An acquaintance took me to a okonomiyaki restaurant in a town I had never been to before. Inside, the friendly owner cooked on the iron griddle. We started with the recommended beef tendon, which was simmered to perfection with a flavorful taste. The beef steak was tender and delicious, with the sweet potatoes adding a nice touch. The chicken gizzard stir-fry was crunchy and flavorful, perfect with beer. The yakisoba was excellent, and the pork and yam omelette was fluffy and tasty. Be careful not to order too much! They are currently operating with shortened hours until around 9 pm, so it's best to contact them in advance. I will definitely be going back!

My favorite okonomiyaki is definitely the best. It's fluffy and light, almost like a dessert, and even girls can easily eat two pieces. This month, I've been to about 10 okonomiyaki restaurants, but I still love Kansai-style okonomiyaki the most. (^o^)

This restaurant is located about a 10-minute walk from Kintetsu Imazato Station. It was featured on a TV show for their okonomiyaki. I ordered the pork modan because I like modan yaki. At this restaurant, the staff cooks the food right in front of you on a hot plate. The modan yaki was fluffy and delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Hachiko. A nostalgic okonomiyaki restaurant in Ikuno Imazato Shinchi. Good cost performance and delicious taste. The pork okonomiyaki is soft. I like the firm okonomiyaki made by hitting it hard with a spatula to give it a strong flavor, but the fluffy okonomiyaki is also good. I can easily eat two pieces in one go.

It's really delicious. The fluffy okonomiyaki that makes you feel nostalgic! I think it's hard to find okonomiyaki this cheap and delicious! It's so light and fluffy that I could easily eat two, maybe even three pieces (๑•̀ω•́)و My friends also said it's the best they've ever had, 98 points!! Even if I try to think of the other 2 points, I can't find anything wrong with this perfect okonomiyaki, so for now, it's 98!! And the value for money is amazing. Even if the price goes up, the pork okonomiyaki is only 700 yen? Σ(゚д゚lll) The chef is also very friendly, I love this place ❤️

I came to have Okonomiyaki at Yakou-san's after a long time. Thick slices of pork belly are grilled until juicy, cut into bite-sized pieces, and then finely chopped cabbage is placed on top. It looks quite difficult to flip at this point. The finished dish is topped with sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and seaweed, according to your preference. The fluffy texture and the sweetness of the pork belly spread gently in your mouth. Ah, happiness!

I was once again afflicted with "Tabelog sabori byo" (skipping posting on food review websites) (lol) Before I knew it, the year had turned to 2019! I need to tidy up my smartphone photos! I will gradually start posting them. In the fourth week of November 2018, I went to Nakajimaya with my friend and then moved to Moriya and Imazato. We came to this restaurant where he used to frequent! However, I was already stuffed, so I couldn't have okonomiyaki or yakisoba, so I ordered tonpeiyaki and bottled beer instead! The tonpeiyaki was cooked by the chef right in front of us on the hot plate, making it super crispy, and then wrapped in fluffy egg! It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

Yakkou is a must-visit every month! Try their okonomiyaki once! Even though the price has gone up, the Butatama is 700 yen! It's fluffy and you can easily have two pieces! It's currently my favorite okonomiyaki restaurant ♡

I had a delicious okonomiyaki at a long-established restaurant! I ordered the pork modern style, which was a rare way of cooking with the ingredients laid on the bottom. I will definitely be coming back!

Here in this area, this place is highly praised for its delicious food. It was my first visit with a friend. Not knowing how big the portions would be, we first ordered yakisoba (pork) and a mixed okonomiyaki. The mixed okonomiyaki was filled with thick slices of pork, shrimp, and squid. The cabbage was finely chopped, almost as if it had been put in a blender. It was so soft that it seemed difficult to flip over. The finished dish was generously topped with sauce and mayonnaise. At the same time, the yakisoba also arrived on the hot plate. The thin noodles had a crispy texture and were filled with thick slices of pork. The okonomiyaki was as soft as expected, falling apart easily, and packed with plenty of ingredients. Both dishes had great flavors, but were surprisingly light. We decided to add negi sujiyaki, which was seasoned with soy sauce. It had a deliciously tender texture, but could have had a bit more presence. We ordered two beers, and the total bill was just under ¥4000. Although the okonomiyaki was a bit on the pricey side, it was delicious, so it was worth it.

