Visited in February 2021. On a certain holiday, I went to Temma for lunch... Previously, when I thought of Temma, it was mostly about drinking in the morning or afternoon, or reviewing ramen for the finale, but on this day, I had my own car so no alcohol for me (x_x). Coming from the Tenroku area down the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, I noticed that quite a few shops had changed. The standing self-service udon shop that used to be Tridoll was now replaced by a similar self-service udon shop by Fuji Food, and the tea-steamed ramen shop that had eagerly opened was gone. In the place of a ramen shop, another ramen shop had opened, and there were many more changes. In the midst of all this, I arrived at this place! "Hanjo Soba" Well, it's basically a popular soba shop, but from its appearance, I had always thought it was a chain store or something. However, after reading reviews on Mairebi, it seems to be an independently owned shop. I was in the mood for soba, so after taking a photo of the exterior, I entered the store... Inside, there were table seats and a few counter seats, with the kitchen located in the back right. When I sat at the counter, I looked at the menu (@_@). There was a single sheet of paper with warm soba and cold soba written on it, with a small variety. Since it was a warm day, I ordered the cold soba verbally. It took about 5 minutes until it was served. - Cold Soba with Sudachi (large serving) The soba was served on a plate with slices of vinegar sudachi in a bowl of soup. The flask contained soba-yu. I ordered a large serving thinking it was only zaru soba, but it turned out to be quite a lot (laughs). I'll eat it before the soba gets soggy!! Slurp slurp (´~`) Mogu mogu The soup was slightly salty, but the refreshing acidity of the vinegar sudachi was very refreshing (´▽`). The soba was a pale, chewy, and elastic texture similar to Inaniwa udon. At first, I fully immersed the soba in the soup, but halfway through, I changed to semi-immersion, and I could faintly sense the aroma of the soba, which was quite delicious!! And it's super cold too ( ̄∇ ̄) Delicious! However... as I was eating and the amount didn't seem to decrease, a mature female employee said, "Try grating the sesame there and eat it..." Me, "Huh (@_@)?" Mature female employee, "Oh! It's not zaru, it's sudachi zaru. Sesame doesn't go well with sudachi, sorry about that." I see! If it were regular zaru soba, you could sprinkle this grated sesame on it for a delicious flavor change! While I was having this conversation, another mature male, who seemed to be the owner, said, "I'm sorry, sesame doesn't go well with sudachi." Me, "No, no, it's okay (^_^;) I'll try the regular zaru next time ( ̄∇ ̄) Hahaha" With such enjoyable conversations, I managed to finish!! In the past, I would have definitely ordered another plate of zaru soba (laughs). Despite its appearance as a chain store in the Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street, "Hanjo Soba" is a popular soba shop in Osaka with a sense of the city's heart. When the pandemic is over, I'd like to stop by as the finale of a drinking session in Temma. Thank you very much (≧▽≦)
