Among chain restaurants, this one is my favorite despite the fact that prices have been increasing every year. The tempura is delicious, especially the seasonal bamboo shoot tempura which was soft and tasty. I felt the saltiness was a bit overpowering, but it might be just right when eaten with udon noodles.

It's been a while since my last visit, but looking at past articles, the kake udon used to be 150 yen. Now it's 240 yen, which seems like a significant price increase. However, considering how cheap it used to be, it's reasonable. I feel like the amount of udon per serving has decreased though. This time, I ordered the kitsune udon for 340 yen. It had a generous portion of fried tofu on top, giving it a typical Osaka udon look. The broth was quite light, so I wanted to add toppings to enhance the flavor, but I always struggle to decide on toppings. I wish they had spring onion tempura topping like they do in Kanto region (my inner desire).

After drinking and walking around Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street, the final meal to end the night is... Let's go for udon noodles! I consciously avoid ramen, as I am a simple person. Apparently, there is currently a craze for crab stick tempura in Kagawa, and it's trendy to take pictures of two of the same. The shop I went to didn't have a line for the crab stick tempura. I ordered a small kake udon for 240 yen and a Hokkaido potato croquette for 130 yen. The udon noodles had a nice texture, not too soft or too firm, and the broth was just right, not too strong or too sweet. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. I enjoyed dipping half of the croquette in the broth. The udon broth was so good that I regret not ordering the cold version. The small kake udon was a special price, while the cold version was 100 yen more. In the end, I gave up on the cold udon. Apologies for making a mess with the broth. Thank you for the meal.

Today I went to the bank for errands, will this be the last errand of the year? I heard about the errand at the bank from A-chan and B-chan, and received a delivery request. Is this also the last one of the year? (laughs) Oh, there was no line, lucky me. After finishing my errands at the bank, I decided to have lunch. Should I go for Western food or ramen? There were 3 people in line in front of the ramen shop at 12:15, so I had no choice but to wait. Two customers left, but there was no sign of entering. It's a big store, right? I confirmed with the staff, "Please go ahead," and finally entered the shop. The staff said, "The lady was waiting," and checked with her. After some back and forth, I finally got in. But the atmosphere was unpleasant, so I decided to leave. I haven't been here in a while, so I ordered a kitsune udon for 740 yen. It was delicious. The tempura udon at Tsurumaru is also good, but the broth might be better at Tsurumaru. Thank you for the meal!

Self-serve udon is the most familiar to me. The first store I visited has closed down, but whenever I come to Minamimorimachi, I crave that nostalgic udon. When I didn't have much money, I used to often eat the 100 yen kake udon with plenty of tempura on top, a budget meal. Nowadays, the prices have gone up and I feel like the amount of udon in one serving has decreased. But it's still cheap and delicious.

I like this udon restaurant because I can eat it in a non-traditional way. I have been a regular customer for a long time because it is cheap and you get a lot of food. I like grated soy sauce udon. I like to add ginger, sesame seeds, and tempura flakes, and sprinkle plenty of shichimi spice on top. Even if it's considered unconventional, this is how I enjoy it.

The Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street has many udon restaurants, among which Hanamaru Udon is a favorite. It had been a few months since my last visit, and I noticed that they are currently collaborating with a fried chicken restaurant. Despite being a udon restaurant, they are offering fried chicken set meals. What caught my attention is that you can substitute the rice in the set meal with udon. I ordered the stamina-boosting tororo udon. The fried chicken was a bit on the tough side, which the kids didn't like, but the adults were satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal!

In the Tenjinbashi shopping street, I wanted to eat sushi but it was not available, so I had takoyaki at a delicious food stall and then tried to have yakisoba, but it was already past lunchtime. I ended up eating udon at a nearby restaurant instead. I had the udon with ginger and egg sauce, where the udon was cooked and then topped with egg and ginger-infused broth. The ginger flavor was really nice.

Stable and delicious. The smoothness is excellent!! The coating of the fried food is healthy and tasty! The chikuwa is always reliable with its savory grilled seaweed taste! Quick! Cheap! Tasty! It's just so delicious. It's great that there's no idle time and you can go anytime you want. I'll definitely go again! Thank you for the meal!

