I came seeking for some yakitori-like food from a 300-step alleyway from Hakata Station. To start off, I ordered three types: pork belly for 254 yen, with a crispy texture and a burst of deliciousness; bonjiri for 210 yen, tasting like pudding with a delicious fat that pops in your mouth; and mozzarella cheese bacon wrap for 319 yen, with a perfect combination of melty cheese and crispy bacon. The deliciousness got me excited, so I added an order of umeshiso-grilled chicken breast for 319 yen, which was tender with a light plum flavor, and a torotoro chicken cartilage skewer for 210 yen, which was absolutely amazing. I was surprised by how tender the cartilage was. Delicious! I also had pig's feet for 430 yen, which was another masterpiece with crispy skin, tender meat, and flavorful fat. It's been a while since I've had such delicious yakitori. Don't underestimate this chain restaurant near the station - the grilling is superb, with a smoky charcoal aroma, crispy exterior, and juicy interior. Everything was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

Arrived in Hakata in the afternoon, but all the lunch places were already closed. Decided to have a beer first and snack on some yakitori. It was unusual to find a yakitori place open for lunch. Ordered pork skewers, chicken thigh with diced onions (name unknown), beef kalbi skewers, tsukune, and buttered potato skewers. The pork skewers were thin but tasty. Next was the chicken thigh with diced onions, which seemed to be frozen and diced before being skewered - not really necessary. The beef kalbi skewers looked delicious on display, but the meat shrunk quite a bit after cooking. However, the flavor was good. The buttered potato skewers came with butter and salty seasoning on top. Finally, the tsukune took the longest to cook - it was delicious, and I wanted another one but didn't have time. It was a pleasant surprise to find a charcoal-grilled yakitori place in a facility like this.

This is a review of the famous yakitori restaurant Hachibei located near Hakata Station in the 300 Yatai Alley. I wanted to try Hachibei once, so I used the Fukuoka premium electronic voucher NexPay. The yakitori was delicious. However, the prices are high. The price does not match the taste. Be careful as the prices listed on Tabelog are significantly higher.

This shop is famous in Hakata, isn't it? I managed to get a seat when I visited it right after it opened, but it seems that reservations are a must. The shop is located in a newly built underground area right near Hakata Station. It took me a while to find it as it's in a corner with several other shops (laughs). The food wasn't bad, but honestly, I was a bit skeptical about the reputation as a popular shop. Especially the chicken skin was so tough and chewy that I couldn't bite through it (bitter smile). The person who took me there even said, "Sorry, this place isn't good today, let's go somewhere else." But regardless of the food, being able to drink with this person is a happiness in life. So, we decided to head to the next shop.

Delicious yakitori restaurant! I had been to Hachibei for the first time at Solaria Plaza, and this time I went to the one in the 300 Steps Alley near Hakata Station. It's easy to get a seat even if it's quite crowded for solo diners. The cabbage is all-you-can-eat, and since the yakitori takes a bit of time, I made sure to order right away. I enjoyed a quick meal and then headed home. They also have Hakata vegetable skewers. My favorite is the sukiyaki skewer, but everything is delicious no matter what you order.

I don't usually go to izakayas, but the nights in Hakata are different. It feels like everything, from motsunabe to sukiyaki to yakitori, is gathered in this city. I came to a recommended yakitori restaurant because I was craving for yakitori. The yakitori was cooked perfectly and delicious. The cream cheese marinated in soy sauce was so good that it made me crave for shochu. The food just kept coming - corn tempura, crunchy cartilage, and gobo tempura with curry powder. The night in Hakata was truly wonderful. Thank you for the feast!

I'm visiting this place in Hakata for the fourth time, for some reason it always makes me want to come back. They don't have a lunch menu, so be careful if you plan to visit during the day as they serve the same menu as in the evening. It's a great place for day drinking. It tends to get crowded early in the evening, so I recommend arriving around 9 pm. They have a wide variety of sushi prepared, so even if you come late, you can still enjoy most of their offerings. Tonight, I'm drinking alone again, but this place never disappoints with its delicious food and cost performance.

