I bought a Kintetsu Line 2-day free pass on June 1, 2023, and my destination this time is Kuwana. I'm going to take the Sangi Railway. Before boarding the limited express, I always buy this onigiri. I chose the tuna wasabi mayo for myself for ¥260, and my husband chose the beef simmered in soy sauce for ¥280 and the flaked salmon for ¥240. They make the onigiri after you order, so it's nice and warm. There's plenty of filling inside. It was delicious again today!

Before going to eat delicious sushi in Ise, I got a little hungry, so I found this shop by chance. They had mentaiko rice balls for 200 yen. It's a bit more expensive than convenience stores, but these were freshly made and hot. They were delicious. The street had many different shops and was enjoyable.

At Nankai Namba Station, there is a delicious onigiri shop where they make each onigiri to order and pack them individually. The seaweed is not too crispy, but slightly moist. The lineup of fillings is so tempting that it's hard to choose. After much deliberation, I chose one with mentaiko and another with salmon mayo. They also have limited-time menu items, so I will definitely be coming back for more.

I found a famous station bento called "Hippari Dako" at the shop in Kintetsu Namba Station before boarding the limited express train. I bought it as I had never tried it before. I also bought some fried chicken and canned beer. The Hippari Dako was okay, nothing special. I generally think that there is nothing particularly delicious about station bentos. Enjoying a train journey with a beer in hand is the best. Thank you for the meal.

On the way back from visiting Koyasan with my husband on November 18, 2021, we transferred from Nankai to the Hanshin Namba Line at Osaka Namba Station. I really like the rice balls here. Whenever I went to Nagoya on the Kintetsu limited express a few times, I always relied on them to eat on the train. When I saw them, I wanted to eat, and I was a little hungry, so I bought them. I ordered the squid salted rice ball for ¥200, and my husband ordered the salmon flaked rice ball for ¥190. They make them after you order. When we received them, they were still warm! There is a rest area a little way from the shop, so we ate there. The squid salted rice ball. I thought the squid salted rice ball was unusual when I first bought it, but it was so delicious. Since then, I have been buying it all the time. I always buy two, and the other one was tuna wasabi mayo. The rice is warm, not tightly packed, and fluffy. It's really delicious.

This is my first time riding the Kintetsu Limited Express "Hinode" so I bought a bento box inside the Kintetsu Namba Station ticket gate. There were a lot of choices, mainly from Awajiya, but it felt different from what I'm used to on JR trains. My destination this time is Matsusaka, so I transferred at Yamato-Yagi. From there, I took the Vista Car. I used to ride the Kintetsu Limited Express almost every year when I was a child, but I'm not familiar with the current train cars. When I used to go to Nagoya, if I had extra time, I would take the Urban Liner instead of the Shinkansen, but that was a long time ago. Hinode Bento on the Nagoya Special Express ==========

When I went on a trip to Ise, I wanted to have a light meal so I bought some food here. I purchased two onigiri, one with shredded shiso leaves and one with pickled ginger. The shredded shiso leaves were slightly sweet and moist. The pickled ginger was not very spicy, with a refreshing ginger flavor. The onigiri had plenty of fillings both on top and inside, and was fluffy and airy. I ate them after riding the Kintetsu limited express for about an hour, and they were still slightly warm and delicious. Maybe if I had eaten them right away, the seaweed would have been crispy, but I also like it soft, so I was happy with it this way. Next time, I would like to try a crispy onigiri. I traveled on the Kintetsu train! Although I wasn't hungry, I bought a bento box. "Hakoyume" in the Namba Kintetsu station is open early in the morning, which is great. They have perfect sets for a light breakfast like onigiri and tea. They have a variety of onigiri flavors and they make them fresh after you order. I couldn't decide on the onigiri, but I wanted a little side dish, so I bought the Awajiya Japanese Onigiri Bento Kobe Edition (360 yen). I checked that no one was nearby in Uehommachi and Tsuruhashi before opening the bento (I was embarrassed). The bento was cold, but the rice was not hard and the onigiri was fluffy and delicious. The sweet and flavorful grilled meat and tamagoyaki were in small portions, but it was just right for breakfast. The hot hojicha tea also went well with the bento.

I stopped by a shop in Namba Station on the Kintetsu Osaka Line to buy lunch before heading to the high school rugby game at Hanazono Rugby Stadium after the New Year. At first, I planned to buy a bento box, but I was tempted by the freshly made onigiri displayed on a sign. I ordered the 3rd most popular onigiri, Chirimen sansho, the 4th most popular, Tori soboro, and my favorite, takana. The onigiri are made to order and served warm in the store, but by the time I ate them at the cold Hanazono Rugby Stadium, they had cooled down completely. However, the rice was delicious and the fillings were well-seasoned, making the onigiri still tasty even when cold. I would love to try all the different types of onigiri they offer here in the future! It seems like buying from this shop will become a must for me when going to watch games at Koshien Stadium or Hanazono Rugby Stadium in the future.

