I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. I chose Course A, which includes appetizers, a choice of main dish, focaccia, and a drink after the meal. Everything was delicious, but I especially enjoyed the Wakayama Bonito Carpaccio and the focaccia. The owner couple's harmony and good service make for a pleasant dining experience. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

There was a forecast for rain on that day, so I chose a route where I could walk through without going through the shopping street to get to this restaurant I had been wanting to try. I arrived a bit off the lunchtime rush, so I was able to sit down smoothly. I ordered the 3500 yen lunch course! Everything was delicious, and I want to go back again soon!

The clear white wine pairs well with the hearty dishes here! The wine is easy to drink and very delicious, always served chilled. The dishes have such generous portions that the appetizers alone could pass as a main course, perfect for sharing. Unlike other places where sharing might lead to arguments, at Pokina, they encourage sharing with a smile. For those who don't like sweet desserts, they also offer cheese which is a nice touch. I love Pokina!

This is a shop located along a shopping street in the direction from Momotani towards Ikuno. We visited with two children, and took off our shoes before going upstairs. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a traditional row house, with a private space along the shopping street. It feels like it's aimed at moms with children, with toys available for kids and a relaxing space. The food is also good. It's a rare find - a French restaurant where you can relax and enjoy with your children.

The beautiful mama and handsome master are friendly and approachable. The food is excellent, with a variety of choices, and the portions are huge! I always leave feeling happy and full. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels like a French bistro, with French language floating around, giving you the illusion of being in Paris. In a time when it's hard to travel abroad due to COVID-19, coming to Pokina makes you feel like you're dining in a Parisian bistro. It's a place where you can enjoy a hearty meal and chat for hours.

I visited for lunch. The lovely couple running the place, the atmosphere, the taste, and the service were all excellent!!! I ordered the B course with double main dishes. The portion was huge, and you could also get seconds of their homemade bread. The bread was really delicious, so I ended up getting more, but I thought my stomach was going to burst haha. It was a luxurious lunch, but for this price, to get such delicious French cuisine, I am very satisfied ♡

In the old shopping street in front of Momotani Station. I had noticed a shop with many mama-chari bicycles parked outside, so I made a reservation before visiting. When I called to inquire about the volume of the bouillabaisse, I was recommended to make a reservation for the dish as it can sometimes run out. The restaurant has tables for 2 people x 3 and a counter with 5-6 seats. It's a cozy place, and they have reduced the number of seats for COVID-19 prevention measures. The bouillabaisse course includes a choice of appetizer, special lobster bouillabaisse, rice porridge, dessert assortment or cheese, and coffee or tea. For the appetizer, I chose scallop and abalone poêlé (eliminating liver and seafood due to personal preferences). I mentioned that I don't like seafood, so they made sure to cook the scallops thoroughly. I ordered a house white wine, which was dangerously easy to drink with the appetizer. I've actually shared bouillabaisse before, but this was my first time having a whole portion to myself. When they lifted the lid in front of me, I was impressed by the sight of a large lobster, clams, some kind of sea bream, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and more in the piping hot soup. The rich flavor of the lobster miso blended perfectly with the umami of the seafood. The wine and bread paired well with the dish. I was worried about finishing it all, but I had no trouble at all. Delicious food always disappears effortlessly into my stomach. I had been concerned about the portion size, so the chef's wife or perhaps the owner asked me if I was feeling full and if I could eat the rice porridge. I opted for a modest portion of the rice porridge, which turned out to be incredibly tasty. It was even more concentrated and rich than the soup I had just enjoyed, especially when mixed with the rice. I licked the bowl clean. My body felt warm and I had a slight sweat. For dessert, I had chocolate cake, red sweet potato pudding, and strawberry sorbet. It was a delightful meal.

