They were flexible in accommodating last minute changes in the number of people, and the room was open and private on the second floor. This time, we had a private room behind the wall with a good amount of skewers that retained the natural taste of the meat. The pork shabu-shabu also had a generous portion. The all-you-can-drink option was reasonably priced.

It was my first visit and I ordered a la carte! I saw that they also offer all-you-can-drink options on the menu! The seat I was guided to was a loft seat for 5 people, which was great for me as I have back pain and sitting on tatami mats is tough. All orders were done through a smartphone ordering system. It seems to be increasing lately due to the pandemic. The dishes were all delicious with perfect seasoning! It's located a bit away from Ohashi Station, but it's worth a visit! It's not easy to find all-you-can-eat yakitori! Next time, I definitely want to try their course menu! Thank you very much.

It's been a while since my last visit. I used this place for a company drinking party. They had a 4000 yen all-you-can-drink course. The edamame, salad, and sesame marinated bonito were okay. The pork belly and gizzards were decently sized and quite tasty. The chicken thigh simmered in yuzu flavor was delicious! The fried rice was also very good. For dessert, we had sesame pudding. Towards the end, my memory is a bit hazy, and I forgot to take photos. I'm not a big fan of izakayas, but this place turned out to be a good find. Thank you for the meal.

(April 1, 2022) Since 2015, the yakitori restaurant "Jiyu Tori" has opened a new specialty shop with a new name, specializing in chicken nanban called "Chicken Nanban Laboratory". The shop, with a large noren with "Chicken Nanban" written in black on a colored background, gives off a West Coast vibe with its white shabby paint on the interior and furniture. Although it was originally a yakitori restaurant, I almost forgot when I visited. For lunch, there are no menus, but order forms are provided on the table for "Chicken Nanban and Vegetable Miso Soup Set" and "Chicken Nanban Sandwich Set". After ordering, the "Chicken Nanban and Vegetable Miso Soup Set" arrived in about 5 minutes, surprising me with its generous portion. I chose 4 pieces of chicken nanban, each weighing around 70-80g, and enjoyed the juicy chicken thigh meat soaked in sweet vinegar. The homemade tartar sauce, available in four flavors including extreme, mentaiko, curry, and spicy, allowed me to choose two, and I opted for "spicy" and "mentaiko". Both were delicious and paired well with the sweet vinegar from the nanban. I also ordered the large serving of miso soup with pork, daikon, carrots, burdock root, konjac, lotus root, and fried tofu, which was tasty with its sweet white miso base and a variety of vegetables. It was a satisfying meal with nearly 300g of chicken nanban and a variety of vegetables in the miso soup.

I thought I was getting Heartland draft beer, but ended up with Super Dry, which I don't like, so I was disappointed. The main motsunabe dish felt like it was lacking a bit of pre-boiling and I didn't enjoy it. The sesame pudding dessert was delicious though.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice! Some people may find it slightly expensive in terms of cost performance, but every dish was delicious. If I had one wish, it would be to have a few more items added to the menu.

I was intrigued by the resort-like atmosphere as I passed by, so I finally decided to go! I ordered the course meal, which was delicious, but it wasn't quite to my taste. The staff were enthusiastic and very kind, but I found it a bit embarrassing. I prefer a quieter and more gentle atmosphere...maybe it's my age showing. I couldn't drink too much because I felt a bit tense, so next time I go out, I'll order à la carte. I'm looking forward to the wide variety on the menu.

The grilled chicken was delicious! I received plenty of chicken tail skewers and there were many other menu options which was great! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice and I would love to go back again.

Free Bird → Freebird!! I heard that it is a concept store inspired by the West Coast! There are palm trees outside, creating a great atmosphere. The interior of the store is stylish and unified. The predominantly white interior creates a cafe-like space. There were mostly women inside the store, although a group of three men in suits seemed a bit out of place haha. The sashimi platter, starting at 500 yen per person (serves two), was quite generous and fresh. The Festibara, over 30 centimeters long, also made a big impression! And halfway through, when you go to the toilet... you'll see something surprising! If you visit, you'll understand haha.

