On the second day of my Hokkaido trip, our itinerary included a visit to Goryokaku from La Vista Hakodate Bay, followed by Oonuma Park, and lunch at Hakodate Onuma Prince Hotel. Unfortunately, the cloudy sky prevented us from seeing the majestic Mount Komagatake, but we were able to explore Goryokaku, Oonuma, and Koonuma. The Hakodate Onuma Prince Hotel has the Hokkaido Country Club attached to it. It must be so nice to play golf in such a place, surrounded by the greenery. As we walked through the greenery, a beautiful low-rise hotel appeared. It blended in with the greenery, creating a lovely atmosphere. We were guided to the hotel's dining room, which had a spacious area with high ceilings and glass windows on the south side. It was a beautiful dining restaurant. Tables were set up by the windows and along the walls, and the tables for two by the windows offered a great view (unfortunately, we were seated by the wall). We were served an appetizer first, with fresh vegetables and prosciutto. The plate was chilled, enhancing the freshness of the vegetables. Next, we had corn soup, which had the sweetness of corn and the rich taste of high-quality cream. Then, bread and the main dish of pork sauté arrived. The meat was topped with mashed potatoes and vegetables. The bread was warm. Finally, we had dessert to finish the meal. Even though we weren't very hungry after having the best breakfast in Japan earlier, we managed to finish the meal at this top-notch hotel. The lunch at the hotel may not have been top-grade in terms of content, but the taste was truly satisfying. We didn't stay long as we headed to our next destination, but it was a lovely hotel where you could spend a leisurely time. Thank you for the meal!