This is a bistro located a short walk from Momodani Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line, in the Momodani Shotengai shopping street. I visited during lunchtime after attending a seminar in the Ikuno Ward. The shop's stylish exterior stood out in the humble Momodani shopping street. Despite its chic appearance, the sight of many bicycles parked in front of the shop gave it a local feel. This must be a popular spot, I thought. The sign outside indicated there were seats available, so I instinctively walked in. Inside, there were about 8 table seats and 5 counter seats, with an open kitchen at the back. The second floor was a reservation-only tatami room. It seemed to be run by a couple. The lunch menu consisted of set courses: A Course (1,850 yen), B Course (2,980 yen), Bouillabaisse Course (3,400 yen), and Chef's Choice Course (6,300 yen). I opted for the B Course, which included a choice of appetizer, fish dish of the day, choice of meat dish, cheese or dessert, and coffee (or tea). I also ordered a glass of house wine. The red wine of the day was Beaujolais Nouveau. I chose the Terrine Campagne from the selection of appetizers. The thick terrine had a rustic appearance and a rich, simple flavor. The green leaf salad with a slightly tangy dressing complemented the terrine well. The pickles were delicious, likely homemade. Next was the fish dish of the day, pan-seared red snapper with ratatouille and white wine sauce. The crispy skin and moist flesh of the fish paired perfectly with the flavorful ratatouille and sauce. The homemade bread was crusty and delightful. I quickly finished it and asked for a second serving. For the meat dish, I chose the French duck leg confit. The crispy skin gave way to tender, flavorful meat. The dish was accompanied by a generous portion of potatoes and a light yet rich red wine sauce. I opted for the cheese selection for dessert, enjoying it with the remaining wine. The meal ended with a comforting cup of coffee. The attention to detail in the dishes was evident throughout. The quality of the food at such a reasonable price was impressive. As the lunch rush subsided, I had a chance to chat with the owner. He had previously worked at a famous restaurant in Minami but decided to open his own shop here to spend more time with his family. I found a gem of a restaurant and look forward to bringing my wife next time.

I visited the local French restaurant Pokina, which is known for its authentic cuisine. The deliciousness is always consistent and soothing. The standout this time was the roasted lamb main dish, which had a deep and rich flavor without any gamey taste. (As I don't like sweets, they kindly changed it to a cheese platter.) ☆彡A former Michelin-starred chef opened a bistro in the Momodani shopping street over a year ago, and I had the opportunity to visit. I made a lunch reservation looking forward to enjoying the highly praised French cuisine with good cost performance. The lunch menu had three options: A course (¥1,850 including tax), B course (¥2,980 including tax), and Bouillabaisse course (¥3,200 including tax). I ordered my favorite Bouillabaisse. ○Bouillabaisse course (¥3,200 including tax) - Sea urchin mousse and grilled eggplant ragout with warm egg sauce - Homemade bread - Bouillabaisse with lobster - Rice porridge with Bouillabaisse broth - Dessert plate - Hot coffee A large Le Creuset pot was brought out, and the chef opened the lid in front of us, revealing the aroma of simmered lobster. The pot was filled with plenty of seafood ingredients, a delight for seafood lovers like me. The lobster cooked in the Bouillabaisse broth was full of umami, and the flavor exploded in my mouth. The lobster claw easily came off, making it easy to eat. The generous amount of clams and the flavorful broth from the flounder added to the enjoyment. Adding rice to the rich broth, I enjoyed a delicious "ojyao" dish. The abundance of seafood umami in the broth and rice was a treasure trove of flavors. Despite the huge portion, the dish was so delicious that I finished it in no time. The dessert that came with the lunch set was a trio of delicious treats that made me feel incredibly happy. With a cup of coffee, it was the perfect dessert time. At ¥3,200 for lunch, I initially thought it was expensive, but with its deliciousness and generous portion, the cost performance was actually amazing! I wish I had discovered this wonderful restaurant sooner... I truly felt happy and satisfied with the delicious food. If you ever plan to visit Momodani, I highly recommend revisiting this place. I am so happy to be able to enjoy such delicious French cuisine at such a reasonable price in my local area. The friendly atmosphere created by the chef and madame makes the whole restaurant feel welcoming, and the delicious food, wine, and lovely ambiance make me want to come back again and again. I wanted to treat my son, who returned home for emergency evacuation, to a meal at Pokina. I specifically requested their Bouillabaisse course, which he loves. The whole family was impressed by the unmistakable deliciousness. No matter how many times we have it, good food is always good. We returned home feeling happy as always. Thank you, Chef Tanaka and Madam, for always serving delicious dishes. Thank you for the feast. We will visit again.

