Walking from Shin-Osaka to Tsukamoto on a cloudy day, I arrived at Tsukamoto just as heavy rain started pouring down. Around noon, I took a break at "Ramen Maruki" under the elevated JR Tsukamoto Station. I arrived around 11:30 a.m. and there were already 3 customers ahead of me, so I sat on the outdoor waiting chairs (4 chairs available) until the store opened in a few minutes. Inside the store, there was a ticket vending machine and hand sanitizer on the right side. I poured myself a glass of water and then handed my ticket to the staff. I ordered the ramen with a moderate amount of vegetables, a little garlic, and everything else normal. The ramen came with toppings like chashu, lard, garlic, cabbage, bean sprouts, and onions, served with slightly soft straight noodles in a pork bone soy sauce broth. Mixing the vegetables, noodles, and soup together, the garlic flavor was subtle and the taste was gentle and delicious. The soup was mild, possibly due to the moisture from the vegetables. The cabbage was cut into easy-to-eat sizes. I finished the ramen while adjusting the taste with shichimi. The menu includes ramen, spicy ramen, salt ramen, tsukemen, and soupless ramen, with free toppings like garlic, onions, vegetables, lard, and chili oil, available in different amounts. There are also condiments like pepper, shichimi, and soy sauce on the table. The counter had 9 seats with partitions, managed by 2 male staff members. The customers were coming in steadily, mostly young people. As for a side note, when I initially asked for a moderate amount of vegetables, the staff warned me that even a little extra would be quite a lot, so I ended up choosing a quantity between normal and a little extra, which turned out to be just right as I was extremely full after finishing the meal. The staff always double-checked with customers who ordered extra or extra extra vegetables to ensure they were aware of the large portion.
