I love anmitsu and I decided to come here because I wanted to try the matcha one. It wasn't crowded on a weekday, which was great. The anmitsu was not too sweet and very satisfying. I want to try the parfait next time!

After finishing lunch at Fumika, we didn't have any specific plans, so we decided to stroll around Gion area for some sweets. We wanted to try some matcha sweets, so we avoided the usual places and headed to a sweets shop run by a candy store. There were about 5 people ahead of us waiting, so we looked at the candies on display and waited for about 20 minutes before being seated. My wife ordered a black honey ice cream anmitsu, and I ordered a mini matcha parfait with black honey warabi mochi set. The sweets arrived in about 10 minutes. The matcha ice cream was delicious with a rich matcha flavor, satisfying our matcha sweet cravings. And the warabi mochi with black honey... it was amazing! The black honey was incredibly tasty, a true specialty of the candy store. The generous amount of kinako powder paired perfectly with the soft warabi mochi. This warabi mochi was one of the best I've ever had. I wanted to buy some as a souvenir, but the expiration date was that day, so I had to give up on that idea. I also considered buying the black honey, but the amount was quite large, so I decided against it. I look forward to coming back for more. The candies we bought as souvenirs (black candy, matcha candy) were also delicious. The only downside was that the store was a bit cold inside, which was a slight negative point. But the food was truly delicious, so I definitely want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

I heard that the shaved ice here is delicious, so I decided to check it out. It was around 4 pm on a holiday, but we were smoothly seated. I decided to try the matcha flavored shaved ice, which I haven't had much before. Well, I should have gone with strawberry after all (lol). The green tea was also refreshing and easy to drink, making for a nice break.

Perfect set menu for someone like me who wants to eat shaved ice and other sweet treats! I was thrilled to order the set of black syrup shaved ice and red bean soup. The shaved ice made me shiver with delight after just one bite! I devoured it in no time (laughs). The warm tea that came at the end was also much appreciated.

In late November, when I came to Kyoto, I decided on a matcha parfait. It was crowded due to the autumn leaves season and being a Sunday, with an 8-person wait. After about 15 minutes, I got a seat next to the register. I chose the matcha chiffon parfait over the matcha parfait. It arrived in about 10 minutes, topped with mont blanc and sweet red bean paste. The taste was ordinary, nothing special. The white rice cakes and matcha-flavored white rice cakes were delicious for those who like rice cakes. The matcha chiffon and matcha ice cream were also ordinary. The chewy jelly had a good texture, but it made the chiffon cake soggy. Overall, the matcha parfait in Kyoto was not impressive, just average. The place seemed to be run by a family, with an elderly lady at the register and a young person assisting inside. The service was polite and good. Since it used to be a candy shop, you can get a 10% discount on candy when dining in. Many people seemed to buy candy as souvenirs. It's a perfect affordable gift.

After offering rice cakes at Yasaka Shrine, I suddenly felt like having shaved ice, so I stopped by this place. The shop seemed to sell candy in the front and had a dining area in the back. I was seated quickly without much wait. The menu mainly consisted of shaved ice, but they also had dishes like sweet red bean soup and parfaits. I was intrigued by the shaved ice with sweet red bean soup inside, so I ordered that. It was served promptly. At first glance, it looked like a regular Uji-Kintoki shaved ice. The ice was fluffy like snow, but it had a decent weight to it. As I started eating, I found the sweet red bean at the bottom. Digging further, I discovered that the sweet red bean soup was spread underneath. Usually, shaved ice has a lot of volume and you get tired of it towards the end. However, this one provided a double enjoyment as you could enjoy a different taste after finishing the shaved ice. The quality of the sweet red bean soup was also high and paired well with the shaved ice. It felt like a new dessert experience rather than just shaved ice, and I was highly satisfied.

Uji matcha cream kakigori Kinjito was the most delicious shaved ice I have ever had! It had ice cream and red bean paste inside, and I didn't get tired of it until the end. The ice was just the right size and not too crunchy. They also served warm tea at the perfect time. I want to go back again.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon, there is no parking available. Due to the impact of the coronavirus, I was able to enter without waiting in line. I ordered the Uji Milk Cream Kinshi shaved ice for 1,100 yen including tax. The appearance is neat and the shop is also clean. The taste is just delicious. The prices are a bit high, probably because it is a popular sweet shop in this area. The candy I received on my way out was also delicious. It was a treat, thank you!