On September 8, 2019 (Sunday), before heading back to Nagoya on the Kintetsu Limited Express, I visited "Hakoyume Namba Store". This bento shop is located inside Nankai Namba Station. They offer a variety of station bento boxes, but the freshly made onigiri that they make right in front of you is the most appealing. With so many different fillings to choose from, it can be difficult to decide, but I personally like the basic ones so I made a quick decision. - Bonito - Flaked salmon Even when opened in the train, the onigiri was still warm! It was softly pressed and had a comforting deliciousness. Thank you for the meal.

At Nankai Namba Station, I had ramen and on my way back to the ticket gate, I noticed some onigiri. Lately, I've been avoiding hot white rice, so I decided to buy a cold one to take home. Now, what kind of onigiri should I get? The salted onigiri range from 120 yen. The top 3 choices were displayed, but I forgot to take a picture. I'm debating whether to get a salted onigiri... Tarako? Salmon? Shredded dried fish with sansho pepper? As someone from a generation that loves chicken soboro donburi, I decided to go with the chicken soboro. The onigiri I received was warm. I took a bite at work and saved the rest for dinner. When eaten warm, the chicken soboro was just the right balance of sweet and savory. Having it later for dinner, it was still delicious. Nowadays, you can even go to Koshien Stadium on the Kintetsu train. Perfect for bringing to Koshien. It would also be great for long-distance trips to Ise or Nagoya.

[I went to the takeout at Hakuyume Namba store. The store is located right inside the Nankai line Osaka Namba station ticket gate. You can also get there from Namba Walk by going down an escalator to the basement floor. Honestly, it's difficult for people who don't use the Nankai line to access the store. I also quickly checked on Tabelog and assumed that it was in Namba Walk on the basement floor of Namba station, so I had a hard time finding the store (laughs). When I looked closely at Tabelog's description, it said "inside the station,"... Even though I had no reason to take the Nankai line, I asked the station staff at the ticket gate how to get in, and they responded rudely, saying, "Buy a 150 yen ticket and come in."... I felt quite upset because of this unfriendly station staff. I bought the 150 yen ticket and once I passed through the ticket gate, the store was right there, so it was very easy to find. The menu is also extensive, and it says they will make the onigiri after you order! I regained my composure, decided on the onigiri flavors, and placed my order. [Salmon flakes] (180 yen), [Beef simmered] (200 yen), [Cod roe] (200 yen) Each one is packed in a plastic container. I thought it was a very good and unusual service. It's also nice to be able to eat freshly made onigiri after ordering, right? Each onigiri was filled with plenty of ingredients and the seasoning was delicious. The prices are not too high either, but the Nankai station staff... (laughs) Thank you for the meal☆彡]

"I didn't know they sold this kind of onigiri here." This time, I visited a shop inside the Namba Station in Osaka. At first, I thought it was just another bento shop, but I noticed they also make onigiri to order. I hadn't had breakfast that morning, so the freshly made warm onigiri looked very appealing to me. I bought the "Shoyu-sautéed Takana," "Finely shredded sesame seaweed," and the limited-time "Farmed Yellowtail and Osaka Negi Miso" onigiri. I decided to eat them while they were still warm, and it reminded me of the charm of freshly made onigiri, as I usually only have convenience store ones. The fillings were simple yet solid, and I especially liked the combination of the sweet miso with the yellowtail and negi. While bentos with various side dishes are nice, these onigiri might be perfect for a breakfast. If you ever visit Namba Station on the Kintetsu line, I recommend stopping by this shop.

When taking Kintetsu for a little outing, you may want to visit this onigiri shop. With a variety of flavors to choose from, it can be hard to decide which one to get. They make the onigiri after you order, so they are always warm and fluffy. Personally, I recommend the pickled mustard greens onigiri! It has a crunchy texture with plenty of pickled mustard greens inside, very satisfying! The whole onigiri is wrapped in seaweed, so you can eat it without getting your hands dirty (you also get a wet towel). The seaweed is delicious too. There is a convenience store next door, but if you want to try something different, definitely give this place a try. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

The hot onigiri is delicious. No matter what you eat, it's never disappointing, and the balance between the filling and rice is good. Personally, I like the limited edition seasoned cod roe flavor.