I had always wanted to go to this restaurant, which is a sister store of one I often visit, but I never had the chance to go to Ohashi. Finally, I made a reservation at Freebird at 7:00 pm, and it was almost fully booked. I ended up sitting at the counter since that was the only available space. I ordered the 500 yen driftwood platter, which was a great deal! It was a stylish dish that was enjoyable to look at. I also ordered skewers and beef liver, which were delicious. However, I was a bit disappointed because even though I ordered the bagna cauda, it never came, and there was a mistake with one of the skewers. The restaurant was too noisy for my liking, but the taste and presentation of the dishes were good. Thank you for the meal.

It seems like it was a venue for my father's drinking party, and I received sesame pudding as a souvenir. The moment I opened the lid, a nice sesame scent filled the air. You can also pour the included caramel over it, but I prefer to eat it as it is. The smooth texture and the aroma of sesame linger in the nose. It's a bit pricey at 280 yen each, but it was delicious!

I had been curious about this place as I passed by often. It's a restaurant targeted towards young people, so I went with two young friends to try out the "Negi Shabu Course" for three people that we had reserved in advance. It was a 4000 yen course with all-you-can-drink, so I thought it would be relatively light, but it turned out to be unexpectedly substantial. Recently, there are quite a few places serving negi shabu, but it's easy to eat and feels healthy. Here, the dipping sauce was served separately. We started with a sashimi platter with 4 types of fish, and 5 types of yakitori. Particularly, the lightly seared chicken breast and tsukune were good. After enjoying the negi shabu with plenty of vegetables and protein, we had a simple porridge for the finish (it was a bit disappointing that there were no noodles, but the broth here is quite flavorful, so I think it would go well with thin udon). Lastly, we had sesame pudding for dessert, which was also rich and delicious. The regular all-you-can-drink option, where you can have Heartland beer, adds to the value.

I was surprised when I arrived in front of the restaurant! There was a small sandy beach, glass walls, and a huge ventilation fan... Truly like a yakitori restaurant on the West Coast! When I opened the normal door and entered the inside of the restaurant, I was in shock! It truly felt like I was overseas. The inside of the restaurant was bustling and a bit noisy, but the driftwood platter was very delicious. Even though I usually don't like tuna, I enjoyed it here. The skewers were impactful, the portions were generous, and it was a great experience. There were some unique flavors and the atmosphere of the restaurant was lively, definitely worth a visit. Give it a try at least once. You won't regret it. The only downside was that some dishes made my hands dirty, so I wished they provided napkins. Asking for a wet towel felt a bit awkward. Other than that, it was excellent. The hidden door amidst the confusion was a nice touch. Look for it and try it out! This is my first review on Tabelog and Freebird's first post.

A while ago, I went to "Jiyu Tori," which opened in Ohashi. The theme is the west coast of America, but the open and stylish interior feels more like dining at an Italian restaurant than a yakitori place. The seating capacity is a whopping 110 seats! Spacious! The young owner, Mr. Ito, also owns the affiliated restaurant "Chinpunkanpun Haruyoshi-ten." By the way, this place is an affiliate of "Chinpunkanpun" in Haruyoshi. The appetizer for the day was chawanmushi. The "Nagaregi Mori" (assorted sashimi) was quite impressive in person, despite being hard to convey in photos. The tamagoyaki was spicy with chili peppers, but personally, I liked it. The Itojima Farm Bagna Cauda was super cute. The seared liver, a specialty menu item from Chinpunkanpun, can also be enjoyed here. Highly recommended! The seared heart is another must-try dish. If you can finish a super spicy wiener in one go, it's free, and you also get free ice cream! Probably impossible, but worth a try.
