I visited a restaurant called "Ichimi Zen" for lunch today. This place is more famous for its takoyaki shop called Acchicchi Honpo. I wanted to eat tendon, so I stopped by. The location attracts mostly foreign customers, and the menu is also geared towards them. With the inbound demand picking up again, it's no wonder they are making more profit. The tendon itself was delicious and good value for money, but the atmosphere was a bit chaotic. If you want to enjoy a leisurely meal, I recommend trying another branch. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a tempura restaurant in Osaka Minami (Suehirocho) on a weekday night for the first time. I chose the "Magic Surprise Tempura Bowl (Large)" for 1500 yen. It had a variety of tempura including shrimp x2, chicken x2, eel, fish cake, vegetable tempura, and mochi tempura. The restaurant had a cozy atmosphere and was welcoming even for solo diners. Many foreign tourists were also dining there, as the menu had translations in different languages. If you enjoy tempura and fried foods, it's definitely worth a try. The tempura was freshly fried and delicious. The only downside was that the rice portion was a bit small. Overall, it was a satisfying meal with miso soup included.

It's a very ordinary tempura bowl restaurant located in a tourist spot that seems to target foreigners.

This is my second visit. The food is delicious and suits my taste, but I was disappointed that the draft beer didn't taste good, it had a strange flavor.

On the second morning of my trip to Osaka for Idolmaster, I happened to enter a tempura rice bowl restaurant and had a hearty meal. Surprisingly, it was quite delicious upon further thought.

Around 1200 yen is enough for a satisfying portion.

If the result is everything, life is empty. If the process is the best, even more so. A line from the drama "Takane no Hana." The development was not very surprising, but I was overwhelmed by the overwhelming number of heart-piercing lines in Noboru Shimizu's script. Pooh, who meets Momo (played by Satomi Ishihara) and opens up his philosophical literacy. KAZUNARI MINETA, who played the role, was very attractive. Today, I will visit "Ichimi Zen" (7-19 Soemoncho, Chuo-ku, Osaka). The weather is gloomy, as if it's going to rain, but it hasn't. Nevertheless, I found myself by the Dotonbori River. - Chicken Tempura Bowl (750 yen) From the many tempura options, I chose the "Chicken Tempura Bowl." The tempura team consisted of 4 pieces of chicken tempura, vegetable tempura, lotus root tempura, fish cake tempura, and mochi tempura. The brown chicken tempura, which looks like fried chicken, had a crispy texture with juicy meat and a rich flavor. The slightly thick sauce enhanced the rice until the end. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. It is said that the number of foreign tourists has decreased due to the influence of the typhoon, but this area is still lively. Let us strive on our way, quietly, without regrets.

Namba work lunch. A little walk and there is the Yoshimoto entertainment district, a tourist-friendly town. There are few places to have lunch on the nightlife side where the workplace is located. On the way to the downtown area, I saw a tempura rice bowl restaurant. I decided on the tempura rice bowl because I didn't feel like walking much. There is a ticket machine at the entrance, but today it was pay after the meal. The tempura rice bowl with meat tempura was 850 yen. The meat tempura was thin and tough to chew, so it wasn't very satisfying. The regular tempura was good though. I don't know why they chose this bowl, it was hard to eat. There seemed to be many Chinese tourists as customers. The menu had English, Chinese, and Korean for tourists. It's a lunch spot for tourists.

I was planning to eat ramen in Minami, but every place had long lines. It was Saturday night after all, and it seemed like mostly tourists. Eventually, I came across a place that seemed geared towards tourists, but it had been featured on a TV show, so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant had a semi-basement layout with long tables. After a short wait, I was seated. I was a bit hesitant, but since I don't like eel, I ordered the shrimp tempura bowl instead. The difference between the regular and special versions is the number of shrimp, with the large shrimp tempura bowl having bigger shrimp. The dish arrived fairly quickly, accompanied by miso soup. The tempura bowl was served in a deep plate, with two shrimp, eggplant, lotus root, fish cake, and mochi tempura. It was my first time trying mochi tempura, and it was delicious!

