It's been a while since I visited this standing bar. It's called "Ikedaya" and it's located in front of Ikeda station. I went to an Italian restaurant called Ikedaya over half a year ago and it was kind of mediocre, and it closed down pretty quickly. Customers are quite honest, so the result is faithful. The original Ikedaya still has cheap food, but they have raised the prices of drinks quite a bit. Even so, the total bill is around 4000 yen for some drinks and food because the food is cheap. In the past, it was rare for it to go over 3000 yen... When considering the taste of the food and cost performance, I think the selection rate of this restaurant will be low. If you're looking for tasty food and drinks, there's Bizenya, and if you prioritize affordability, there's Kaminari Sakaba. Ikedaya is known for its skewers and has a decent variety on the menu, so there must be some demand, but for me, it's just a step away from being a great standing bar. However, it seems to be celebrating its 13th anniversary this year, which is a sign of having many loyal fans. I might drop by occasionally, so I'll probably post an update.

This time, I went to a standing bar in Ikeda. It's been a while since I visited this place, "Ikedaya". It's relatively newer compared to the Bizenya, maybe around 7-8 years old. Prices have gone up quite a bit, even though it used to be really cheap. The menu is still mainly skewers, either yakitori or kushikatsu. I ordered randomly. The hormone here is similar to the tsunagi I had in Kyobashi. Delicious! The other menu items are of decent quality. They have a sake tasting set for 980 yen, and I ended up spending around 4000 yen alone. Huh? Prices have definitely gone up compared to before. It used to be around 3000 yen back then. I drank quite a bit, so it's still cheap compared to regular places, but if you knew the old Ikedaya, it might feel expensive.

※This is a post from a blog♪ Blog URL: http://sibumi.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-5002.html After many years, or perhaps decades, I finally paid a visit to Ikeda again~ Following my visit on the 25th, I returned three days later, for a special reason... which will be explained in the main content below (laughs). Just in time for their 9th anniversary, they were still offering half-priced drinks☆ Jim Beam highball for 380 yen was now 190 yen - what a treat!! Visited on March 28th: I had some business in Umeda, so before that, I took the Hankyu train to Ikeda station and found "Choi Nomizakaba Ikedaya Honten" right near the station. I entered around 5 pm and stood at the counter on the left side towards the back. The gratitude event they had been having since three days ago was still ongoing, so I started with a draft beer - Premium Aroma Ale for 400 yen was now 200 yen. How delightful♪ They had a white and blackboard menu - white for daily specials and black for regular items. I ordered a speedy two-item plate with chikuwa cucumber, Chinese cabbage, and tuna stew for 300 yen. I also had two rounds of Beam Highball for 190 yen each - delicious! I added an appetizer of potato ham cheese spring rolls for 380 yen. It was tasty☆ A satisfying meal in just about 30 minutes!! Totaling 1,260 yen. I had to wrap it up here as I had another mission to accomplish... I finally received the forgotten cup noodles I left behind during my last visit! The cost of this little adventure was almost the same as the round-trip train fare from Umeda to Ikeda. Well, thanks to that, I got to enjoy another round of drinks (laughs). Cheers☆ (Taken with G7X) Choi Nomizakaba Ikedaya Honten Ikeda City, Murocho 1-607 072-751-2188 16:00-23:00 (Last order) No regular holidays http://www.osaka-ikedaya.jp/honten.html Previous record: "Choi Nomizakaba Ikedaya Honten" Ikeda Station nearby - A coincidence! 9th-anniversary event with half-priced drinks♪ 190331 http://sibumi.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-4998.html

