyaki shop that I've been looking forward to. It's not so common to find one, and it's nice that you can eat them freshly made. It's definitely different from ones that have been sitting out for a while. ■The takoyaki was cooked well and delicious, but it's a bit pricey. I visited around 6:00 PM and ordered 8 pieces of takoyaki. The staff was efficient, and I didn't have to wait long to make my purchase. The size of the octopus was normal. The takoyaki had a crispy exterior. However, I felt that there was a bit of a shortage of sauce and mayonnaise.

I ordered the Takosen for 200 yen because I had just eaten. It was delicious with a creamy texture. I also want to try the regular takoyaki next time to compare the flavors!

I ordered a variety pack that allows you to enjoy four different flavors, but in the end, the simple sauce was the most delicious. The other flavors didn't seem very elaborate, and some of them felt like they were just placed on top without much thought.

There is a famous takoyaki shop from Osaka that can also be found at Kin no Hana Mall in Fukuoka. I got some to take away to have for dinner with yakitori. You can choose from 4 flavors, and I chose the standard sauce flavor. They also gave me bonito flakes, seaweed, and mayonnaise to go with it. It was simply delicious. It cost 600 yen for 8 pieces. They also had assorted options, shrimp senbei, and beer available.