I was able to understand the tips for making a reservation and revisit the restaurant. Today, I requested to change the regular Poki course to a bouillabaisse with fish dishes. Without bias, all the dishes are delicious and I love them, but the bouillabaisse that I had was amazing! It was rich with the aroma and flavor of shrimp. The foie gras dish as the third course was also excellent, with a great aroma. I truly enjoyed my meal today. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

About half a year ago, I noticed a new restaurant opening in the Momoya shopping street, and it finally opened in September. I always wanted to try their lunch but it was always fully booked, so I decided to wait for a quieter time to visit. However, on a Friday when I had the day off work, my wife and I decided to try our luck and managed to get a seat at the counter on the first floor due to a cancellation. We ordered the Bouillabaisse course and the B course for lunch, along with a lunch beer (Heartland). The Bouillabaisse course included a delicious tuna carpaccio, a rich potage, and a salad. The B course had a creamy sea urchin mousse, roasted eggplant ragout with warm egg sauce, and sautéed red sea bream. The homemade bread was also delicious. The Bouillabaisse was full of lobster, clams, shiitake mushrooms, tomatoes, and other ingredients, with a rich and flavorful seafood soup. The Black Angus beef steak was cooked perfectly and the dessert and coffee were also delicious. The owner of the restaurant used to work at a famous restaurant in Minami, and decided to open their own place in the local shopping street. We enjoyed a wonderful meal that we would usually have to go all the way to Minami for, and every dish from start to finish was delicious.

We visited this restaurant for dinner with our family and honestly... I didn't want to tell anyone about it. The owner was originally a famous main chef at a French restaurant in Minami, where I had been a few times and it was my favorite place. I knew that he had opened his own restaurant, but it was hard to get a reservation, so we finally got to go this time. The couple who run the restaurant create a cozy and homely atmosphere. The appetizers were amazing right from the start! The bread and coffee made by the wife were also excellent. If you ever find yourself near Momodani Station, be sure to give it a try. Reservations are a must. P.S. I was also happy that they let us choose between dessert and cheese at the end.

"The Strange Creature of Game Meat" for some reason opened a bistro in Momodani and became "The Strange Creature of Momodani". Pokina 369 @ Osaka City Ikuno Ward "Food and Beverage Study Proxy Business" Okubo Kazuhiko is lurking in Osaka. Today, I heard that Chef Tanaka Shuji, the recent "Strange Creature of Game Meat", has opened a bistro in Momodani, so I decided to visit. Just saw the post on Chef Tanaka's Facebook about Perdreau and thought it looked interesting, so I made a reservation. Perdreau. When he was lurking at Sanbone La Fleur, just before becoming a three-star, Regis Marcon Chef of "Auberge du Clo de Sims" proposed to me, "Today, I have prepared Akaracarto, so how about starting with lobster for the appetizer and Perdreau for the main course?" The way Perdreau was served by the chef was so impressive that it remains deeply memorable even after more than 10 years have passed. By the way, the chef said if Perdreau is not available, please forgive us, so I assured him that it's okay since it seems difficult to deliver from Arkan-san in Ikuno Ward. It's my first time in the Momodani shopping street, it's very deep. When I was taking a picture in front of the store, the chef, "The Strange Creature of Game Meat," welcomed me. When I entered the store, the pastry chef's wife was there, and she greeted me in a friendly manner like an Osaka woman. First, I had the chilled pumpkin potage. It was smooth and refreshing, with a nice pumpkin flavor. The homemade bread was crispy, chewy, and slightly sweet, very delicious. Barbary duck breast and foie gras with prosciutto around it. It seems they have been aged in the mold for two weeks, then vacuum-packed for two weeks. The Bouillabaisse course and the Meat and Fish B course were both satisfying, with a quiche and kawahagi for appetizers, braised pork for the main dish, dessert, and even bread. It was a hearty meal and great value for 5300 yen in total! The Bouillabaisse was a bit difficult to eat with the shrimp, but the rice soup at the end was excellent.
