I thought it was a restaurant mainly focused on oysters, but it seemed like the oyster season had ended, which was disappointing. The tonpei-yaki was made with plenty of eggs and was fluffy and delicious. I would like to try visiting during the oyster season next time.

There is a restaurant in Nissei, Okayama Prefecture where you can enjoy Kakio-ko, a popular dish. They also offer steamed oysters, fried oysters, and other oyster dishes, making it a great place for oyster lovers. Although it's a bit away from Osaka Temmangu Station, there are many bars nearby, so you won't have trouble finding a place for a second round.

Long-awaited Kakio-ko!! Kakio-ko since Nissei!! I'm so excited!! So, there used to be a Kakio-ko shop in Shinti, but it disappeared for a while. I heard there was a Kakio-ko shop in the Nanmori area called Hinasen, so I bookmarked it. The shop has a retro atmosphere with oysters as the main menu, including hot pot and even Kakio-ko and oyster yakisoba! So, on this day, I enjoyed a variety of oyster dishes with old friends, including a delicious oyster hot pot. The miso flavor was perfect with the oysters. We also enjoyed fresh oysters and sake-steamed oysters. And the Kakio-ko for dessert was just as expected! The oysters were plump and delicious. Surprisingly, the Wagyu beef tataki was also amazing and I would definitely come back for it! I'm stuffed!

I went out with a friend because I was craving oysters! The raw oysters were so fresh and delicious♡ We had half salt and sauce for our oyster okonomiyaki! The oyster hot pot was miso-based and tasty(^^) I tried deep-fried oysters for the first time and they were really good♡ The last photo is of horse sashimi! It had been a while since I had it, but it was amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming, it was a great experience! ( ^ω^ )♪

First visit to Hinase, a restaurant in Minamimorimachi, on Friday, February 3, 2023. January is the best season for oysters. I was able to enjoy oysters from Nichinan in Minamimorimachi. Arrived earlier than the reservation time at 18:50. Entered the restaurant and seated. Left at 21:05. I had reserved a seat and a hot pot, but ended up ordering a la carte. Steamed oysters, fried oysters, raw oysters, oyster miso gratin, Kakioko (with sauce and rock salt), Oyster hot pot, Man'nenji (green pepper), beer, sake, etc. I was completely satisfied with the oyster feast. The steamed oysters were so delicious that I had a lot of refills. The miso-flavored oyster hot pot was also delicious. It cost 7700 yen per person, but considering how much we ate, it was worth it. The oyster hot pot is not on the menu, but I ordered it when asked during the reservation. Reservations are essential. Everyone had made reservations. Thank you for the meal. I would like to visit again when the season comes. #Hinase #Minamimorimachi

Get off at Minami-Morimachi Station on the Osaka Metro Tanimachi Line or Sakaisuji Line (or at Osaka Tenmangu Station on the JR Tozai Line), and head north along the Tenjinbashi Shopping Street, then turn right onto the road between Tenjinbashi-suji 2-chome and 3-chome. After about 3 minutes, you will find the restaurant Hinase on the north side. The entrance is decorated with many oyster shells, as Hinase is known for its oysters near the border of Hyogo and Okayama prefectures. During oyster season, the restaurant is always full and reservations are a must. However, I visited during the off-season. I ordered the specialty dish, Kakioko, which is topped with large local oysters. The Kakioko is a fusion of Hiroshima-style cabbage cutting and Kansai-style mixing of the batter, creating a unique and delicious dish that combines the best of both regions. There are two variations of Kakioko available: one with okonomiyaki-style sauce and mayonnaise, and the other with salt and green onions. I couldn't decide between the two, so I ordered a half-and-half serving. The dish contained seven large oysters and was truly satisfying. The sauce version had a rich and savory flavor, while the salt version highlighted the taste of the oysters. I recommend trying both. Although the oysters were frozen since it was off-season, they were still delicious. I look forward to revisiting during the peak season. I also created a video of the dishes I tried, which you can watch here: https://youtu.be/I52zd4rI49U

The oysters this season are big and satisfying to eat. I quickly got full and couldn't try everything. The fried oysters were huge! The salted oysters were refreshing and easy to eat. The grilled oysters were stable and I could eat a lot of them. The raw oysters, I'll just stick to one (laughs). The oyster miso was delicious. All of them were big and delicious. I enjoyed them all! The oyster hot pot that the person next to me was having looked good too, but it wasn't on the menu. Maybe it needs to be reserved in advance? I'll try ordering it next time when making a reservation. Thank you for the meal!