I came to this shop to have a matcha parfait. It was already past 5 PM, but there was a bit of a wait, about 20 minutes. Eventually, I was seated on the spacious second floor, where I could relax. I ordered the Lemon Juice Matcha Parfait. The name was refreshing, and the parfait had a light taste, making it just okay for my low-carb diet. I enjoyed it while sipping on tea. It would have been nice if it had a bit more substance. However, on this day, due to the influence of the pandemic, I didn't see any Korean people around town. I am not religious, but it seems like it would be best to avoid gatherings of certain religions. Thank you for the meal.

I was walking around Gion in Kyoto during my trip and felt like having tea when I got tired, so I went into "Koishi" nearby. I have been going there occasionally since my student days. The taste is gentle and delicious. Sometimes you can even see maiko on their way to work.

I tried the Matcha Parfait for ¥1,140 and the Mini Anmitsu with Mini Black Sugar Warabi Mochi for ¥1,090. The texture of the shiratama and matcha jelly was delightful. The sweetness of the red bean paste and black syrup helped soothe my tired body. When it comes to sweet treats in Kyoto, you can't go wrong with anything that is "wa" or matcha-flavored. Every bite was a hit.

Date and time of visit: 11/19/2019 at 15:35. This is the fourth stop on my food tour in Kyoto, at the cafe "Chabo Koishi". Before heading back, I decided to visit one more place that is a bit difficult to enter alone. I ordered the "Drink and Creamy Matcha Pudding Set". I was hoping for shaved ice based on past information, but it seems it was only available in the summer. - Food/Taste: 3.7 The "Creamy Matcha Pudding" lives up to its name with its smooth texture. When you shake the container, it jiggles and barely holds its shape. The taste is rich and refreshing, with a strong matcha flavor. The traditional pudding flavor is overshadowed by the matcha. I was surprised by the "Brown Sugar Milk" that came with the drink set. The brown sugar syrup is provided separately, and when mixed, it enhances the sweetness. Unlike the usual sharp sweetness of brown sugar, this was simply sweet. It may vary depending on personal preference, but as a lover of sweet treats, it was perfect for me. My companion particularly enjoyed the "Mini Brown Sugar Syrup Warabi Mochi". - Service: 3.3 The staff regularly refilled our tea. As we were leaving, they gave each of us two candy balls, one of which was a sweet potato flavor. Quite unusual, but surprisingly tasty. - Atmosphere: 3.2 Located along Shijo Street, fairly close to Yasaka Shrine, this place is marked by the numerous parfait displays in the window. The entrance leads to a sales area, with the tea room further inside. There were over 10 customers when we arrived, and more trickled in later. It was quite lively, especially in the sales area, which seemed to have a constant flow of visitors. - Value for Money: 3.0 The "Drink and Creamy Matcha Pudding Set" costs 1,130 yen, while the "Mini Matcha Parfait and Mini Brown Sugar Syrup Warabi Mochi" is 1,270 yen. These are tourist area prices, understandable considering the location. Overall, this cafe had a touristy vibe but still offered a pleasant experience.

(Shishiodoshi) Kon!! I managed to compose it nicely. A lemon parfait from Koishi, loved by maiko, geisha, and even ogres, how about that! After a long time, I went shopping in Kyoto. It would be a waste to return to Osaka empty-handed, so I decided to have a sweet break. I visited a cafe attached to the famous candy shop "Ieden Kyoto Ameya Gion Koishi," where maiko often visit. It was just before the order stop time. The brightly lit curtain was like a golden folding screen. - Parfait of the lemon in love with matcha, tax included 1,330 yen A glass that stretches tall and slim like a maiko. Or maybe more like a geisha. (It doesn't matter!) Held in the crook of the arm is a special lemon honey. It has a rich sweet and sour taste. Upon closer inspection, you can see fine fruit pulp and peel inside. The "hair ornament" of the parfait consists of matcha cookies, whipped cream, red bean paste, shiratama, matcha shiratama... The lemon garnish is subtly placed, giving a sophisticated touch. The matcha cookies have a rich and expansive flavor. This is no ordinary feeling. As you continue to eat the vanilla and matcha ice cream, the main lemon pudding appears. The slightly acidic pudding is truly innovative. The bold pairing with the lemon honey is outstanding. I wonder if this is available for sale anywhere, as both of my eyes are now heart-shaped. The supporting roles were still playing hide and seek. Apricot pops up unexpectedly. Even when viewed from the side, the vibrant orange color stands out. In a typical parfait, the cereal zone is for lifting the bottom, but here, matcha pudding and lemon agar are laid out. The matcha pudding is elastic with a balance of bitterness and sweetness, while the transparent lemon agar has a subtle acidity. The repeated waves of acidity, sweetness, and bitterness in this parfait create a refined and sophisticated taste that never bores the palate. By the time I finished eating, I was giving a standing ovation. (Is that really true? Western-style compliments don't suit Gion) At the register, the lady handed me two pieces of candy. Thank you, I really love this place. (Isn't that from Nishimura's Aisei Boron commercial?) Thank you for the meal.

