Inari Sushi in Mino Onohara. Visited with family. Tables are a bit cramped for four people. The atmosphere inside was a bit noisy and distracting. Some items were sold out by 7:30 pm on a Sunday. The taste was okay, but slightly on the expensive side for what you get.

When dining out with kids, revolving sushi is a popular choice. However, if you're looking for something more satisfying than 100 yen sushi, I recommend Gatten Sushi. While they do have some 100 yen options, most of their sushi is of higher quality. Their items like conger eel sushi and premium tuna are a cut above typical 100 yen sushi. But, there are some dishes that might make you think, "Is this worth the price?" Overall, dining here for around 3,000 to 4,000 yen per person can leave you feeling quite satisfied. Thank you for the meal!

I visited a sushi restaurant called Gatten Sushi for the first time. Recently, 100 yen conveyor belt sushi restaurants have been decreasing, so I decided to try a non-100 yen conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I ordered various items such as whelk for 270 yen, red shrimp with crab miso for 380 yen, conger eel for 580 yen, fatty tuna roll for 270 yen, fatty mackerel for 150 yen, squid for 150 yen, assorted squid for 270 yen, red snapper for 270 yen, bonito for 200 yen, shrimp for 200 yen, seared salmon with fried leeks for 270 yen, seared eel for 380 yen, and sea urchin battleship sushi for 630 yen. I tried different items and realized that it's different from 100 yen sushi. Some items were worth the price, like the red snapper which was chewy and flavorful. However, some items made me think that they could be a bit better for the price. The sea urchin battleship sushi was served cold, which I didn't appreciate. I hope they serve it at room temperature in the future. My personal favorite of the day was the red snapper. Thank you for the meal!

I bought some bread at my favorite bakery "Sunny Side" and then had lunch at a restaurant I've been curious about, "Is no Gatenten Sushi." The new bread from "Sunny Side" was delicious with a special touch. Looking back, I should have eaten the freshly baked bread there. Here are six points of focus for the sushi restaurant: 1. A variety of fresh ingredients sourced daily 2. Freshly prepared sushi made in-house 3. Specialty! Grilled seafood cooked right in front of you 4. Carefully selected ingredients 5. Proudly offering distinctive dishes 6. The motto is "Gatenten understood!" The restaurant interior is flashy, lively, and not very calming. The counter seats have acrylic sheets for COVID-19 prevention, but what about the self-service area? They offer complimentary miso soup and red miso soup for lunch. The tables have cups and small plates, but I wish they were placed on the side away from where people walk. There are two types of soy sauce available, "Gatenten Sushi Soy Sauce" and "Tamari-style soy sauce," as well as ponzu sauce. Orders are placed using a tablet, but it can be challenging to find the items on the menu on the tablet. I got some miso soup from the self-service area, which was warm but a bit bland. I ordered the squid with yuzu salt, which had a bit too much salt but was within an acceptable range. The yellowtail had a weak vinegar flavor and a slight fishy smell, but it was okay. The clam assortment had clam, red clam, and scallop, with the scallop being particularly delicious. The cod milt gunkan was creamy and melted in the mouth, with a nice touch of chili ponzu sauce. The shrimp and avocado sushi had an excessive amount of mayonnaise, overpowering the taste of the shrimp and avocado. The tuna belly sushi had a dull color and lacked the usual sweetness and umami flavor. Despite all the criticisms, I may have eaten a lot because I was hungry and ordered too much.

During regular lunch hours, they offer all-you-can-eat miso soup and red miso soup, which is a great deal. It's an additional 200 yen during non-lunch hours, but it's still affordable. Around 1 pm, it's relatively quiet. You order using a touch screen, and they are quick to respond. The interior is clean and cozy. The fried oysters I had were a bit lacking, but overall, it was a good meal.

I had some extra time because my classes were irregular that day, so I decided to go for lunch. I found a place where I could have unlimited servings of fish soup and red miso soup, which made me happy. The fish soup was delicious with lots of fish in it, and it felt like a good deal. It was a weekday but the place was full, so I had to wait a bit. It seems to be quite popular.

Onohara Gatent Sushi flavor is hmm... fishy and wasabi spicy. I was surprised that the rating was unexpectedly high! I probably won't visit again, especially since I couldn't eat much due to feeling unwell (lol). The sliced raw fish and steamed egg custard were delicious! Personally, I prefer Nagajiro over this revolving sushi place in this area. :)

Hello, I'm Okura. I heard that there is a sushi chain called Gatendo Sushi that expands from Kinki to the east, and I came to Minoh City in Osaka Prefecture. Unlike the typical 100 yen sushi, this place is rumored to be even more delicious. Another feature is that you can help yourself to red miso soup and clear soup. Sounds delicious. I love food establishments with a passion. The tuna red meat, edge, and conger eel, among other common menu items, seem to have good quality toppings. The shari and original soy sauce are also part of the fun of local sushi. The edge wasabi has a nice kick to it. The kids' sushi comes in a set of 4 pieces, which is less than half the size of a normal serving. The popular seared sushi is also delicious. Many people seem to love the fatty tuna the most. Here we have the adult something roll (I forgot the name). It has a nice kick of wasabi. I hope they continue to work hard while maintaining their quality without expanding nationwide. This might be a local sushi enthusiast's opinion.

I wanted to try a rotating sushi restaurant with a variety of options for lunch on a weekday. Due to the pandemic, it was not crowded and I was seated right away. They didn't have some of the recommended dishes like fried flounder or mackerel sushi. Overall, the food was a bit salty. The mackerel was delicious though. The restaurant was small, so in terms of cost performance, I might prefer Hamazushi or Sushiro. The total bill was 2,761 yen for 1 Fuji plate at 150 yen, 4 navy plates at 200 yen each, 1 silver plate at 270 yen, 1 fireworks plate at 380 yen, and 1 red plate at 330 yen. My companion said he wouldn't come back.

The restaurant has more table seats than counter seats, and the staff are very energetic. The sushi pieces are on the larger side, and the rice is soft and easy to eat. It's a bit disappointing that the wasabi container takes a while to arrive. The total cost for two people was 2,409 yen.

If you're going to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, start with Nagajiro and then go to Gatensushi. Lately, my daughter has been loving the seared sushi at Gatensushi, so Gatensushi is the favorite. Everything tastes delicious in my opinion. It's bright and lively, and sometimes the staff's loud voices can be surprising. They are quite enthusiastic (laughs) and they often interact with customers. In the past, there were order forms, and my daughter enjoyed writing down her orders and handing them in. Recently, iPads have been introduced, so there is no need for order exchanges, making the payment process speedy. There is a lack of personal interaction with the staff, but it is definitely convenient, and that's the way things are these days. My favorites are mackerel sushi on a stick and battleship sushi with sea eel and wasabi. I look forward to the seasonal menu items. And I always have soft serve ice cream as a dessert.

I went for lunch on a weekday, so I was able to eat free fish head soup! The soup had a good fish flavor and plenty of fish heads. I was very satisfied! I recommend going for lunch on a weekday. There were always customers coming in.
