The scorching heat of September is still intense. In the early afternoon, feeling a bit peckish, I ordered Takosen with cheese for 250 yen and a white soda for 250 yen at the entrance of the store. I enjoyed it inside the store, where the air conditioning was on and there was self-service water available. The Takosen came with two pieces of takoyaki, which was enough to satisfy my hunger. The sauce and mayo were generously applied, making me feel happy. Thank you for the meal!

Visit date: August 19, 2023 (Saturday) After getting out of Osaka Castle Park Station, I found a takoyaki shop nearby. With limited time to eat before the live show, I felt that the takoyaki shop was very convenient. I came across the sign for "Takosen" which I love and have eaten at takoyaki shops in Tokyo before. Since I had already eaten cabbage yakisoba, I wasn't confident in finishing a whole takoyaki, so ordering one Takosen for 200 yen was just right. The staff asked if I was okay with mayonnaise, to which I replied yes. The shop was crowded, likely due to the upcoming live show. The water was self-service at the central counter. I sat at a vacant table at the back and started nibbling on the Takosen. The large senbei, about 15cm in diameter, had a delicious and crunchy texture. After a few bites, I finally reached the takoyaki inside. The collapsed takoyaki was not a problem as the gooey filling and the sauce & mayo combo were delicious. The small octopus peeking out was cute and tasty. Takosen is a great dish for those who can't eat much or want to control their portions. Although I haven't tried many takoyaki, I felt that Takosen is a delightful option to have at a takoyaki shop. Due to its location, it seems like it will continue to attract many customers in the future. Thank you for the meal!

Whenever there is a live performance at Osaka Yano, I always end up going. The Negi Pon with beer is the best!! I found out about Wanaka when Namie Amuro performed there, but whenever I am in Osaka, I always make sure to stop by. Delicious takoyaki with beer is a must-have!

I always eat here before concerts at Osaka-Jo Hall! There's always a line, but they work quickly so you don't have to wait long. The dough is delicious and the sauce is the best! I've tried other flavors, but the sauce is my favorite!

I visited the shop around 1 pm on Sunday. This shop sells takoyaki for takeout or dine-in. The weather was nice, and there was some event at Osaka Castle Hall, so I waited for about 20 minutes. However, the takoyaki was served quickly. I ordered the Osaka Castle Takoyaki Tower set and a melon soda. It came with 3 pieces each of soy sauce, sauce, mentaiko mayo, and green onion flavors. It was a good size for two adults to share. The takoyaki was soft and gooey, with a creamy filling inside. It was hot when served, but very delicious.

Before going to the live show, I stopped by the food and drink street in front of Osaka Castle Hall and had some takoyaki at Wanaka for the first time in a while. When people from outside the prefecture visit, they definitely want to try it. 8 pieces for 600 yen, and they have seating available inside. You can help yourself to water. The taste is consistently good!

I stopped by after a live performance at Osaka-Jo Hall. JO-TERRACE OSAKA today seems to be targeting customers returning from the live shows by extending their business hours. I arrived at 8:00 PM and there was a line. However, the takoyaki was served quickly so I was able to enjoy it inside the store. I ordered the "Tenshukaku Mori Osaka Castle Takoyaki" which allows you to enjoy 4 different flavors: dashi shoyu katsuobushi, kettle-cooked salt mayo, seasonal limited-time sauce, and special sauce. The dashi shoyu katsuobushi flavor was the most delicious. You can use the Osaka Welcome Campaign coupon, but it's only accepted in electronic form, so be aware of that. Thank you for the meal. The octopus balls with extra green onions were delicious and went well with beer! The dipping sauce was also great, especially the cold summer version. Even though the balls were hot, dipping them in the sauce made them easy to eat. It was a perfect treat for my tired body after visiting Osaka Castle. I definitely want to eat it again!

When you come to Osaka, you must eat Wanaka's takoyaki. I gave up when I saw the line in Namba, so I decided to eat at Wanaka in the castle today. The spicy sauce and mentaiko cheese with a cold beer are delicious. The heat doesn't go away, but Wanaka is delicious and satisfying as always!

I went to Takoyaki Douraku Wanaka in Osaka Castle Park. They have a dining area, and it was not crowded maybe because of the good weather, so I decided to dine in. The takoyaki was fluffy and creamy, with a delicious dashi flavor.

After walking around Osaka Castle, I lined up for about 10 minutes on a Sunday afternoon to enter the restaurant. Those getting takeout also need to line up in the same queue. I ordered the 8-piece takoyaki with salt seasoning. Even though they are pre-made, they were served piping hot due to the fast turnover. They paired well with a draft beer. I wish I had ordered the 12-piece set, but still enjoyed the delicious takoyaki. Whether it's a local delicacy or a tourist spot, the prices are almost the same as in Tokyo.

Unfortunately, the teppanyaki menu is unavailable due to the coronavirus.

When I visited Osaka, I tried takoyaki at Wanaka. Osaka is famous for takoyaki, and Wanaka is known for their Osaka-style takoyaki. As I headed towards Osaka Castle, I wanted to enjoy delicious takoyaki, and that's when I came across Takoyaki Wanaka. The takoyaki was piping hot, juicy, and bursting with flavor. I was able to savor the exquisite taste of their takoyaki. Overall, it was a great restaurant in terms of location and taste!

This is Takoyaki Donburi Wannaka Osaka Castle Park store located at JO-TERRACE in Osaka Castle Park. The popular takoyaki shop in Sennichimae, Wannaka, can be found quite often in Osaka. And here in Osaka Castle Park, it is naturally present, being a tourist spot. The most convenient thing is that it is located near Osaka Castle Hall, making it handy for the waiting time before opening. You can eat inside the store, but when there is an event at Osaka Castle Hall, it can get crowded with customers, so it might be a bit difficult to enter. You can also get takeout in front of the store, and you can sit on a bench in the spacious area within JO-TERRACE to enjoy your meal. You can also get beer for takeout. The takoyaki (500 yen) comes in a set of 8 pieces. I haven't been to other Wannaka stores, so I'm not sure if this is the tourist spot price, but it's not ridiculously expensive, and I think it's reasonably priced for a light meal. These takoyaki are quite gooey. And of course, they are hot. They come with a long toothpick, but it's quite challenging to eat by poking it. You have to struggle to lift it up and endure the heat when you put it in your mouth. It's quite a challenge. This is a distinctive feature, but I would prefer to eat it with chopsticks if possible. However, the taste doesn't disappoint, it has the rich Osaka flavor. If you're looking for something to eat around here, I think it's worth a try. There aren't many Osaka-like food and drink places in JO-TERRACE other than this one.

Before going to Osaka Castle, I got hungry so I had some Osaka specialties, takoyaki and okonomiyaki, to fill my stomach! I didn't know where to find delicious takoyaki in Okinawa, so I was very satisfied with the taste. I was so hungry that I almost ordered another takoyaki while waiting for the okonomiyaki to cook, but I'm glad I waited! I forgot to take a picture of the okonomiyaki, but it was fluffy and the pork was crispy and delicious. Next time, I want to try takoyaki in Akashiyaki style dipped in dashi broth.

I first visited Osaka Castle on my Osaka trip. It's quite a walk from the moat to the castle. Let's quench our thirst. Takoyaki and beer, that's the way to go, right? I noticed many other customers eating takoyaki sandwiched between rice crackers, and it caught my interest.
