I asked the staff and they were able to make it a large portion. As always, the tender roasted pork with sweet sauce was delicious. The table had black pepper, white pepper, red ginger, and garlic for added flavor. It was incredibly tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Under the cloudy sky, on my way to Makomanai Park by bike, I spotted a ramen shop that caught my attention. I decided to stop by on my way back. It was my first visit. I sat down and saw "Recommended!! Salt Ramen" written in front of me, so I ordered the salt ramen without hesitation. It seemed to be run by an elderly couple, and there was one regular customer in the back. The salt ramen that arrived was different from what I had imagined, with a white soup base. It tasted very gentle, probably made without any chemical seasonings. The toppings included thick slices of chashu, wood ear mushrooms, menma, thin slices of wheat gluten, and white negi. According to previous reviews, it used to come with a soft-boiled egg, but it seems that due to a shortage and price increase, it has been replaced with wheat gluten. What surprised me was how delicious the chashu was. I definitely plan to try the chashu ramen or chashu rice bowl next time I visit. Salt Ramen ¥750

Today, I had a pre-meal at Moiwa Happy as well. I ordered salt ramen and grilled pork bowl (regular size). The salt ramen was free because I had accumulated 15 service tickets. The grilled pork bowl here is really delicious. It's juicy because it's grilled, and the fat is not solidified. The tender and chewy grilled pork with a quite sweet sauce is a perfect match with rice. Thank you for the meal.

Today, before heading to Moiwa Happy after work, I decided to grab a bite to eat. I ordered the Vegetable Miso Ramen for 900 yen, which I hadn't tried before, and the ultimate favorite, the Seared Pork Bowl for 800 yen. The ramen had a slightly refreshing miso flavor with a pork bone white broth base, a simple miso ramen. The taste was not bad, but the ramen at this restaurant, regardless of the flavor, has a significantly restrained sweetness. This doesn't really suit my taste, especially for miso ramen where the lack of sweetness leaves me feeling unsatisfied. However, I come to this restaurant for the Seared Pork Bowl. The thickly sliced seared pork had a wonderfully fragrant aroma. The texture of the meat was tender and chewy, my ideal type of seared pork. The exterior of the restaurant exudes nostalgia, and I initially thought the seared pork would be tough and chewy like the old-fashioned kind, but I was pleasantly surprised. By the way, the sauce for the seared pork was quite sweet, which I really liked. I forgot to take a picture of the Seared Pork Bowl today. Thank you for the meal once again.

Friday, 6/2. Wandered around Minami Ward again. Had salt ramen for 750 yen. It was said to be free of artificial seasoning. They gave me a service voucher on my way out, but I'm not confident I can collect enough to redeem it. It's a restaurant with a sense of history. There are about 2 parking spaces next to the shop.

Today, before heading to Moiwa Happy, I had a meal. I usually order a mini size of the seared pork bowl as a side dish, but today I went for the regular size, one big serving! I wish they had a large size, but unfortunately they don't. I'll try asking for a large size next time I come. The seared pork with thick slices of belly meat is tender, juicy, and delicious. If you like belly meat, you will definitely enjoy the taste. Thank you for the meal today.

Today, before heading to Moiwa Happy, I had a meal to fill my stomach. I had the Gomoku noodles with thick sauce and stir-fried vegetables. It's not common to find a pork bone white broth soup with a thick sauce like this. The highlight today was the mini seared pork bowl. The thick chashu with sweet and savory sauce perfectly matched with the meat's fat. It's really worth coming just for this. Thank you for the meal again today.

I was surprised by the deliciousness of the chashu during my first visit. I visited looking forward to the chashu bowl. I ordered the chashumen and mini seared pork bowl. The chashumen was soy sauce-based and honestly didn't have any standout flavor. The taste was a bit blurry without clear outlines. However, this simple seasoning might just match the atmosphere of the restaurant. As expected, the seared pork bowl was perfect! The thick, tender, flavorful chashu was seared to perfection and very fragrant. Searing it enhances the richness of the fat even more. The sweet and savory sauce pairs perfectly with the pork. I found something great here. Next time, I want to order the regular size seared pork bowl with ramen as a side. The service from the husband and wife was also very good today. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I had some free time so I went on a little expedition to the southern district. A few days ago, I tried to visit this restaurant but it was closed. According to their calendar, it seems like they are closed on Mondays. It was around 12:10 pm when I arrived. The small parking lot next to the restaurant was completely empty, with space for only three cars. Inside, there was only one other customer. The restaurant seemed to be run by an elderly couple, probably older than me. It felt like a place where younger people don't usually come. I decided to order the Chinese rice bowl after doing some research beforehand. It cost 850 yen including tax. The dish arrived in less than 10 minutes. The presentation was nice, not too much food but just right for me. The soup had a pork bone base. It was a bit unusual but had a nostalgic taste to it. The thick sauce was also quite good. The rice was delicious as well, and overall, there was no sense of cutting corners in the dish. I enjoyed my meal slowly and finished it feeling quite satisfied. The soup was tasty too. I would like to come back and try their salt ramen next time. The menu mentioned that they offer a free small dessert during lunchtime.