From the blog post: http://sibumi.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-4998.html I had some time after visiting the Hankyu Ikeda Cup Noodle Museum, so I decided to stop by a standing bar near the station. Luckily, it was the first day of their 9th-anniversary event, and I got a half-price Premium Malty Ale for only 200 yen! The place was called "Ikedaya Honten," located next to the public Ikeda Chuo Market. The interior had a U-shaped counter with a maximum capacity of 15 people standing. I started with a toast with my companion over a glass of draft beer. The Premium Malty Ale that caught my eye was originally 400 yen, but with the half-price anniversary promotion, it was only 200 yen! The menu included a variety of drinks and speed appetizers like a 2-kind plate for 300 yen, firefly squid with vinegar ponzu, grilled eggplant skewers, an assorted 5-piece charcoal-grilled chicken skewers for 500 yen (oddly, there were 6 pieces!), and discounted drinks like Jim Beam Highball for 190 yen and mackerel simmered in soy sauce with sweet potato shochu on the rocks for 175 yen. Feeling encouraged by the half-price deals, I ended up staying longer than expected, enjoying the authentic drinking atmosphere at the bar. It was a great experience, and I left feeling satisfied. Thank you for the delicious meal! Ikedaya Honten Standing Bar 1-6-72 Murocho, Ikeda City, Osaka Open from 16:00 to 23:00 (Last Order) No regular holidays http://www.osaka-ikedaya.jp/honten.html

Grilled skewers and fried skewers starting from 90 yen each! A delicious and affordable standing bar near the station, "Ikedaya" in Ikeda, Osaka. This was the fourth and final stop on a solo bar-hopping adventure. The first stop was "Roppongi", the second stop was "Green Apron", and the third stop was a secret standing bar. Ikedaya specializes in skewers and grilled chicken. The interior features a U-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen, with a moderate-sized space. I squeezed in at the front counter near the entrance. The menu is displayed on blackboards, pouches, and whiteboards. Skewers and fried skewers are the main items, ranging from 90 yen, with a variety of other dishes, grilled items, and finishing dishes available at reasonable prices! I started with a highball for 380 yen to toast to the last bar of the night. I also ordered a Speed 2 Variety Plate for 300 yen, where you can choose two items from the board. I chose Goya Namul and Ume Kurage. It was a great starter and a nice way to pass the time while waiting for my fried skewers. Quail skewers and back liver were only 90 yen each! The back liver, considered a rare cut, was surprisingly delicious! The quail was cooked just right, with the yolk at the perfect consistency. You have to order at least 2 skewers of either grilled or fried, but you can choose different types, which is really nice! Thank you! Chicken wings were also 90 yen! Can you believe it?! They were easy to eat, with the tips wrapped in aluminum foil, which was convenient. Crispy and juicy. Delicious. I also had a lemon chu-hi for 370 yen. I ordered Negima, Sunazuri, and Shiitake for 90 yen each. Classic Negima, chewy Sunazuri, and juicy Shiitake. All were delicious. The skewers were slightly smaller in size (in my personal opinion), but perfect for those who want to try a variety of items. They may be small, but they don't look skimpy. It was the perfect size for me! Two drinks, one dish, and six skewers cost 1590 yen. I was very satisfied! It was surprisingly empty on a weekend before 10 pm. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy my food and drinks. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. I'll definitely visit earlier next time to try more dishes!

I heard about a good standing bar in Ikeda through an acquaintance, so I visited it right away. When I arrived at the shop after 6 pm, about 80% of the seats were already taken and it was bustling! I ordered a beer right away. The beer was Premium Malt. Premium Malt is widely available now, and many chain stores may not maintain it properly. However, this shop takes good care of it, and I enjoyed drinking it from the first glass. I ordered a set of 5 assorted skewers and 3 sashimi dishes. The sashimi included horse mackerel, mackerel, and sea bream, with the sea bream served with salt. The freshness was good, and the flesh was firm, so it was very delicious! The 5 assorted skewers had a light batter and did not feel heavy. Considering the size of the ingredients, I felt it was very good value for money! The only downside was that the food was a bit slow to be served. Other than that, I was very satisfied with the experience!

This place is really delicious despite being only 90 yen per dish! The chicken liver, in particular, is amazing. The speed menu with two dishes for 300 yen is also a great deal. I think it's a restaurant worth visiting without any regrets.
