The live turtle blood was very easy to drink when combined with plum wine. I thoroughly enjoyed a full course meal of turtle, including sashimi, eggs, fried turtle, and hot pot. I felt happy and satisfied. It is rich in collagen, and I felt like my skin was in good condition the next day. I highly recommend it, especially for women. I want to go eat there regularly. The turtle soup has a deep flavor, and it is so delicious that I never get tired of it no matter how many times I drink it.

After a long time, I had a meal of softshell turtle dishes!! Visited with a friend who was trying softshell turtle for the first time!! We started with the live blood, followed by appetizers, sashimi, fried dish, grilled dish, and hot pot!! We enjoyed it very much! Many people don't like softshell turtle, but I really love it⭐Thank you for the feast!

Today was a day of battling industrial waste. I managed to finish work and headed to a restaurant I had reserved. Finally, more restaurants are reopening for business, and it seems like I can start booking at the places I want to go little by little. Today's course was all about softshell turtle, so there were some challenging parts for a novice like me. Next time, I'll try a full pot of softshell turtle and order eel and other dishes a la carte. The spacious, eerily quiet atmosphere made only the sound of chewing echo, making it uncomfortable. Thank you for the meal. Lately, I've been eating and drinking at izakayas every night, and I'm back in the 70-kilogram range. I also had a large serving of pork cutlet curry at lunch, which is not good. There seems to be a second wave of dieting. Alright, maybe I'll try a diet where I eat softshell turtle and have a lot of fun! Let's work hard at work and play hard!

I found this restaurant while looking for a place to try a course meal with softshell turtle. The menu on the website showed that the course included softshell turtle blood, which I found interesting. Since I was planning to have a light meal at the next restaurant, I decided to make a reservation. The restaurant had tatami seating, but the tables were slightly higher, so we sat on low chairs which was comfortable for me as I don't like sitting in seiza position for a long time. I ordered a reasonably priced sparkling drink. The course included: - Live turtle blood - Softshell turtle sashimi - Softshell turtle tempura - Softshell turtle hot pot (small portion) - Softshell turtle rice porridge with pickles and fruit The live turtle blood was surprisingly easy to drink, not too fishy, and tasted like it was mixed with grape juice. The sashimi was presented on top of the turtle shell, which was a bit weird. The meat, organs, and gills were all served together, with a smooth texture and no strong taste. The gills were crunchy but lacked flavor. The tempura was marinated in a sweet and savory sauce and served hot, which was delicious, but the bones made it a bit difficult to eat. The hot pot had a nice broth, and after we finished the ingredients, the staff turned the remaining broth into rice porridge, which was also tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I went to eat suppon for the first time. I was taken there by someone, so I don't know the name of the course. ★Shop★ The exterior is a bit hidden from the street, giving off a traditional Japanese restaurant vibe with a cute picture of a suppon on the curtain. There is a small garden on the way to the entrance, which I like as it adds a touch of nature in the middle of the city. Inside, there are private counter seats, with the chef serving dishes directly from the counter. The restaurant is run by the Kubota brothers, not to be confused with a sushi restaurant run by Kubota-san that I visited before. Make sure to search for "くぼた" in hiragana. ★Food★ The dishes I remember eating are eel, fried suppon, suppon hot pot, pickled suppon eggs, and fresh blood. The eel was perfectly grilled, crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with a delicious sauce that wasn't too sweet. The suppon had a rich collagen texture, and the flavor brought out the goodness of the broth from the suppon. The suppon eggs were in short supply due to the season, but I was lucky to have a taste. The unique flavor is hard to describe, but it was simply delicious. The staff saw us off warmly, making it a pleasant dinner experience.

This is a fish restaurant in Fukuoka that specializes in turtle hot pot, which is rare in Fukuoka. The turtle course starts from 7200 yen, with options for 8400 yen and 14000 yen. The 14000 yen option seems to have double the amount of turtle. They mainly use wild turtles for their dishes. The appetizers include simmered red clam, cod milt, octopus with green onion, and turtle's fresh blood mixed with plum vinegar. The blowfish and turtle dish is flavorful, with no unpleasant smell from the turtle and eaten with yuzu pepper. The turtle tempura is delicious with its gelatinous texture. The hot pot has a delicate and gentle soup, eaten with ponzu sauce or on its own. The turtle hot pot has a unique and refreshing taste, with turtle shell included. The ingredients are simple, with only green onions and turtle meat. The meal ends with a rice porridge.

I visit this restaurant every month. The chef is friendly and the hostess is very kind. They offer a course menu with a focus on softshell turtle or sometimes blowfish. They can create a course combining both softshell turtle and blowfish, so it's best to call ahead and confirm before visiting!

The long and narrow building houses a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal without being too formal or pretentious. There is a counter that seats about 5 people, 3 table seats with sunken kotatsu tables, and 1 private room. We had reserved the luxurious course. - Appetizers - Assorted raw turtle sashimi - Assorted blowfish sashimi - Live blood served in a wine glass (too much!) - Matsutake mushroom and shrimp hot pot - Turtle hot pot - Fried turtle with corn and vegetables - Live eel grilled with soy sauce - Hot pot rice with pickles. Did anyone else think the order of the courses was strange? The hot pot should be served last. Also, I wanted to drink alcohol, but having the live blood in a wine glass followed by the hot pot was too much liquid. I wonder if the turtle hot pot had ginger in it? It was delicious. It becomes quite flavorful when dipped in ponzu sauce. It was also tasty with yuzu pepper. If you order the mountain hagfish sake, be prepared for a long wait as they cook the hagfish after you order. It's best to order it before your drink runs out.