Before going to dance, I had dinner at a restaurant in Higashitenma. I saw the sign for "Hinase" and noticed oyster shells lined up outside, so I decided to go in. It seemed like a teppanyaki izakaya specializing in seafood delivered fresh from Nissei. I tried the Oyster Okonomiyaki for 1200 yen, with a half portion seasoned with rock salt and sauce. When I first saw the okonomiyaki, I thought it looked small, but it was actually delicious. The oysters were indeed tasty. The flavor of just the rock salt brought out the deliciousness of the oysters, so I recommend trying it that way. However, instead of okonomiyaki, I think the oysters would be better as butter-grilled. The okonomiyaki was small, so even for women, it might feel a bit unsatisfying and I finished it quickly. The staff were not very friendly. The oysters were delicious, but there was something lacking overall.

First time visiting this restaurant! I arrived after 6:30 PM and it was almost full already. I'm glad I made a reservation! The tonpei-yaki was thick and delicious! And the famous Kakioko had plenty of oysters, filling me up! It would have been even better if the broth had a bit more flavor!

When I arrived at the restaurant located east of the border between Tenjinbashi-suji 2-chome and 3-chome, I was told that there was a cancellation so I could still be seated on time. All the other seats were reserved, so it's recommended to make a reservation during peak season. I came here to eat "kakioko" so I also ordered some fresh oysters. They were big, not smelly, and had a nice milky flavor. After finishing the oysters, the kakioko arrived. It contained about seven large oysters. The sauce was delicious, but I tried the salt-flavored okonomiyaki for the first time. Usually, I eat okonomiyaki with sauce at home, but the salt flavor really brought out the taste of the oysters. I still prefer okonomiyaki with sauce though. It was a delicious meal!

Finally, the time has come for the annual oyster season, so I met up with my usual group of friends and visited this place after a long time. It was said that they had recently appeared on TV, so we couldn't get a reservation and had given up, but one of our regulars decided to call the next day for a reservation and luckily there was a cancellation for the day we were meeting! How lucky. We started with deep-fried oysters, which have an amazing broth. The fresh oysters are limited in number, so they may not be available every day. Unfortunately, the oyster steamed in sake that we were looking forward to was sold out! So disappointing. We then had crab cream croquettes, fried oysters, and other fried dishes, with a side of tonpeiyaki. Such a luxurious meal (laughs). The restaurant is kind enough to adjust the even-numbered dishes to match the number of people. Finally, the moment we've been waiting for, the oyster hot pot! Winter doesn't truly start until we've eaten this. With plenty of oysters, it's almost all oysters, it's the best.

I visited this place for the first time after seeing it on TV and wanting to try the Kakio-ko they were talking about. They have other menu items besides oysters, but the oysters were the highlight! The Kakio-ko was delicious and made me happy ❤️ Make sure to make a reservation as the seating is limited. I saw some customers at table seats enjoying hot pot dishes. I want to try other menu items next time! Thank you for the delicious meal.

