Nihonbashi to Nagahoribashi ◇ Udon ◇ [2-cho, Higashi Shinsaibashi, Chuo-ku] Located on the left side of Kamemachi-dori, the second street to the west of Sakai-suji Mitsudera, is "Kagome" a shop that serves "fine udon" from the evening. Instead of finishing with ramen after drinking in Minami, we decided to visit this udon shop after hopping to two other places. We had the udon and inari sushi as souvenirs. The memories are a bit fuzzy due to all the drinking, but the photos are there to remind us. During a dinner with K-san, who was transferring to Tokyo, I had the sliced udon while my companion ordered the curry udon. The third toast was with beer. The fine udon, especially when eaten with chopped tempura, has a good texture and a light broth. The inari sushi as a souvenir is small and sweet, perfect for a late-night snack. Walking home unsteadily, I realized that the inari sushi was all over the place, but still delicious. I ended up eating more than half of the souvenir myself. "Thank you for the meal."

Late-night udon. Having udon as a finishing dish is quite rare for me. It was past 11 PM, I think, and this small shop with just a counter seemed to be run by a couple. Their specialty is "thin udon", which is why I decided to visit (^_-)-☆ I had Sudachi Udon (cold), while my companion had Curry Udon and firm rice. Despite being refreshing, the broth was rich in flavor, and the thin udon had a very pleasant texture! Since I don't eat udon often, please don't take this as a reference, haha. It was simply delicious. So, I also tried the recommended Inari sushi and they were great. They also sold oden, so we had 2 servings (4 pieces) of beef tendon, dipped in spicy mustard. It was also delicious with a good broth. After drinking, people tend to go for ramen, but this place offers a good amount of noodles, compactly served in a portion that won't make you overeat. The light broth soup was truly appreciated by a drinker like me. It was a fantastic place ☆ Sorry for being noisy. The lemon sour was ice-cold and refreshing (^_-)-☆

☆彡At Kogeme Man in the Shinsaibashi area, the fine noodles can be mistaken for somen at first glance, but they are actually thin udon noodles. The popular spot for after-drinks udon has reopened after a temporary closure. The gentle broth here is so comforting after a night out. The Niku Udon (beef udon) for 950 yen and Kayak Gohan (mixed rice) for 300 yen are highly recommended. The broth, made with kombu and dried fish, is not as strong in bonito flavor as typical udon shops, but it has a delicate umami that envelops you. The noodles are slightly thicker than somen, but thinner than regular udon, with a smooth and satisfying texture. The beef used in the udon is high-quality wagyu beef loin, which pairs perfectly with the noodles and broth. I finished every last drop of the soup, and only night service is available. You'll definitely fall in love with the kindness of this place. Check out my Instagram @ginjirou.star for more!

At a udon restaurant open at night in the city, I ordered the popular "sudachi udon". The noodles were thin and smooth, with a good chewy texture. The broth was soothing, flowing smoothly down my throat and stomach. Towards the end, the citrusy acidity from the abundant sudachi added a refreshing touch to the broth. The aftertaste was clean and satisfying. This udon dish felt like a must-have comfort food in this bustling city. The water surface was covered with a large amount of sudachi.

The location of this restaurant is around the area between Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori River, with a clean and beautiful interior. It stays open late, making it convenient for a drink after work. The Ume Konbu Udon is a delicious dish with the acidity of plum and the aroma of kombu enhancing the flavor of the broth. The broth has a refined taste. The noodles are quite thin, similar to somen noodles, with a slightly soft texture. My companion had the Niku Toji Udon.

In Osaka Minami, I tried the famous curry udon at a long-established udon restaurant called Kogome. The restaurant is known for its thin udon noodles and is located on the ground floor of the Eight One Building, having recently moved from the Galaxy Building. The curry udon was hot and delicious, and the cold sudachi udon I ordered was also excellent. The broth was flavorful and I could easily drink it up. The refreshing aroma of the sudachi added a nice touch to the dish.

I visited a shop in Minami, Osaka today feeling a bit empty around 1:30 pm. I had known about it before but it was my first time visiting. I wanted to be comforted. I didn't feel like having ramen, so I came here for udon. Even at one o'clock, the area was lively. It's a bustling district. The shop only has a counter and it's very clean. The previous customers were two hostesses from a cabaret club and their companions. I like this atmosphere. I ordered sudachi udon. It had about half a sudachi in it. It was amazing after drinking it. It was my first time trying sudachi udon. The citrusy sourness of the sudachi with the udon broth was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

On January 31, 2019, in Osaka Minami. On the way back from drinking with friends at an acquaintance's shop, I happened to see a lantern with the words "Hoso Udon" (thin udon). Feeling drawn to it, we decided to enter the shop. This shop specializes in thin udon, and what caught my eye was the "Kizami Curry Udon" (curry udon with minced meat). The thin udon noodles were really thin and very easy to eat. The curry broth was also delicious, making it a great choice after drinking. I was also curious about the Kizami Wakame Udon that my friend was eating, so I might challenge a different menu next time!

