Weekend Saturday, I set out on another food adventure, this time heading to Kirenaga Warabappo to have lunch at Bankara Udon. I purchased a one-day subway pass and planned to make various stops before enjoying a meal at Bankara Udon. I arrived at the restaurant and was able to find a seat easily since I had adjusted my lunchtime slightly. Just like my previous visits, I used the QR code to access the menu and place my order. I decided to go for the cold chicken egg curry udon again, but this time I ordered the large size (700g). When the dish arrived, I immediately noticed that the bowl was larger than the medium size (500g) I had before. It seemed about a size bigger, or so it appeared to me. I started by enjoying the chicken egg udon on its own, with the flavorful broth enhancing the dish. It was already delicious, but then I mixed in the curry to create curry udon. The curry had a Japanese twist with a good balance of spices, starting off sweet and gradually revealing a spicy kick. It's a sensation that I find irresistible. The udon had a firm texture with a good chewiness and smoothness, making it easy to swallow. After finishing the udon, I added the rice that came with it to create curry rice, which was a moment of pure bliss. Despite my initial apprehension about ordering the 700g portion, I managed to finish it without any problems. This summer, I might just find myself coming back for more of this cold chicken egg curry udon.

The atmosphere has changed so much that you wouldn't think it's the same layout as when it was Tenichi. You can order with your smartphone! The udon noodles have a firm texture and even a medium serving is gone in no time. The set with mixed rice is also delicious. You order from your seat with your smartphone, which is convenient for customizing, but if you don't want any customization, I'd prefer to order directly.

From the Osaka Metro Kire-Hashigo Station, just a short walk along the Nagai Park Street, you'll find a popular udon restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there is the entrance to a "secret member" restaurant. The exterior is calm with a black and white color scheme. The interior maintains a sense of populism with a unique atmosphere, featuring both a counter and tables. Orders are made through a QR code.
I chose the cold curry udon with chicken egg and a side of small rice, and it was the only choice after seeing the photo. After a few minutes of waiting, it arrived. The presentation was extravagant and the dish was huge. The taste was as impressive as the appearance, with the shining chicken egg being the highlight. The cold curry udon had a two-layered broth, with a gentle broth on top and a flavorful sauce underneath. I enjoyed the sauce first without mixing, and then thoroughly mixed it from the bottom to complete the cold curry udon. The thick, chewy noodles were delightful to eat. The small rice complemented the meal perfectly, especially when mixed with the broth and topped with tempura flakes. To put it simply, it was incredibly delicious, and I left the restaurant feeling fully satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

Visited the restaurant and ordered the recommended chilled sudachi, bukkake udon, and tamago kake gohan. The tamago kake gohan was delicious. The main dish, the udon, had a great texture and the noodles were nicely chilled without being slimy. However, when chewing the noodles, they felt a bit powdery, and I found the bukkake sauce to be lacking. I would like to visit again to try their hot udon next time.

Hirano-ku is home to the famous Manzara Udon Inakko-san, located right by Kirei Urawa Station. Originally known for its gourmet burgers featured in manga, it was the only place in Japan to have such a reputation. It later transformed into an udon restaurant, and when I visited, it had a calm atmosphere. The interior was clean and stylish, not your typical udon shop. Throughout the restaurant, there were introductions to the passion for udon and the high-quality ingredients used. Ordering was convenient through a QR code on your smartphone, with a wide variety of menu options making it hard to decide. I chose cold udon, opting for a regular size which turned out to be a whopping 400g! They even offered a free upgrade to a 500g size during lunchtime. After a short wait, my udon arrived, looking incredibly delicious. The broth, the hot spring egg, the chewiness of the noodles, everything was perfect. The udon was made from 100% domestically produced wheat, giving it a wonderful aroma. The chicken tempura and pointed fish cake tempura were huge and crispy, bursting with flavor. It was so delicious that I finished it in no time, realizing that udon is like a drink. It was a truly perfect Sanuki udon experience in Hirano-ku, using high-quality ingredients without hesitation and mastering them in the best way possible. It felt like it was too good for the price. Thank you for this amazing udon. Next time, I'll try the udon with dried fish stock or challenge myself with a larger size!

The entrance to the restaurant is called "Kame Log," which used to be managed by FC Tenichi. I ordered the cold udon, which comes in a small size of 200g. The order is placed through mobile order, and the udon is cooked after the order is taken, so it may take some time. The udon was chewy and smooth, with a refreshing taste. There seems to be a secret room in the back that only VIPs can enter. It also mentioned Korean cuisine, which piqued my interest.

Located right near Kizureguaiba Station, a new udon restaurant has opened at the former Tenka Ippin location. I visited for the first time in a while and decided to post a review. The interior layout is similar to Tenka Ippin's, but it has been significantly cleaned up. Orders are placed through scanning a QR code on LINE and using a smartphone. I ordered the Chicken Tempura Tartar Set with meat topping on top of the noodles. You can choose from kake, bukkake, or curry udon (for an additional ¥100), and the portion size can be upgraded for free. The meal included udon, chicken tempura tartar, salad, pickles, white rice, and a soft-boiled egg for ¥1,150 (tax included). Considering the portion size, the price doesn't seem too high. The noodles were firm and had a chewy texture, which was delicious. However, the bukkake broth was a bit too refined for my taste. Next time, I'll try the warm broth or curry. The meat topping cost an additional ¥550 and was a bit tough, so I might skip it next time. But the chicken tempura was tasty, and if you find a favorite dish, this authentic and delicious udon restaurant is worth a visit. I plan to try out various menu items in the coming weeks.

