I went there at 6:00 a.m. on September 14th. It was on my way back from the Unkai Terrace, and there were quite a few people. They serve buffet style, and the recommended dish here is the Kaiho-don, a seafood bowl with 5 kinds of seafood. Also, the pancakes made with Hokkaido milk were fluffy and chewy, absolutely delicious.

This summer vacation, I went to Hokkaido again. I met up with my eldest daughter who works in Hokkaido and we went to this restaurant. It's located in Hoshino Resorts Tomamu and the food is delicious. It's a buffet style restaurant with high quality dishes. They also offer all-you-can-drink beer. Personally, I think the Yona Yona beer was the best. I ate a lot and drank a lot. It was really delicious!

I used the Skywalk from The Tower to go to the forest restaurant "Nininupuri" and had the breakfast buffet. I chose the highly recommended "Kaihodon" as the main dish for breakfast. For the second round of dessert, I had melon, soft serve ice cream, yogurt, and other items, which made for a satisfying breakfast experience.

I used the restaurant for breakfast twice and dinner once. I was able to enter without waiting in line for breakfast in the 6 o'clock and 7 o'clock hours. The sea treasure bowl is famous, but personally, I found the French toast to be very delicious and soft. I was happy to see plenty of melon. For dinner, I visited after 6 pm and had to wait for 40 minutes due to a long line. However, I felt that the cost performance was good. There were also baby food options, which made the children happy.

Within Hoshino Resorts Tomamu, there are 3 breakfast spots, and on the morning of the 2nd night, we had a buffet at the 2nd spot here. The high-ceilinged restaurant in the middle of the forest has large windows that allow you to fully enjoy the view of the forest, providing a true taste of Hokkaido! The breakfast buffet (including tax 2,600 yen) had a menu that was surprisingly similar to the one we had at "haL" on the morning of the 1st night, but the main difference was the Kaisen-don (seafood bowl). It is a mix of salmon, ikura (salmon roe), scallops, squid, and flying fish roe marinated in sauce. Enjoying the unique texture of the flying fish roe, this seafood bowl, unlike the salmon and ikura parent-child bowl we had at haL, is self-serve so you can heap on as much as you like, and personally, I preferred this Kaisen-don!

I used it for breakfast and dinner. Both times were crowded, but we were smoothly guided when we went early. Depending on the time, there were people waiting in line. The seafood bowl for breakfast was a must-try! Also, the French toast was delicious. There is nothing to complain about the variety and quality. If you are going to have breakfast at a hotel in Tomamu, Nininupuri is recommended! For dinner, the steak cooked right in front of you and the pork bowl were very delicious. However, personally, I would recommend hal for dinner. Tomamu is a child-friendly facility, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance.

Here in Hokkaido, the specialty dish of delicious seafood bowl was unique to the region and had just the right seasoning. While Haru-san had a wide variety of bread, the French toast and other dishes were almost the same as Haru-san's. Niniupuri means "a place with many trees" in the Ainu language, and true to its name, it was surrounded by trees and had good weather, creating a pleasant atmosphere.

After moving your body in the pool at the Minamina Beach and returning to Tomamu The Tower, it's time to find a restaurant for the evening. Inside Hoshino Resort Tomamu, there are various dining options in different genres, so you can enjoy a variety of food without getting bored during your stay. About a 10-minute walk from Tomamu The Tower is a glass skywalk. The pathway can be quite cold at night, so it's recommended to wear a warm jacket. Since we couldn't get a same-day reservation at the popular buffet dining "hal," we decided to try the buffet at "Mori no Restaurant Nininupuri." The restaurant was crowded, but we were able to get a table without waiting. The restaurant also serves a breakfast buffet (which will be covered in a separate article). The glass interior of the restaurant offers a fantastic view of the snowy night scenery. The buffet area is spacious with a variety of dishes. While there were measures in place for infection prevention, many people were seen without masks both inside the restaurant and around the facility. The drink corner offers a selection of alcoholic beverages for an additional fee, including beer tastings and local wines. The salad and cold dish corner had a honey mustard salad, basil sauce, smoked salmon salad, fresh vegetable salad, and various toppings and dressings. The Chinese corner featured dishes like shredded pork with green pepper and shrimp with mayonnaise. The seafood corner had sliced octopus, scallops, marinated hokke, and more. The soba corner offered New Tokachi soba with tempura matsutake mushrooms and chicken and burdock soba with grated yam. The curry, miso soup, and various meat dishes were also available. The dessert corner had matcha crunch cake, cheesecake, chocolate cake, citrus jelly, tiramisu, almond jelly, and fruit. The buffet layout allowed for easy access to different dishes, and the seafood items were particularly fresh and delicious. The meat dishes were also well-received, especially the lamb and beef steaks. The desserts were a nice way to end the meal, with a variety of cakes and sweets to choose from. Overall, the dining experience at Mori no Restaurant Nininupuri was enjoyable and satisfying.

The buffet restaurant inside Hoshino Resort Tomamu offers a breathtaking view of illuminated hoarfrost in green. It is a bit far from any hotel and quite cold, even though connected by a corridor. The buffet featured a meat festival with various meats, but the taste was nothing special. The real highlight was the seafood, especially the seafood bowl. It was deliciously sticky. I was expecting crab, but it was only served in miso soup. The dairy products were delicious as expected. Soft serve ice cream would be a hit with families. It was disappointing that there were few options for alcohol. All in all, it was around 1,500 yen for all-you-can-drink Sapporo Draft beer, but I couldn't just drink beer. Thankfully, guests staying at The Resonare were given priority entry over the line.