When I think of Kagome...♪ Curry udon and inari sushi ♪ I don't have many opportunities to eat curry, but sometimes I crave it in the summer. We split up in Minami! But it's quite late... Today is not a ramen day... Udon? That's right! I want to eat Kagome's curry udon! And I also want to have inari sushi! It's a beloved restaurant that I pass by from the previous store. I consumed a lot of salt late at night, so the next morning when I looked in the mirror, I went "Oops, puffy face" (;´д`)

I have visited this place several times. It's a counter-only shop and it's always almost full when I go. The udon here is known for its thin noodles, which are perfect for women or as a finishing touch after drinking. They are smooth and delicious. The inari sushi and yakigohan are also tasty, and I often bring them home for my family. At work, I was asked by two elderly ladies who were visiting Tokyo for sightseeing if I knew a good place to try Osaka-style udon. I recommended this place to them. I was worried if they arrived safely, but after their meal, they came back to tell me, "We went there! The thin noodles were so delicious^^ Thank you." This udon shop, where people of all ages can enjoy delicious udon, is a place with a lot of attention to detail. I will definitely visit again.

The soup was delicious. The thin udon noodles were not particularly surprising or impressive, but the soup was so good that I want to have it again! I will definitely go back for it, especially when I visit Osaka for work.

I came to a udon restaurant in the Eight One Building in Shinsaibashi. I have been here a few times when it was located in the Galaxy Building before moving here, but this is my first time at this location. Despite arriving after 1 am, the L-shaped counter seats are almost full. I ordered the Sudachi udon! If I remember correctly, the udon arrived in about 5 minutes. The noodles are very thin and easy to eat, perfect for finishing off a drink, and the light broth is excellent. In the end, I finished both the noodles and the broth. Thank you for the meal!

Dotonbori is a famous shop in Tamaya known for its thin udon noodles. After wandering around at night, sometimes I crave their curry udon. Sometimes they run out if it's late. Before they moved, the shop used to be located halfway down the slope in the Tamaya Galaxy Building. The first time I was taken there, I felt nervous because of the shady atmosphere (laughs). Now they have a clean storefront along the street, making it more accessible for everyone. The taste of the udon has not changed at all. I ordered regular udon once in the past, but other than that, it's always been curry udon. I think of Koshuume as the definition of curry udon. The thin udon is easy to slurp and easy to eat like ramen, making it perfect even when you're drunk. The broth is a well-blended Japanese-style broth similar to S&B curry spice, with a good thickness and slightly spicy. You can add small pieces of fried tempura for an extra 100 yen. I recommend the curry udon after drinking. I used to enjoy seeing the reaction of people I brought to the old shady place for the first time, but that's a bit disappointing. Nevertheless, I still stop by after wandering around. Thank you for the meal!

Today is the first cold day of the year. As night falls, it's getting quite chilly. I decided to grab a bite to eat and head to a bar, so I walked north from Namba to Dotonbori. After a while, I spotted a new-looking udon restaurant called Kogeme. It seemed clean and inviting, so I decided to go in. It was still early at 8:30 PM, with only one other customer. The interior was clean, with an L-shaped counter giving off a cozy vibe. I checked out the menu, and the prices were a bit on the higher side, typical for a nighttime spot. I went with the recommended curry udon. The husband and wife duo behind the counter seemed to be running the place. Soon, my steaming hot curry udon arrived. I dug in with a spoon and found the broth to be rich and flavorful. The udon noodles were thin, not like the thicker Inaniwa udon I had in mind, but they worked well with the curry broth. The meat was also delicious. It was just the right amount to satisfy my hunger. This portion would be perfect for a light meal after drinks, when you want something to eat but don't want a heavy meal like ramen. It was a satisfying meal.

【September 2016】Was this restaurant here before I first visited? I think it's a new place. The business card at the store clearly says "thin udon," so the feature is thin noodles. It seems more like a dish to finish off a meal rather than a hearty lunch. - Zaru Udon: Someone I was with ordered this for 850 yen. It looks and feels like soba noodles. - Curry Udon: When it comes to lunch, it's a curry udon that doesn't lose to the curry with thick noodles. By using thin noodles, the curry flavor doesn't stick to the noodles as much. But for a satisfying finish to a slightly full stomach after drinking, this one is definitely better. It's easy to eat. It's like "Curry from an Udon shop" instead of "Curry from a Soba shop." It's a fresh genre. Thank you for the meal.

This place has a high-class feel with its glass walls and open kitchen setup. However, there were no TV, napkins, or tissue paper provided, and the overall atmosphere felt a bit pricey. I ordered curry udon and while waiting, I also got some potato salad and oden. The udon came out in about 3-4 minutes, which was surprisingly fast. The potato salad and oden were average. The udon noodles were very thin, almost like ramen noodles. The curry sauce was mild and slightly sweet, but the portion size was quite small and the value for money was not great. The noodles tasted good and coated well with the sauce. The service was lacking in conversation, as the staff seemed focused on the TV. Overall, I think this place might be better for a post-drinking meal rather than a full dining experience.

This time, my companion for the drive back was inari sushi. The bite-sized pieces with the flavorful fried tofu soaked in broth were absolutely delicious. "Kogome" in the Minami area of Osaka is a great place for a satisfying meal, even for takeout inari sushi. It was a perfect companion for the drive - easy to eat, reasonably priced, and delicious. Thank you for the meal! It made for a delightful drive.