I have been going to Moiwa Happy for 19 years, and near Moiwa Happy, there is a shop with a very appealing appearance and noren that entices you to eat ramen. I had never visited this shop before, so today I decided to visit before going to Happy. Before visiting, I checked the menu on Tabelog and found that the salt ramen was recommended. The soup was cloudy and seemed to be a salt ramen with a clear broth. As someone from Hakodate, I prefer clear broth salt ramen, so I honestly didn't have high expectations. I also heard that the set with half-fried rice was delicious, so I ordered the salt ramen in large size and the half-fried rice set. The shop is run by a slightly elderly couple, and they are very friendly, creating a cozy atmosphere. The atmosphere inside the shop is like a ramen shop from the Showa era, which is also nice. Soon, the ramen was served. The soup was indeed a light tonkotsu (pork bone) broth, similar to a light tonkotsu ramen from Hakata. The garlic that comes through moderately also adds to the taste, making it quite a unique flavor for a salt ramen. When you eat it thinking it's salt ramen, it seems strange, but if you think of it as tonkotsu ramen with high hydration curly noodles, you can enjoy the taste without feeling strange. The fried rice was honestly not particularly distinctive, similar to homemade fried rice without any special features. It was quite dry, which is a matter of preference. What surprised me was the chashu (sliced roasted pork). Despite the shop's retro atmosphere, the thick pork belly chashu was very modern and tender. This was to my liking and very delicious. If this salt ramen was on the menu when this shop opened, I think it was a very forward-thinking and innovative salt ramen. I would like to try other menu items, so I would like to visit this shop again when I come to Moiwa Happy. Thank you for the meal.

I had a set of miso ramen and mini fried rice. The miso soup had a rich flavor and was delicious. The Chinese noodles were well-cooked and tasty. The chashu pork was tender and flavorful. The fried rice was fluffy and paired perfectly with the ramen. The auntie who warmly welcomed us from the moment we entered was the best. The friendly uncle also provided great service. I love this nostalgic Showa era-style restaurant.

I had always been curious about this restaurant every time I passed by. I thought I could probably enjoy some old-fashioned ramen here. There are three parking spots next to the shop, which is convenient for me as I dislike waiting in line during lunchtime. I visited at 3 o'clock today. There were only two customers ahead of me. The menu was extensive and I had a hard time deciding, but I ended up ordering the vegetable kimchi ramen in miso flavor with extra spicy leeks on top. The friendly owner took my order and my ramen was served in just six minutes. Contrary to my expectation, the kimchi was not in the ramen but rather a kimchi seasoning that I had to mix in myself. The vegetables included cabbage, onions, carrots, wood ear mushrooms, and bamboo shoots, all stir-fried to perfection in a short amount of time. The soup was sweet, creamy, and had a unique umami flavor. It was made with chicken bones, pork trotters, and chicken bones. Despite being free of artificial additives, the soup was incredibly flavorful and I couldn't stop drinking it. It was a healthy and satisfying bowl of ramen. I look forward to trying their recommended salt ramen and fried rice set next time.

The location is along Ishiyama Street in Sapporo. There is a parking lot next to the store, with space for about 3 cars. Inside the store, it is long and narrow, with a narrow width but wide depth. There is no unpleasant smell due to its age. In the front, there is a counter with about 5 seats in a U-shape, and in the back, there are 3 seats resembling a bar or café counter. On the day of the visit, there were two staff members, a father and a mother. I ordered salt ramen and miso ramen, not knowing any information beforehand, so I did not order the fried rice, which I regretted later. I was surprised when the salt ramen was served because it was a clear broth. It had a unique smell for a tonkotsu broth, and later I found out from reviews that it also contained chicken and beef. I thought they might be using some kind of bonito flakes or unusual fish flakes. The taste was subtle and left me feeling unsure. The noodles were medium-thick curly noodles. The chashu had an old-fashioned, nostalgic feel to it. The seasoning was on the stronger side. The mother, who is clearly popular, had a lively and cheerful voice and provided great service. On the way out, I received a service voucher and was sent off with a cheerful voice saying, "Come back again!"

This is a ramen shop located along Ishiyama Street in August 2021. I had heard before that their salt ramen is collagen-rich, delicious, and free of chemical seasonings, so I had been wanting to visit for a while. They have a parking lot next to the store. The interior of the store has a nostalgic feel. Looking at the menu, it seems that the salt ramen is the recommended dish, and the fried rice is also popular. It has been years since I last had fried rice, so I ordered the salt ramen and fried rice set after a long time. It took less than 10 minutes for the food to be served. As soon as I tasted the soup, I was impressed by the richness, depth, and well-balanced saltiness that made it hard to believe that it was free of chemical seasonings. The ramen was so delicious that I didn't feel any guilt. The noodles were also to my liking. The fried rice had a strong saltiness and was evenly and beautifully fried, making it delicious. I am already feeling very full. I am very satisfied with my visit.

