I stayed overnight in Kokura and needed to leave early the next day, so I had breakfast at the McDonald's near the station. I thought they opened at 6:30, so I arrived right on time, but there were already a lot of customers. I wondered if they were open 24 hours. I ordered the Big Breakfast and sat at the counter by the window on the second floor, overlooking the station. The coffee was good, but a bit strong. The scrambled eggs were plain, so I had to add salt and pepper myself. The hamburger had a strong flavor, which paired nicely with the muffin. The texture of the muffin was good. I liked the hash browns, but they were a bit salty. I was quite full after eating, so it was time to leave. There was a poster on the wall advertising the "Heisei Burger Revival." It mentioned something about the Heisei Chobeligoo. It's nostalgic that the Heisei era has come to an end. Time flies, right? ^^)

I landed in Kyushu and the first station I got off at was Kokura Station. It was December 30th, so there were lots of people coming and going. I headed to McDonald's. I thought it would be crowded with so many people, but I easily found a seat on the 2nd floor, so I was relieved. I got a hot coffee and an apple pie to prepare for the rest of my train journey.

Hawaiian Burger is back from July 27th! I love their Garlic Shrimp Burger, so I made sure to go on the first day this time. I ordered the Garlic Shrimp Burger set with a Mac Fizz drink for an extra 70 yen. The burger tasted similar to last year, with a spicy red sauce and fried garlic giving it a nice kick. The cheese on top didn't stand out much. The spiciness was noticeable but not overwhelming. The Mac Fizz drink was a melon soda with pineapple and passion fruit sauce, and it had small mango chunks in it. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and might come back for more this summer.

The Red Garlic Teriyaki Set (720 yen) was ordered again after receiving a wrong order of Double Cheeseburger last time. The teriyaki sauce is sweet with a hint of garlic and a spicy kick, but the combination didn't quite work well together. Although not bad, the balance seemed off. The bacon was a nice addition, but didn't really enhance the flavors. I tried the limited edition ginger salt sauce for the nuggets, which had a Chinese cuisine-like taste. It wasn't something I would want to order again, but it wasn't bad. The Red Garlic Teriyaki was disappointing, but I am looking forward to the Hawaiian Burgers starting on July 27th. I love the Garlic Shrimp Burger, so I hope to enjoy it a lot this year.

It is convenient to have McDonald's in Kyoto or Kokura near the train station. There are many branches in every city, offering affordable prices. Until December 30th, the M and L sizes of French fries are temporarily unavailable, causing people to joke about being "McDonald's French fry refugees." It seems to be one of this year's hot topics! The McDonald's French fries are amazing! For lunch, I always get the Minute Maid orange juice L size. It's usually 270 yen at the McDonald's I've been to, but the Hachijo-guchi store in Kyoto charges 280 yen. It was 270 yen at Shinagawa, so why is that? It's a mystery to me.

This time, I had lunch at "McDonald's Kokura Station Front Store". I used the mobile order system again, which allows you to order without waiting in line. It's quite convenient, although you can't pay with cash. This time, I ordered... - Big Mac (390 yen including tax) - Gracoro (320 yen including tax) - Coca-Cola (220 yen including tax) I received my order in 2-3 minutes. The store was somewhat crowded, but I managed to secure a table. Gracoro, which is sold in the winter season, is a menu item I have always liked, so I make sure to have it every year. However, it felt a bit smaller compared to the past... Could it be due to the current trend of stealth price increases? (laughs) The croquette sauce on the shrimp gratin croquette, as well as the double sauce of egg sauce, were tasty. The cabbage was crunchy, and the buns were soft and delicious as always. The Big Mac was consistently delicious, with lettuce and chopped onions falling everywhere as usual (laughs). I would like to have another Gracoro while it's still being sold. This time, I went to McDonald's Kokura Ekimae store for lunch. When I arrived at the store, there were about 5 people waiting in line at the register, so I quickly switched to mobile ordering. I received my order about 3 minutes after ordering. This time, I ordered the Big Mac Value Lunch (set) for 600 yen. The store had a wide range of customers, from students to elderly people, as the state of emergency had been lifted. I sat at an empty table. Personally, my favorite item on McDonald's regular menu is the Big Mac. The lettuce always ends up falling into the box, but I love the sauce on the Big Mac. The fries were freshly fried, crispy, and delicious. Sometimes, I crave junk food like this (laughs). I wonder when I'll come back next time. As of August 18, 2021, the eat-in hours have changed to 5:00-20:00 (takeout remains unchanged). I've been enjoying Neva Toro Gyudon and visiting Hawaii in between. I want to eat as much as possible before it ends in the near future. The Chachatown store closes at 8:00 PM for both eat-in and takeout, but seating is unavailable after 8:00 PM. So, even if you want to eat late at night, you can still buy here. On this day, the opening time of a new horumon-yaki shop was delayed, so I was really hungry and rushed to Hawaii (lol). I'll be having horumon-yaki later, so I only got the garlic shrimp burger without any side dishes. It feels much thinner than the Chachatown store's version (^▽^;) It's tightly packed and easy to eat, but there are too many small pieces of lettuce, and they're all sticking out from the buns, so when I gently opened the wrapper, it spilled and scattered everywhere (lol). The taste and texture were the usual delicious garlic shrimp burger, so it's all good!

