In the backstreets of Kanda Higashi-Konyamachi, eight octagonal crystal kaleidoscopes are shining beautifully in the light. This is Tower8, a piano bar where live music and accompaniment are performed. Previously located along Kanda Kanamono Street in Kaji-cho, Tower8 moved to this new location in December 2021. The stylish and chic interior is spacious and exudes an adult atmosphere. The stage with a piano and the bar counter add to the ambiance. The owner, Mama, is the singer-songwriter and fortune teller Maio Yashiro, who is even mentioned on Wikipedia. When I happened to pass by and saw the beautiful lighting of the shop, I was drawn inside and warmly welcomed by Mama. There are seven seats at the L-shaped counter in the back, where regular customers were enjoying their drinks, so I sat at a table near the front and ordered a highball. The charms included mini chocolates, rice crackers, and cocoa pie. If you request, they will perform live piano music for you. Furthermore, you can sing along with Mama's piano accompaniment, which is very enjoyable. Unlike karaoke, the accompaniment follows you, making it even better. Additionally, you can even do your own piano sing-along. It's such a great experience! So, why not give it a try with "Honesty" (Billy Joel), for example? Since it's not your typical "sister" type of establishment, it's also suitable for discreet dates.
