So, even though I have tried Baumkuchen before and there are many cake shops around, I never really bought cakes from them. However, this time, I was captivated by the cute cakes in their Spring Celebration Series, and I stood in front of the showcase like a child, trying to decide which one to pick. The Spring Celebration Series features five cakes: "Spring Sheep" (a fluffy sheep on a hill of apricot and chocolate mousse), "Letter to the Rabbit" (white chocolate mousse with strawberry mousse and sauce inside), "Easter Egg" (pie with vanilla mousse decorated with Easter eggs and fruits), "I Was Born!" (refreshing mango and blood orange mousse), and "Flower Dance" (raspberry mousse with panna cotta and raspberry inside). I ended up buying "I Was Born!" and "Flower Dance". "I Was Born!" has a gentle and warm flavor, with a subtle sweetness and a refreshing aroma of mango and blood orange, including blood orange pulp. "Flower Dance" features raspberry mousse on top of chocolate sponge, with panna cotta and raspberry sauce hidden inside, offering a rich flavor with the tartness and aroma of berries. In addition to their unique Petit Gateau, this shop also offers various unique items. However, I look forward to more limited edition fun cakes like these for each seasonal event in Germany.