My friend who knows a lot about Hakata recommended a delicious yakitori place to me. In Fukuoka, yakitori restaurants often serve more pork skewers than chicken ones, which is quite different from Kansai's pork skewers. The pork skewers in Fukuoka seem to be less greasy. My friend's favorite dish there is the fried edamame. It was truly delicious with a deep flavor and authentic taste. The sesame hamachi was also impressive with its thick yet crispy texture. I really like the sesame dishes in Hakata. I wish they had served white rice too. Fukuoka not only offers delicious ramen, gyoza, hot pot, sesame mackerel, and sushi, but also amazing yakitori. I will definitely come back again.

A popular restaurant where you can drop by casually. It was packed even in the evening, so I had to wait a bit to get a table. While you can enjoy main dishes, I personally think it's great for a light drink. When I ordered the grilled corn skewers, I was surprised to see them lightly pureed and fried. Anyway, thank you for treating me. It was a delicious meal.

I went on a sudden trip to Fukuoka prefecture with my husband for his business trip. It's a place I love and used to visit often before the pandemic. Seeing the familiar sights of Hakata Station after a few years made my heart swell with joy. We arrived around 8 pm on Friday and had dinner at Yahei, a lively restaurant located in a back alley 300 steps from the station. We enjoyed dishes like sesame amberjack, salt-grilled pork belly, grilled intestines, chicken skin, and chicken wings. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and attentive. It was a fun and enjoyable dinner.

Since the opening, this has been my favorite place to visit, and even after moving, I make sure to stop by when I come to Hakata for sightseeing. On my recent visit, I noticed that the staff were unfamiliar faces, which made me feel a little lonely. My favorite grill chef had also moved to the Lalaport store. I ordered the usual chicken skin, pork belly, liver, tsukune, tebasaki, and the new menu item, cartilage. When the chicken skin arrived and I took a bite, I was surprised! The outside was burnt, but the inside was cold. It seems like they fry it before grilling, so I don't think it will make you sick, but it was still not tasty. The other items were also lacking in flavor, and overall, it was disappointing. Due to a shortage of staff and lack of training, the quality has declined. I remember being shocked when they changed from the amazing chicken black skin to regular chicken skin, and now this decline in quality is truly lamentable. It made me realize that even renowned restaurants can deteriorate over time.

There is a row of stalls about a 300-step walk from the station, where various shops are lined up. Despite going after 5 pm to avoid the crowds, everywhere was packed and I barely managed to find two empty seats at the counter. The menu offered the option to order yakitori starting from 2 skewers. I ordered pork belly, gizzard, tsukune, thigh meat, sesame marinated amberjack, daikon tempura, edamame tempura, corn tempura, and a bottle of beer. The food was served relatively quickly. The yakitori was okay, the thigh meat and daikon tempura were delicious. The edamame and corn tempura felt like mashed and fried. The service felt rushed as if they wanted us to order drinks quickly. I don't think I'll be going back for a second visit.

Very popular restaurant. Around 5 pm on Saturday, there was a 30-minute wait. More and more people kept coming in after me. I think everything I ordered was delicious, so this is a great place to eat. It's conveniently located near the station, so I can see why it's so popular.

Before heading to the airport for a business trip to Fukuoka, I went to JP Kitte to look for a lunch spot. The local eateries on the underground or upper floors were all crowded, so I went further down to the basement where there was a cluster of izakayas. And there it was, the famous restaurant Yaebei. Even though I still had work to do and couldn't drink, I decided to sit down without hesitation. I had the chef's choice set of 5 skewers, chicken rice, and chicken soup. Fukuoka's yakitori is delicious, but pork belly is still the best. The tender and juicy meat is hard to describe, but it's just so tasty. It's definitely a full house at night, so having a lunch drink here during the day is also a good idea. Thank you for the meal. I will visit again.

My favorite is the potato with butter and salt topping. What? Not yakitori? My favorite was sold out, haha. The vinegar marinated pork intestines portion was surprisingly large. The skewers were delicious though. But pork might be tastier than chicken.

I didn't know there was a place like this underground at Hakata Station, just 300 steps away. I'll definitely be coming back. There are great drinking spots not only in Tenjin, but also at Hakata Station. Each individual shop is wonderful too. I got so drunk that I forgot to take photos. But I was happy to discover another spot where I can get drunk at Hakata Station.