"Hinase" is an izakaya where you can enjoy oysters directly delivered from Nissei, Okayama Prefecture. As oyster season is approaching, I went to try their popular dish, "Kakio-ko"! The restaurant is located near Osaka Tenmangu Shrine, in a residential area. It's a small and cozy place with about 5 table seats and 10 counter seats. We visited around 6:30 pm on a holiday, and it was a good decision to make a reservation as the place was always full and quite popular. We started with a Highball for 400 yen as usual. Since there were two of us, we ordered a variety of dishes. The "Shima Aji sashimi" for 850 yen was thickly sliced and fresh, although the portion was a bit small for the price. The "Steamed oysters" for 1,000 yen had small oysters with a rich flavor, but I think they might be better when they grow larger as the season progresses. The "Oyster fry" for 1,000 yen had small oysters but were crispy on the outside and juicy inside. However, the tartar sauce was a bit disappointing. The "Miyazaki charcoal-grilled chicken" for 650 yen had tough meat that was hard to chew, maybe it was frozen meat. This dish was not so great. The highlight of the meal was the "Kakio-ko" for 1,000 yen, which we ordered with a half-and-half sauce and rock salt. It was an oyster-based okonomiyaki with oysters generously placed on top. The flavor was better with the rock salt than the sauce. It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious! After a refill of Highball, I also tried the local sake from Okayama, "Nissei ni Oide" for 700 yen, and enjoyed the slightly tipsy feeling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing, like a countryside izakaya. I'd like to try their reservation-only "oyster hot pot" next time. Since the restaurant is within walking distance from my home, I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

No, no, not "cute"! The one who came is HINASE from Minamimorimachi (Hinase in Hinase, Higashi-ku, Okayama Prefecture). It is located a couple blocks east of Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street. Visited on October 12, 2018 (Friday) at 6:28 pm. The awaited person has arrived! Cheers with Kaki Oo and Asahi Super Dry to start. A regrettable missed shot - Two outs, bases loaded, feeling like Suzuki Seiya hitting a foul fly to third base with a straight high in the middle (for those who are not interested, please skip lightly). Came to eat Kaki fry, but it seems it starts from November, so let's eat the Hinase specialty "Kaki Oko" instead! (From April to October, they use frozen oysters from Hinase directly). Kaki Oko... contains 8 Hinase oysters in okonomiyaki, half with sauce and half with rock salt. We shared it nicely and ate it together. Assorted sashimi, potato salad, and chikuwa tempura (lunch that day also had shishito peppers, and at night, the Oo ordered two shishito peppers). Wrapped up in an hour and let's move on to the next place. We will come back for the shells in November... Thank you for the meal.

Invited by a senior colleague, I went to a restaurant called "Hinase" in Minamimorimachi. They receive fresh oysters directly from Nissei, Okayama Prefecture, and serve a special okonomiyaki called "Kakiocho" with oysters. We started with a toast with beer and ordered oyster fry, only to find out that it's only available after November... It felt like swinging for a home run and striking out. So we ordered a sashimi platter, chikuwa tempura, and Kakiocho. Although we were a bit disappointed, the Kakiocho had plenty of oysters in it, so we felt somewhat satisfied. However, there was still a lingering feeling of regret, so I'll have to come back after November to give it another try.

It has been a year since our last visit to Hinase. This time, we visited with five members from our company and added a guest, a former colleague who now works at a different company. We started with a sashimi platter with bluefin tuna, sea bream, yellowtail, and added Akashi octopus. Everything was delicious. We then indulged in steamed oysters, fried oysters, deep-fried yam, and crispy chicken mino. For the first time, we ordered a hot pot with miso flavor, loaded with vegetables and udon noodles at the end. Surprisingly, all five ladies enjoyed it and finished everything. With the help of sake, we also enjoyed fresh oysters, more Akashi octopus, and a larger portion of the main dish, Kakioko, with both sauce and salt options. We all left the restaurant fully satisfied, having had a delightful dining experience. Thank you, Hinase!

Whether grilled, steamed, fried, or eaten raw, for the final dish with large oysters, I recommend "Jinenjo-age" or "Oyster sake-steamed". There is a slight bitterness from the charred parts, but it is recommended for those who want to finish with a soup dish.

During this season (April), the Kakioko was made with frozen oysters, but the oyster flavor came through nicely and it was delicious. The Okayama specialty Horumon Udon also had a good taste of the sauce, a chewy texture of the noodles, and was enjoyable.