Ramen shop located in the Moiwa Shita area of Minami-ku, along Ishiyama Street. I had been curious about this place every time I passed by, so I decided to visit for lunch. There is a parking space on the side of the building. The cozy interior with a U-shaped counter and high counter seats exudes a Showa-era atmosphere. The menu offers noodles, rice dishes, and value set menus. This time, I ordered the "Miso with Mini Donburi Set (1,000 yen)" with fried rice. The mini donburi can be chosen from fried rice, pork bowl, or roasted pork bowl. The order was ready in about 10 minutes. The miso ramen, which seems to be pork bone-based, has a slightly light and mild soup. The curly noodles were boiled slightly soft, which was not to my liking as I prefer a firmer texture. It seemed like the salt flavor was recommended, so I thought the noodles and soup might go better with salt than miso. The fried rice was flavorful with a fluffy texture and a good amount of salt and pepper, typical of ramen shop fried rice, which I enjoyed. Although the mini portion was decent, personally, I wished there was more fried rice. If I have the chance, I would like to try the salt ramen and fried rice set.

Yuran and his group indulged in a hearty breakfast buffet at Lake Toya, but surprisingly found themselves hungry again. They followed a local's recommendation to a nearby restaurant, which could easily be overlooked if you're not careful. Located on the left side with Mount Teine in the background, the restaurant has parking available. Run by a friendly mother, the most popular dish at this place is the salt ramen, which they shared along with some delicious fried rice. The counter is equipped with acrylic dividers for COVID-19 safety measures. The salt pork bone ramen was flavorful and not too heavy, with a generous serving of toppings like eggs, chashu, white leeks, and wood ear mushrooms. It reminded them of Santoka Ramen, but with its own unique taste. The fried rice was a standout with a perfect balance of flavors, especially the strong pepper seasoning. Yuran felt like he could eat here regularly if this restaurant was closer to home. The mother's warm hospitality made them want to come back again soon.

☆☆Revisited (Sep 2020)☆☆
I visited "Ramen Shofuku" located along N37 W11, Ishiyama Street. The nearby ramen shops were closed for the holidays, so I decided to revisit this place. Upon arrival around 11 o'clock, I parked diagonally next to the shop and went inside. The owner, a motherly figure, was there which was reassuring. I decided to order the Gomoku Ramen (soy sauce) for 850 yen. The noodles were ready in about 15 minutes. The soup looked appetizing with a mix of ingredients like Chinese cabbage, shrimp, squid, carrots, and wood ear mushrooms. The soy sauce topping added a nice touch to the mild tonkotsu pork bone soup base. However, the soup was so generous that the topping disappeared quickly. The yellow, medium-thick curly noodles from Sapporo had a good firmness and slurpiness. My wife ordered the fried rice for 600 yen. The standout feature was the fluffy, piping hot rice which was delicious. The seasoning and frying were just to my liking. The owner even wore a mask. I hope the mother remains healthy and continues to cook, but I wonder if there is anyone to succeed her. Despite a slight increase in prices, it was a satisfying meal!

Companion wanted to eat "Tonkotsu Ramen" so we decided on a restaurant! Visited after 1 year and 1 month. I chose the recommended "Shio Ramen" and a great set menu with "Mini Chahan". The menu was the same as last time (prices have increased by ¥50 due to the consumption tax hike). The tonkotsu soup had a gentle flavor, light yet rich and delicious. I couldn't stop slurping the soup. The medium-thick curly noodles were typical Sapporo style, but with a moderate aging level, they matched well with the soup. The thick and tender chashu was delicious, and the meaty menma and chewy wood ear mushrooms added a nice touch. The simple ingredients in the chahan were also tasty! The well-matched flavors made it a delicious bowl. A popular local restaurant that is worth the hype! I hope they continue to do well in the future!

Until a little while ago, I lived near here, but I had never visited this place before~ I was curious about it though^^ When I entered, I was greeted by the voice of the female owner from the counter in the back. Without even looking at the menu, I ordered "salt ramen." The interior of the restaurant was designed to accommodate many people. There is an auto repair shop nearby, I wonder if they come for lunch~ The ramen that arrived at the table looked like "rich salt ramen." It was a bit surprising for those who imagined a clear soup. I tried the soup first - it is a pork bone broth. I usually like chicken broth, but I was impressed by the lack of any unpleasant smell in this animal-based soup. The chashu (sliced roasted pork) is homemade, I think, and delicious. The noodles were also my favorite type!! The white leeks were neatly topped and delicious. It was a great meal, thank you(^^♪

Sometimes I only go there occasionally, but my mother remembers me even though it feels like I haven't been there for over half a year. She has an amazing ability to remember customers. She runs the place by herself. So please be patient even if the service is a bit slow. I like the salt ramen and fried rice. I enjoyed it very much.
