I used this restaurant for a study group members' drinking party. It was my first time using it, but I remember the old name was "Kura-In ZONE." I think there used to be a place called Kura-In on the west side over 10 years ago. That place was quite stylish, and this one was amazing too. Even though it was a men-only drinking party, it had a vibe that was very popular with women. It felt like there was a pond nearby. So, I think it's good for that kind of use. By the way, the food was of a very high standard and ranks high among the izakayas on the Chikushi side. You can add an all-you-can-drink option for an additional 1500 yen, which helps keep the cost down.
■Homemade Chawanmushi
It's cool that the chawanmushi is transparent. The era of eating with your eyes is over, huh? Well, I like chawanmushi, so I'm personally happy. The taste is gentle and nice, not too strong, which is more appealing to women (since many men tend to like strong flavors. *I'm okay with both strong and light flavors as long as it's delicious).
■Seasonal Fresh Vegetable Caesar Salad
When I ask the women what kind of salad they like, I feel like Caesar salad is probably the most popular (I feel like there are no izakayas near Hakata Station that don't have Caesar salad). I think it's because both the dressing and the vegetables need to be delicious. And here, both were good.
■Sashimi or Carpaccio
I think it was yellowtail. The carpaccio was firm and that was nice. Also, the spacing between the dishes was good, so you could pick up the food with chopsticks even without serving chopsticks.
■Today's Fried Dish
Personally, the best was this one. It was crispy, but more importantly, the delicious young corn was a sure thing.
■Ajo Blanco
Shrimp and eringi mushroom ajo blanco is another sure thing. A memorable quote from the junior colleague I was with was, "When I had ajo blanco for the first time, it was so delicious that I drank up the olive oil." The combination of garlic, chili pepper, and olive oil makes it incredibly delicious.
■Meat Dish
Specialty!! Itoshima pork and herb chicken straw-grilled. This is the main dish. It looks nice, and straw grilling is mainly for flavoring, as it's actually cooked normally (it's impossible to cook thoroughly with straw). Grilling chicken takes time, but if it's tasty chicken, it's OK.
■Rice
Seasonal clay pot cooked rice. This mixed rice at the end was also delicious. It was a nice finish. Thank you for the meal.