Every time I go to Kyoto, I make sure to stop by this place. They have a variety of sweets that you can't find in department stores, so I always end up buying something here. This time, I was craving Japanese sweets so I decided to try the "Lemon Matcha Parfait" that caught my eye. I was a bit skeptical about the combination of lemon and matcha, but surprisingly, the refreshing lemon went really well with the sweetness of the matcha. Drizzling lemon honey on top added an extra refreshing kick, making it a delicious treat that helped me forget about the heat. My friend had the chiffon parfait, which looked equally delicious and satisfying. Whichever you choose, you can't go wrong with their desserts. When in Kyoto, it's definitely worth trying their Japanese sweets over Western-style desserts. On my way out, I also bought some warabi mochi (without soybean flour) and candy. The warabi mochi had a nice balance of kinako powder and black honey, providing a satisfying sweetness that was really enjoyable.

During my sightseeing trip in Kyoto with GW, I wanted to eat a matcha parfait, but since there are no shops in Tokyo, I decided to come here. As it is a candy shop, half of the first floor is a candy shop, and the other half is a cafe space. Located facing the main street leading to Yasaka Shrine, there were about five groups of customers in front of us, but surprisingly, we were seated in about 20 minutes. While waiting, I secretly enjoyed tasting the candies in the store (lol). - Matcha Chiffon Parfait At the bottom, there is matcha pudding and agar, in the middle there is vanilla ice cream and matcha ice cream. On top, there is matcha chiffon cake with a small Mont Blanc. It was a hearty parfait, just what I was waiting for!!! The matcha pudding had a strong matcha flavor and was delicious. The rest was average, but since there were various layers, I didn't get tired of the taste and was able to enjoy the large parfait. Maybe it would be better if the ice cream had a stronger matcha flavor? However, it was very beautiful as a parfait and I had fun eating it. Thank you for the meal!

I went in winter and had to wait in line quite a bit due to the popularity of the shop. I ordered the matcha parfait. It had rich matcha ice cream with chestnuts, shiratama, and other toppings that I liked, making it very enjoyable. It seemed small, but actually had a decent amount of volume and left me satisfied!

After enjoying Baby Back Ribs at Tony Roma's in AEON MALL KYOTO store, I took a photo of the fountain in Miyako Michi. The design of the falling water may have changed now. The photos I took in a short time didn't turn out well at all... haha. The tail of a heart, the head of a heart. The next day, while looking at the Minami-za Theater before renovation, I arrived at Gion Koishi, the main store of Iemoto Kyoto Ame Gion Koishi Tea Room located on the north side of Gion Machi in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The first floor is Gion Koishi, a candy shop, and the second floor is the Koishi Tea Room cafe. It's a famous and popular sweet shop, so there were a lot of customers on both the first and second floors. The menu is from 10 years ago, so it seems that the same menu is no longer available. I came here wanting to eat a Japanese-style parfait. The autumn limited edition menu, Kuro Mitsu Koishi Parfait, is a rich parfait that is essentially a Japanese-style parfait with plenty of volume. You will enjoy the shop's special black honey poured over it. Grain bean paste, chestnut Mont Blanc, chestnut sweet simmered in syrup, brown sugar ice cream, white rice cake dumplings, matcha-flavored white rice cake dumplings, brown sugar chiffon cake, vanilla ice cream, black honey kinako pudding, whipped cream, black sugar honey jelly. As you eat through it, you can enjoy various flavors, and it was very delicious. Warabi Mochi is a single piece of warabi mochi that is large and generously sprinkled with soybean flour. It is served with the shop's special black honey. It is chewy and plump, and delicious. Since it's a candy shop, I would like to buy some candy next time and go eat some sweets again. For more detailed information about this review, please visit Eternal Rose, where there are several photos not posted on Tabelog. Thank you for your attention.