I had the Chicken Tempura Tartar Set at the countryside udon restaurant Banaku Udon. I chose the kake (small) and kake (small) +100 yen option to upgrade to curry with four pieces of chicken tempura, onsen tamago, white rice, salad, and pickles included for 1150 yen (tax included). The udon, similar to Sanuki udon, had a chewy texture and a deliciously fragrant broth. The tartar sauce was light and didn't overpower the udon, and the pickles added a nice touch.

I visited this place for a drink.
- Location: It used to be where Tenichi was located, and I remember there was a King Shou restaurant there in the past.
- Interior: The place has a clean and upscale feel, not like a typical udon restaurant.
- Order: I ordered the katsu udon in large size.
- Taste: The soup was gentle and the noodles were chewy, which was a nice combination after drinking.
- Impression: The broth was delicious with a gentle flavor. I later found out they also serve cold udon, which I enjoy, so I regret not trying that.

Located just a 1-minute walk from Kire-Uriwari Station on the Osaka Metro Tanamachi Line in Hirano-ku, Kireno, "Banku Udon Inaka-kko" is a new udon restaurant that opened on March 19, 2023. The entrance leads to a narrow front with counter seats on both sides and table seats at the back, creating a spacious layout. I was seated at the counter seats and ordered the "Tororo Tamabukkake Udon" for 950 yen. The udon was beautifully presented with plenty of grated nagaimo, onsen tamago, green onions, grated daikon radish, grated ginger, lemon, nori, and shavings of dried bonito on top. The tororo also contained diced nagaimo. The cold udon had a great texture and flavor, with a rich broth poured over it. Mixing the grated nagaimo and onsen tamago with the noodles made it incredibly delicious. The restaurant has a similar feel to the Gokuraku Udon Ah-Men group. Overall, the udon was delicious and satisfying. "Banku Udon Inaka-kko" is located at 2-5-51 Kireno, Hirano-ku, Osaka City, in the Shiratori Building 1F. Contact them at 06-6760-7928. They are open from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm and 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm, closed on Thursdays. The restaurant is completely non-smoking and does not have a parking lot, so it's recommended to take the Osaka Metro Tanamachi Line to Kire-Uriwari Station and walk 1 minute to reach the restaurant.

A new udon specialty store opened in the neighboring town. I wasn't sure about the opening hours, but when I went at 11 am, it was already open. It seems quite popular, especially on Sundays. Orders are mainly made through QR codes, but you can also order orally if you find it difficult. The prices for udon range from 680 yen for a basic kake udon. I found a special dish to order - the Manukitsune Udon for 980 yen (tax included), made with Tochio's fried tofu. During lunchtime, you can get free extra noodles up to a medium serving (500g). The udon noodles have a square cross-section, giving them a traditional, rustic feel. The broth is made without artificial seasonings, with a rich flavor from various ingredients. The fried toppings are quite large and the seasoning is subtly tangy. Personally, it wasn't to my taste, but it might be enjoyable for others. Overall, it's a good addition to the area, especially since there are no other prominent udon shops nearby. I hope the store continues to thrive.

Menu: Bamboo Chicken Tamago Bukkake 1,170 yen + Medium Size 0 yen + a little bit of rice 200 yen
This restaurant opened in March on the site of Tenkaippin. I went there right away. You order by scanning a QR code. I ordered the Bamboo Chicken Tamago Bukkake with a medium size and a little bit of rice. The noodles were chewy and delicious, and the portion was quite generous. The rice topping was really just a little bit, so if you want to eat a lot, it might be better to get extra noodles. It seems that all udon dishes come with a soft-boiled egg, but it's not mentioned on the menu, so be careful if you have an egg allergy or don't like eggs. You can't choose to have the egg removed through the QR order, so please inform the staff if you want it without. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the newly opened restaurant "Bankuu Udon Inakako" and ordered the traditional dish "Take Niwatori Tamabukkake" for ¥11703.19. The portion size was generous with 300g of noodles, which was perfect for someone like me who loves to eat. The noodles had a great texture, just the way I like it. The chicken tempura was large and the bamboo shoots were easy to eat. It's always nice to see good restaurants opening in the neighborhood. The thoughtful touch of the handwritten note was also appreciated. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you have the chance. #Gourmet #KansaiGourmet #OsakaGourmet #HiranoGourmet #Kizurebahagourmet #BankuuUdonInakako #Udon #Noodles #UdonLover #Foodie #FoodieGram #FoodieWanted #FoodieWanted #GourmetInstagram

On 3/19 (Sun), a new restaurant called "Banku Udon Inakko" opened, which focuses on noodles, broth, serving dishes, and service. They are known for their "shabu meat udon," which I ordered without hesitation. My friend chose the "meat kamatama udon." When the udon bowls were brought out, they were amazing! First, I tried the broth, then slurped the noodles, and finally, enjoyed the meat. It was delicious! I'm already thinking about trying the meat kamatama and curry udon next time, as well as exploring the back area of the restaurant. We both had a great time during lunch and will definitely be visiting again soon.

I went there right after it opened. I ordered the shabu-shabu meat udon with fried tofu topping. The meat and udon were so delicious that you wouldn't think it's a meat and noodle shop. The fried tofu had a satisfying thickness and was incredibly tasty. The noodles had a nice chewiness and the broth was delicious. I definitely want to go back again.

I ordered the Chicken Tempura Tartar Set. Despite being 1150 yen, it was quite filling and you can add extra noodles for free. I think most average men would be satisfied without the extra noodles. I felt it was good value for the money. I chose the Curry Udon, which had authentic curry flavor with just the right amount of spiciness and was very delicious. The mini rice that comes with the set is a bit small, so if you could choose the amount of rice (even for an extra charge), it would be nice to have more rice to enjoy with both the Chicken Tempura and Curry Udon for a greater sense of satisfaction.