As of July 6, 2021, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM, eat-in services are suspended. Recently, my favorite Vtuber, Imasake Hakuno, has been releasing food review videos featuring Spicy Chicken McNuggets and Burnt Garlic Chili Oil Sauce, which piqued my interest in McDonald's. Although I prefer Mos Burger or Lotteria due to not liking McDonald's fries and their drinks not being Suntory, I couldn't resist the explosive popularity of their limited-time menu items. I usually only go to McDonald's every 2-3 months, but when they have items like Gracoro or Banana Shake, I find myself going more often. McDonald's is a place of intense love and hate for me. When I heard that the Juicy Chicken Red Chili was back, I quickly went to try it. I usually prefer nuggets for side dishes, so I was unsure about how to handle a chicken burger. I decided to change the fries to a small size and ordered the Juicy Chicken Red Chili set. The spiciness was not overpowering, more like the lingering heat of Calbee's Karu Mucho chips. The juicy texture of the chicken was delightful, reminding me of the days when I used to frequent McDonald's for this burger. The fries, even in the small size, had a freshly fried quality to them. While I enjoyed the first few, I quickly lost interest in them. I finished the meal with an ordinary apple pie, as the custard version was no longer available. Overall, I found that the regular apple pie was sufficient for dessert.

Kokura Kita-ku, Kitakyushu City. McDonald's. Morning Mac, Night Mac, Snack Mac, limited-time menu. Every time I go, I struggle to choose. There are too many menu items that I like. Or rather, I just really love McDonald's. I love the crew who work happily, the customers who struggle to choose a menu, and even the sound of the timer for the fries. A review of one product that I came up with just out of my love for McDonald's. The 4th review is for the Juicy Chicken Red Pepper (390 yen). Juicy Chicken Red Pepper. A spicy chicken fillet that first appeared in the summer of 2008. In the summer of 2009, the Juicy Chicken Black Pepper was also released as a limited-time product. As part of McDonald's 50th anniversary limited-time products, it made a comeback after about 10 years. The mayonnaise sauce goes well with the spicy chicken fillet. The lettuce adds a nice touch. Among the limited-time products, this is a product that I personally have a strong attachment to. Thank you for the meal.

When you talk normally, you can't understand what you're saying /(^o^)\ I finished my cola, read the paper laid out, and thought about trying a regular burger for the first time in a while. I can't remember the last time I ordered a regular beef patty because I almost always get a Filet-O-Fish, Gracoro, or Teriyaki Burger. Well, I'll try it next time I feel like it. Looking at the official website 2-3 days later, it said, "Due to the popularity of the Gracoro, it is ending at some stores." I made it in time, but it was a close call (laughs). I hope I can make it in time again next winter.

After the meetup, I was teased for writing a review for just one hamburger. I purchased the limited edition "Atsuni Kudabuchi" burger. The patty was thicker than usual, and while it didn't look much different at first, it turned out to be quite substantial when I took a bite. In fact, it was so filling that my jaw started to tire towards the end. Since I had to catch the last train, I only ordered the burger by itself, but it would have paired well with a beer or even red wine.

After spending the night in Kokura and waking up in the morning, I was really hungry since I only had a small bowl of udon noodles the night before. I couldn't wait until lunch, so we stopped by a McDonald's at Kokura Station for breakfast. I had my usual 100 yen sausage muffin with hash browns and iced coffee. My companion had pancakes with hot coffee. It had been a while since I had hot hash browns, and even though I was worried about the calories, they were delicious! The pancakes my companion shared with me were also very good. I always say this, but I wish they would add them to the regular menu!

I go to McDonald's about 3 times a week and always enjoy their fried potatoes. I go during the time when the potatoes taste the best. I love the MacFizz and Blue Hawaii drinks. The yogurt shake is also delicious, so I keep coming back for more. I've been a fan of McDonald's potatoes since I was a child, so I will continue to visit in the future.

There is a McDonald's in front of Kokura Station. It's a very prominent location and it's open almost 24 hours, except for cleaning time. Even in the early morning, it seems to be almost full, which is typical of Kokura. There are izakayas that stay open late, 24-hour diners, and other places where young people gather for drinks and chat. There are also single seats with outlets, which is nice. However, the single seats on the first floor are quite narrow, so the comfort level is a bit iffy. It's been years since I had breakfast at McDonald's. I enjoyed my favorite menu item after a long time. The muffin was so fragrant, I didn't remember it being like this. It was nice to have my favorite breakfast at McDonald's again.

I came to Kokura on this day as well. I had only a job interview scheduled for this day, so I brought my family and played around before the interview. Since the store was not yet completed, we borrowed the space and conducted the interview while drinking coffee here. I had to order something, so I got a Happy Meal for my daughter and a hot coffee for myself. The hot coffee was bitter! Thank you for the meal!

Limited time offer!! I was immediately intrigued by the peach-flavored McDonald's milkshake, so I stopped by and tried it. Wow, it was delicious! I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised!

I used it for lunch, but the potato was colder than I expected, which was disappointing. I ordered the Teriyaki Burger, which is a seasonal limited edition from Hokkaido and Osaka, but the ingredients inside were not aligned with the buns, so I was disappointed when I opened it. The toilet was not very clean either... It seems that there are differences depending on the store, so in the future, I will use the store I usually go to.
