Merry Chocolate is a chocolate shop located in Daimaru Fukuoka, which has been awarded the highest Gold Tablet by the Salon du Chocolat certification guide, known as the Michelin of chocolates. I visited the shop after having a meal at an udon restaurant on the second floor of Daimaru. Although I initially planned to buy chocolates, I ended up purchasing pound cakes as my main items. I bought the Merry Sweets Time for 378 yen, which included a selection of chocolates and candies in a cute Halloween-themed packaging. I also chose a set of 5 pound cakes for 810 yen, also in Halloween packaging. The sweet potato cake is made by mixing diced sweet potatoes into a sweet potato-flavored batter and baking it. The marble cake has a cute marble pattern and is a plain type of cut cake that is easy to eat. The pumpkin and walnut cake is made by mixing diced pumpkin with fragrant walnuts and baking it. The fruit cake is made by mixing 5 types of dried fruits and baking it fluffy. The chocolate cake is a richly flavored cut cake. Next, I will challenge the chocolates.