I'm feeling a bit hungry! I'm happy to have a Hanamaru Udon nearby! It's great to stop by for shopping in the shopping street and have Hanamaru Udon! Even on a rainy day, I can enjoy Hanamaru Udon without getting wet in the rain! Haha. The tempura bamboo shoots are a must for me. The runny egg is a must. Topping it with tenkasu is a must for me. Hanamaru Udon always provides the same taste with perfect COVID-19 measures. Stability is important, right? The consistent firmness and smoothness are the best! Thank you for the meal!

Lately, I've been eating lunch earlier than usual, and I found myself getting hungry before reaching my favorite curry restaurant. It may be hard to believe for most people that I can't wait until 11 o'clock, but since we don't eat breakfast at home, I start feeling exhausted by around 10 o'clock after walking a lot. This particular restaurant is the only one in the shopping street that opens at 10:30, so I decided to have a small portion of their kake udon. I love the chewy texture of Sanuki-style udon, and having tried delicious udon in Takamatsu at a similar price range, I know I can trust the quality here. It's definitely not to be underestimated.

Long time no see! I started with some deep-fried skewers at the first place. Thinking ahead to tomorrow, I'll finish with some udon noodles. The restaurant next door was an udon shop. I went with the usual choice of meat udon. But the noodles were sticky like mochi, lacking in chewiness. Uh oh, there's no firmness. And the meat wasn't tasty either. What a disaster! I was drunk and there was even tempura on the menu! They boasted about being Sanuki udon, but to me, Tsurumaru is way better. The broth was lukewarm and tasted bad. I'm sorry.

On my way back from drinking, I felt like having something to finish off the night, so I ended up stopping by this place. They usually have a small size udon with toppings for 150 yen, so I always end up getting that with a rice ball because other menu items seem overpriced. It's a shame, but I always end up getting the udon with toppings. It feels like the toppings are cheap, and the other menu items seem expensive, so maybe they should revise the prices overall a bit more.

Today, I arrived at this restaurant at 10:30 am, just after it opened. I ordered a tempura egg at the tempura corner, and then ordered the mentaiko grated radish soy sauce at the counter. The udon at Hanamaru Udon is mass-produced at a factory, so the quality is consistent and reliable. The udon had a chewy texture even though it was cold, with a slight firmness. The soy sauce was flavorful and complemented the udon well. The pink mentaiko seemed to contain artificial coloring, so I hope they consider using better quality ingredients. Hanamaru Udon, originating from Kagawa Prefecture, has a large number of stores as a Sanuki udon chain, second only to Marugame Seimen. Personally, I prefer Hanamaru Udon over Marugame Seimen, so I will continue to support them. I hope they will consider adding chilled udon to their menu in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Last week, my colleagues and I decided to go to a restaurant called "Hanamaru Udon" for lunch. It was a hot day and even though the restaurant was a bit far, we decided to go because one of my colleagues had a coupon. Surprisingly, Hanamaru Udon originated in Kagawa, and it is now a subsidiary of Yoshinoya. It had been a while since I last visited the restaurant, so it was a nice change. The system at the restaurant was similar to the one in Kagawa where you order your noodles, choose your toppings at the counter, pay, and then find a seat. I ordered the cold udon noodles with vegetable tempura topping. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated quickly. The broth was flavorful and refreshing, and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. The vegetable tempura was small but tasty, and there was a variety of vegetables used. Overall, the meal was decent. I hope to go on a udon pilgrimage in Shikoku during the second half of my summer vacation.

Hello! "Hanamaru Udon Tenjinbashi-Suji Sanchome Store" here. When in trouble, go for this. Adding tempura bits for richness. Ginger for a kick. Add chicken tempura. It turns out like this. Occasionally refreshing dashi broth. I prefer it to be mild. Good for changing the flavor. Thank you for the meal. Well then.

Hanamaru Udon, Kitsune Udon (medium size) costs around 398 yen. I eat at Hanamaru when I travel. The taste is the same. Due to pressure from various sources, I have minimized the content of my drafts since June 2019, and also reduced the number of images since January 2020.

It was 10 pm during the pandemic, and most shops were closed. I went to this shop that was still open. The oden was surprisingly delicious.