Tonight, I went on an expedition with 6 drinking buddies to a famous okonomiyaki restaurant called "Hakkou" in Imazato Shinchi, Ikuno Ward. We started off with a toast with draft beer. For starters, we had beef tendon teppanyaki, which was stir-fried beef tendon meat with plenty of green onions and sprinkled with spice. The beef tendons were so tender and went perfectly with the beer. Next, we tried the champon, a dish with a mix of yakisoba and udon noodles, which was surprisingly delicious. The different textures of the noodles mixed together, along with the tasty sauce, made it a great dish. We also had the okonomiyaki (pork and cabbage), which was fluffy and delicious, topped with sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and seaweed. It was a satisfying meal, and the bill was surprisingly affordable. Overall, it was a great dining experience at "Hakkou" in Imazato.

Two weeks in a row, I visited "Hakkou" in Imazato Shinchi. I used to come here almost every month about 7-8 years ago, but it had been a while since I moved. The restaurant was quite busy, with only one tatami room available both times I went around 5:30 pm. During my first visit, I ordered the Butatama (pork and egg) for 550 yen and the Suji Negi Yaki (beef sinew and leek) for 900 yen. The owner cooked the food right in front of us, which really stimulated my appetite. The Butatama was served with sauce and mayo, while the Suji Negi Yaki had soy sauce and mayo. Both dishes had a fluffy texture and were delicious. The Suji Negi Yaki, in particular, impressed me with its tender sinew. On my second visit, I ordered the Gyusuji Teppanyaki (beef sinew teppanyaki) for 850 yen and the Buta Modern (pork modern) for 750 yen, as I enjoyed the sinew dish from before. The Gyusuji had a great combination of leek and konjac, while the Buta Modern had a nice crispy edge to it after being seared on the teppan. I couldn't resist ordering the Yakisoba for 450 yen at the end, and it was also delicious. The prices were reasonable, so I'm definitely planning to visit again.

This time, I visited Yakou-san near Imazatosuji Shinchi. It's a completely different place from Kita-Shinchi or any other place that my esteemed reviewer worships. This area, which seems like Korea, is filled with Korean snack bars, Korean restaurants, and Shinchi's famous tea houses. Japanese people don't have much of a chance to enter here (^_^;) However, it's very close to my house, and I recently searched on Tabelog and found that there are various options. I will conquer each place in Imazatosuji Shinchi, also known as Imazatosuji Shinchi-nari. This place is quite famous locally for its okonomiyaki at reasonable prices. The interior of the restaurant is very Showa era-style with a nostalgic atmosphere. The worn-out feeling of the menu and the atmosphere... truly a world of difference between Imazatosuji Shinchi and Kita-Shinchi. This is not within the Shinchi area, but well, the shops in Shinchi are all like this (laughs). This time, I ordered Rolled Soba (700 yen), Grilled Squid with Salt (800 yen), and Mixed Okonomiyaki (800 yen). The Grilled Squid with Salt is grilled right in front of you and is simple with just squid and cabbage. It is best enjoyed with ponzu sauce. This simple taste is truly delicious (*^_^*) The Rolled Soba has thin soba noodles rolled with firm scrambled eggs. I like fluffy scrambled eggs, but it's a matter of preference. The yakisoba was a bit dry, and as expected, the number one soba roll in Osaka is Satomi! The Mixed Okonomiyaki has a fluffy texture with large seafood ingredients that are delicious, and the okonomiyaki sauce is just right (^^♪ I switched to black beer halfway through. Black beer has a unique taste that is somewhat medicinal when you savor it (^^;) Was it just Asahi's black beer that happened to be like that? Despite feeling quite full from the alcohol, I discovered a menu item that caught my eye! Soy sauce-flavored yakisoba (450 yen). I ordered it with bean sprouts as a topping. This turned out to be a big hit! The savory aroma of soy sauce and the bean sprouts go perfectly together! The udon noodles have a chewy texture, making it a perfect way to end a night of drinking (*^^)v Adding a touch of shichimi spice will definitely accelerate the pace of your drinking! The restaurant is on the level of Kitanashu but the taste is not bad and the prices are reasonable. I wonder if I'll find some hidden gems in Imazatosuji Shinchi in the future? Well, most of the places probably won't suit my taste... I'll review Imazatosuji Shinchi occasionally from now on. Thank you for the meal. m(__)mm(__)m

I went to Yakkou in Shinimazato, Ikuno Ward, Osaka City. I often go to Shinimazato Shinchi, and I had been curious about Yakkou for a while. I arrived at 6:30 pm, but it was full. I waited for a while. I ordered yakisoba, modern-yaki, butadama, beer, and more. The yakisoba was delicious. It was tastier than the modern-yaki. The butadama was softer and tastier than the modern-yaki, but the yakisoba was the most delicious.