In the past, I received a meal at a restaurant in Tanimachi. I wonder if it's part of the same chain because I noticed they have opened up in various locations. My impression is of big tempura dishes, with a hearty feel. I'm not necessarily looking for a big portion, but I do love tempura. I visited during lunchtime. The restaurant is located on a corner facing the north side of the Dotonbori River. Inside, there are seats in a half-basement setting with a cheap interior and a TV. About half of the seats were taken, mostly by tourists from overseas. I felt a bit out of place. I ordered the UFO Tendon from the various tempura bowl options. It had 3 types of vegetables like red bell pepper and eggplant, 2 shrimp tempura, chikuwa, and a sunny-side-up egg. I'm sure the egg was meant to resemble a UFO. The tempura was decent considering the price, but the overly sweet sauce was too strong, and I couldn't finish more than half of it. The chopstick holder, pickled radish container, and the overall greasiness were a bit too much. Small improvements can make a big difference. Thank you for the meal.

During a business trip, I didn't have much time so I decided to try this restaurant that seemed to be not too busy. There were a lot of TV interviews and mentions of winning a big contest outside the store. When I visited around 1:30 pm, there were only 5-6 foreign tourists as customers. The highlight was the generous portion size. I think it would appeal to foreigners who have never tried tempura bowls before, but the batter was not crispy at all and the rice was quite soft for a tempura bowl. Maybe Japanese customers didn't have high expectations from the beginning. The ingredients were not bad, but it was disappointing! I think Tenya might be much tastier. Lesson learned - don't be fooled by appearances, do proper research before visiting. The staff were friendly, which was a saving grace. Hmm, starting to feel a bit of indigestion now.

"Namba Ichimi Zen" (Osaka, Nihonbashi) - The most intriguing dish for me was the steak tendon, but this time I ordered the straightforward chicken tendon for 680 yen. It had a good volume typical of Ichimi Zen. Summary: Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe - One-coin lunch food tour (main dishes for 500 yen, including dishes for 400 yen or less) at 254 restaurants. All-you-can-eat, large portions, one-coin lunches, etc. Kansai "Karaage" lunch food tour memories.

I had planned to visit another restaurant, but it was full, so I stumbled upon this shop. The main store is famous and wonderful, but I was disappointed with the Nihonbashi store. I decided to give this place a try since it seemed to attract mostly foreign tourists. The menu was available in Japanese, English, and Chinese. The portion size was good for the price. Unfortunately, the tempura was not fried well, and the taste of the ingredients themselves was not impressive. The rice was soggy, which I didn't like. The sauce was also unevenly distributed. The miso soup that came with the meal was quite thin. I'm sorry, but I left both the tempura and the soup uneaten.

When it comes to Ichimi Zen, a restaurant that has won the gold prize in the National Tendon Grand Prix, it has branches in Nihonbashi and Parks as well. Whether it's a branch or not, they opened a store in the bustling Dotonbori, a popular tourist spot. The location is just across the bridge from Dotonbori River, in the block where Ichiran and Don Quijote are located. The bright interior and large TV are attractive. In addition to regular tempura and vegetables, they also offer combinations with beef, pork, and chicken tempura. I decided to go with the beef tendon bowl. The beef tendon was on the darker side, but the taste was okay, probably because of the delicious sauce. However, the leftover oil after eating was uncomfortable. The amount of tendon in items like pumpkin was low, so it wasn't too bothersome. Regarding the onion tempura, there was a toothpick inside without any warning, which could be a problem for first-time tempura eaters. The rice was mushy, which was another disappointment. But the biggest disappointment was the beef! The beef was surrounded by tendons and had a gristly texture. It seemed like they were targeting foreign tourists, but I haven't had such meat in a long time... Therefore, I left the gristly parts uneaten. The miso soup was decent for instant soup. To sum it up, the sauce was delicious, pumpkin was tasty, other vegetables and shrimp were okay, rice was poorly cooked, beef was the worst, and tendon was also disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I have no intention of visiting the main branch.