The beef with haskap sauce was delicious, but I didn't like that it was cooked with a nose mask on. The scallops, octopus, and salmon sashimi were all tasty, especially the scallops. I wished they had prepared a sashimi plate. They had a wide variety of fried foods and Chinese dishes, but I couldn't eat them. It would be better if they were a bit cheaper and had smaller portions in two separate locations. The seating arrangement was disorganized with long lines even when there were empty seats. The checkout process was also slow with only one register. They need to come up with a better system.

Nininupuri is closer from RISONARE than from The Tower. It only takes 5 minutes from RISONARE to arrive. The venue is very spacious, and breakfast at Tomamu starts at 6:00. Today, the sea of clouds was canceled due to strong winds. I woke up at 4:30 and dashed to Nininupuri. I had the popular seafood bowl and French toast, and ended up eating too much. After enjoying the sea of clouds, we had breakfast at this restaurant, which is known for being the first to finish. Breakfast is buffet style with both Japanese and Western options. The famous dishes are the seafood bowl and French toast. I was a little disappointed because I thought I could make my own bowl, but there were still plenty of choices available. I used it for breakfast on the second day. The recommended Kaiho-don was fresh with ikura, giving it a firm and popping texture... truly felt like Hokkaido. The pancakes were also cooked right in front of me, and these two dishes are a must-try. It's difficult to try all the items on the menu, but I was completely satisfied from the morning. I visited for dinner. The photos didn't turn out well, but the food was delicious. They had a meat festival and a tuna seafood dish. Just like in other Hoshino Resorts Tomamu restaurants, each dish was carefully prepared. There was no sense of carelessness common in buffets. Also, they offer all-you-can-drink beer, which was delicious. I ended up drinking too much. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The price is resort level, but the menu is extensive and the food is delicious, so I was satisfied. I want to come back to eat the buffet here again. I want to keep getting endless refills of self-made seafood bowls. I was always full during my stay. lol

In July, we went on a family trip to Hokkaido, following up with a second trip in September with just the two of us. We visited Tomamu Hoshino Resort. The breakfast was incredibly generous and didn't feel like a typical morning meal. It was so much fun! However, I was a bit disappointed by the amount and quality of the salmon roe. It didn't seem like the real deal.

In July, my family went on a trip to Hokkaido, and now in September, my husband and I visited Tomamu Hoshino Resort. We couldn't get reservations at the restaurants we wanted to go to, so we ended up at Nininupuri. The buffet was a lot of fun, and I indulged in trying a bit of everything. There was also a meat festival happening, and I enjoyed the steak, even though it was thin. The lamb, however, had a strong smell and wasn't very tasty. The best part was the beer, which was all-you-can-drink for 1,000 to 1,500 yen. The illuminated night view around us was enchanting and beautiful. I think that was the highlight of the experience. I think families with young children would have a great time here, but even as an older person, I had a lot of fun. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Breakfast at Hoshino Resort Tomamu. I chose one of the three restaurants that seemed to offer a balanced meal. The interior was spacious and open, but the buffet area was not very large with a limited selection of items. I quickly made my choices, but was slightly disappointed as I had high expectations. I tried the following three recommended items: seafood bowl, melon, and French toast. The melon was a seasonal item, but it did not meet my expectations as it was not as sweet as I had hoped. The seafood bowl was generous with a variety of seafood such as squid, salmon, and tobiko, but the flavors were a bit muted due to the marination. The French toast had a nice texture with a subtle sweetness and a hint of egg flavor. I also tried cold udon noodles, steamed vegetables, and peach jelly, which were all decent. Overall, the breakfast seemed to cut costs, but it was convenient to have a variety of options for my infant daughter. I may try a different restaurant next time.

It was a plan with breakfast included, so my wife and I discussed where to go. We decided to go a little further from the Tower Hotel. My wife said it's a bit far and there are fewer customers, so it seems like we can relax here. We took the elevator from our room to the first floor and walked down a long corridor for about 10 minutes until we arrived. The restaurant was spacious, like a typical buffet at a ski resort hotel. I chose a Western-style breakfast with bread as the main dish. My son and wife were tempted by the salmon and salmon roe bowl, so they went for Japanese food. The French toast, with plenty of eggs and light cream, was delicious. The other dishes were average. My son said the salmon and salmon roe bowl was disappointing because the salmon roe was too firm, maybe due to overcooking. The atmosphere and menu composition of this buffet were better than other hotels, but overall it was just okay.

I agreed with the morning buffet. It is located in the forest and the location is lovely. However, there are many points to nitpick. First of all, the buffet layout is confusing for customers, there is no space to place the trays, making it difficult to pick up food. As a result, there are a lot of spills, and my appetite was slightly affected. The wooden spoons, while part of the concept, make it difficult to eat, and from a nature conservation perspective, it feels a bit awkward. The food overall is mediocre, but the seafood bowl with salmon, ikura, and turban shell stands out. The turban shell adds a nice touch and pairs well with the rice from the pot. I wish the miso soup and other flavors were also enhanced. It feels like they are trying too hard to be unique. Overall, it was a decent meal.
