On the day of finishing work, I headed to a drinking party with a festive mood. Since I hadn't made any reservations, I was turned away from every restaurant I tried until I happened to visit this place. It was located on the second floor, so it was available. The owner managed everything alone, but we received various appetizers at a good pace. The sesame mackerel, gyoza, potato salad, etc., each had a Fukuoka-like seasoning and taste, and they were all delicious.

Having a drink with sesame mackerel and hot tofu at "Morikawa" in Haruyoshi. Located on the second floor of a building along Haruyoshi's main street, "Morikawa" is a compact izakaya with three tables and five counter seats. They serve fresh beer with a side dish of simmered gourd, which is quite filling. The sesame mackerel, priced at 900 yen, is a bit on the expensive side but worth it for its freshness. The hot tofu, priced at 600 yen, comes with yuzu pepper and green onions. As it was a bit cold, I also had a potato shochu on the rocks. I took advantage of the free Wi-Fi to watch YouTube videos while enjoying my meal, feeling like a trendy kid. The total bill came to 2800 yen, and they accept various cashless payment methods such as PayPay.

After midnight, past 12 o'clock. We were lost and searching for a place to rest. Couldn't think of anywhere. As expected of drunk people lol We boldly entered the place we happened to pass by. Wasn't it on the second floor? Stayed for two hours. It was around 2000 yen per person even though we had steak! Cheap! And they didn't make a single unpleasant face. The couple running the place seemed nice. The atmosphere was somehow good. It doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. A hidden gem in the backstreets of Hanyu. I'll definitely go back as if I just remembered! (^^)
