From Osaka's Hankyu Takarazuka Line, transfer to the Minoh Line and get off at Minoh Station. When you hear "Ikari Super," you think of a high-end supermarket. Originating in Hyogo Prefecture, Ikari Super has locations in Hyogo, northern Osaka, and Kyoto. It is known for its high-quality food products, catering to the sophisticated tastes of Kobe, Ashiya, and North Osaka residents. The Ikari Super logo on their paper bags is a status symbol, alongside Hankyu Department Store's floral paper bags. The first Ikari Super store opened in 1961, with the Minoh store being the 8th location in 1985. My aunt, who lives in Minoh City, loves this supermarket and often walks there to shop. She once gave me the Ikari Super original brand pork bun, which was delicious. The bun had a glossy, chewy skin and a juicy, flavorful filling without being greasy. It was a delightful B-class gourmet experience. I will definitely visit Ikari Super myself next time to try more of their offerings.

(October 2015) This classic baguette made with sake lees completely exceeded my previous expectations! I wonder if using sake lees gives it a cheese-like flavor. Lately, I've noticed other shops using it too. It's dense and packed, with a crispy crust. Delicious! I enjoyed it with Ikari Maid's fresh butter, which is salted, so be careful not to use too much as it can be a bit overwhelming. It would be great with a slightly sweet bread. (September 2015) Ikari's bread comes in varieties made in the factory and baked in-store. This time, I bought the factory-made ones in Minoh, so I'll share my thoughts here. I got Roland white bread and salted butter bread, both containing butter. The salted butter bread also has shortening. The white bread is a slightly rich, creamy bread, perfect for toasting. Maybe simple is best? The salted butter bread has a soft dough with a sweet topping, filled with salted butter cream. It's quite tasty for a sweet bread. The side dishes from Tanukian have been consistently good and reliable. For detox water, I bought New Zealand lemons that are mold-free and safe to eat the peel, at a reasonable price of around 100 yen each (in a pack of two). Ikari's food is carefully selected, so you can trust their products without needing to check the ingredients label on the back of the package.

Many people may not know, but there are breads made inside Ikari Supermarket in Minoh (*☻-☻*) It's quite surprising for a supermarket, right? Not many people may expect it. It would be nice to have more reviews. My usual favorite is ⚫️ Garlic Rusk, around 300 yen for about 15 pieces. It's great to top it with various ingredients and enjoy. ⚫️ Cranberry, Raisin, and Walnut Bread This bread has leveled up recently. Today, I also bought an Apple Pie, Anpan, and Baguette. ⚫️ New release: Cranberry, Raisin, and Walnut Bread (*☻-☻*) with Cream Cheese This new version of the cranberry, raisin, and walnut bread has cream cheese inside, making it slimmer and with a slightly firmer outer layer. Ikari Supermarket has a variety of food items at reasonable prices, not everything is perfect, but there are many delicious ingredients and new discoveries. It has a crispy texture and a strong wheat flavor that comes through beautifully. ·Soy milk refreshing bread This healthy bread with soy milk has a light texture. It's not too sweet and has a crispy rather than moist texture. It's not too strong, so it goes well with simple toast or other dishes.
