It was a cozy little restaurant where udon and izakaya dishes harmonized nicely. It was a popular place, and even when we visited around midnight, several groups came in while we were dining. The udon was great, but the tempura was the best! I would definitely like to visit this place again.

There is a udon restaurant called Tabana near Ishibashi-Sakaida Station that is open until late at night. We always go there for a satisfying meal after drinking. The broth is very gentle and comforting, with a clear soy sauce and bonito flavor that soothes you after drinking. The udon noodles have a great texture and are very delicious. The freshly fried burdock tempura is also delicious, with a wide variety of tempura options that are freshly fried and very tasty.

This is a Sanuki udon restaurant that opens from 9 pm. Unlike udon with just firmness, the noodles here have a perfect balance of firmness and smoothness, paired with their special broth. I usually visit around 2 am, and their Kamaage udon is a recommended dish that you can enjoy even late at night. A hidden gem is their side menu item, Tempura Rice Ball! The rice ball itself is made with cooked rice, and they top it with freshly fried shrimp tempura. I bought it as a souvenir and even the next morning, the shrimp tempura was still crispy and delicious.

My favorite is the Niku Gobou-Ten Katsu Udon. It is a recently opened restaurant located very close to Hankyu Ishibashi Station. The taste was even better than expected.

I stopped by around 3 o'clock after drinking, and it was not crowded. When I went upstairs, I found a clean and pleasant atmosphere inside the restaurant. I ordered the grated daikon radish cold udon with tempura on top, and it was the most delicious udon I've had recently. The katsu udon seems to be the most popular, so I definitely want to try it next time. The staff were friendly and not intrusive, allowing me to have a relaxing conversation with the person I was with. The restaurant may not stand out at first glance, making it a bit intimidating for newcomers, but the taste is excellent, so I highly recommend giving it a try.