Hakata Station store is open for lunchtime, which is great! My husband wanted to have a drink during the day, while I wanted to eat yakitori after a long time. So, we decided to visit this place to meet both of our needs. We always get excited no matter how many times we come here. ★Our order included: - Pork belly with salt x2 - Chicken skin x2 - Chicken liver x2 - Chicken breast with plum and shiso leaf - Chicken wings with salt - Freshly fried thick fried tofu - Kashiwa rice - Grilled rice ball with tea pickles 583 yen - The Premium Malt's beer - Red wine glass ※You can order a minimum of 2 skewers for each item. Everything was delicious! One tasty skewer after another. The grilling technique is truly professional. Although I usually think "chicken liver" is the best, I only had one piece on this day (due to being pregnant). We finished with Kashiwa rice and grilled rice ball with tea pickles. I usually choose the grilled rice ball, but decided to try something different this time. The Kashiwa rice came with soup and warmed me up. The grilled rice ball was fragrant and had a gentle, easy-to-eat taste. There were quite a few people drinking alone. It's a great place where even women can easily come in alone.

I went out with a friend for a "Hakata bar hopping" experience, starting with beer at DEAN & DELUCA and then craving for yakitori for the second round, which led us to this place. It's conveniently located right next to Hakata Station and was bustling even on a weekday. Since we were already a bit tipsy from the first place, I don't have menu photos, but I remember ordering a great value set of 5 skewers and the famous fried edamame skewers from Hachihei. We also had refreshing lemon sours made with fresh lemon and honey, perfect for chatting and enjoying the drinks. We added quail eggs, yam potato, and a hot plate of mozzarella bacon, all for just a little over 3000 yen per person. For the quality and taste we got at this place, it's definitely a reasonable price. The food was so delicious that I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I visited the counter to have a drink alone. It was around 5 pm on the weekend and the restaurant was almost full. The staff were young and energetic, which left a good impression! I ordered a draft beer and vinegar motsu as a snack, which arrived quickly. The vinegar motsu was quite a generous portion for one person! It had a slightly strong sour taste, but it made for a good snack. I also ordered some skewers. Although the menu stated a minimum order of 2 skewers, it seemed that you could order just 1 if you were dining alone. I ordered chicken, chicken skin, tsukune (chicken meatballs), mozzarella bacon, and pork belly skewers. Unfortunately, the gizzard skewer was sold out. The chicken skewer (salt) was juicy and flavorful. The chicken skin skewer (with sauce) was crispy on the outside and delicious. The sauce was rich and paired well with beer. The tsukune skewer (with sauce) was standard but tasty, with a rich sauce that also went well with beer. The mozzarella bacon skewer was a simple dish. The pork belly skewer (salt) was thicker than at other places, offering a satisfying bite. Finally, I ordered a highball and some fried chicken to finish off. The fried chicken was spicy and juicy, pairing perfectly with the highball! There are many counter seats, and the location is great for solo or duo dining. The area is lively with no walls separating the different restaurants (offering gyoza, seafood, beef tongue, etc.), making it a fun place to try different things. Enjoying a little bit of everything in this area through bar hopping can be a great experience.

Nowadays, there are more and more Hakata yakitori restaurants popping up all over the country. However, there are many delicious dishes that can only be found in Hakata, and this place does a great job of showcasing them! It's convenient to be able to enter without getting wet from the station too! It was recommended to many different people... If you go to Hakata, it's definitely worth a repeat visit!

The other day, I visited Yakitori Yashichi in Hakata Station, which I found out about from Hachibei-san, and it was delicious. I sat at the open counter seat between two couples. The cabbage was 220 yen, the bottled beer was 630 yen, the tare bara was 209 yen, the yotsumi was 209 yen, the seseri was 209 yen, the asparagus wrapped in pork was 319 yen, the potato salad was 748 yen, the bonjiri was 209 yen, the sunazuri was 209 yen, the cheese roll was 319 yen each (ordered 2), and the highball was 480 yen. The total came to 4,191 yen. All the yakitori was juicy and delicious, but my favorite was the cheese roll. With good value for money, it's perfect for daytime drinking on holidays!
