Inari Shrine and a bakery for everyday use. The main store is always crowded with its popular all-you-can-eat option, but this place is a hidden gem! They have a wide variety of breads that may leave you indecisive. I visited on a weekday around 1 pm, with no customers before or after me. The narrow aisle might make it difficult for strollers to pass through. [Purchased items] Honey Mustard Chicken ¥360, Mango Danish ¥340. These are deliciously ordinary, everyday breads. Sometimes, simplicity is the best. Thank you for the meal!

This shop, located about a 5-minute walk from Kitano Hakubaicho Station, is known for its delicious bread. I visited after a long time and, although it was a weekday, there were many tourists so I quickly made my purchases. I tried the Shibukawa chestnut croissant for 300 yen and the Petit Wiener for 140 yen. I enjoyed both of them outside. The croissant had chestnut and chestnut cream rolled inside. Both items were delicious and satisfying.

By a little after 4 p.m., most of the bread was sold out. I wanted to buy pudding, but that was also sold out with no restocking. Since I had come all the way to my favorite bakery, I couldn't leave empty-handed. I ended up buying a croissant and a salt bread. The salt bread had a chewy texture.

There was a person who bought a large amount of cream puffs and they were sold out, which was disappointing. The pear Danish with custard cream was delicious. I also bought pain au chocolat, pretzel, plain croissant, and half a loaf of sandwich bread. All the bread had a good texture and tasted delicious.

I received this as a souvenir. When I looked up the shop, it seemed to be a branch of a famous bakery in Kyoto, and it was quite popular! The texture and flavor of the hard bread were irresistible for those who love it. I would like to visit the main store next time!

A bakery located south of Hirano Shrine in Kyoto city. Visited for the first time on a weekend afternoon. The small shop had a variety of delicious breads. It is take-out only, with no seating available. - Pistachio Croissant: 300 yen + tax A large pastry-like dough filled with pistachio cream and almond slices for texture. - Tomato Ruban (1/2 loaf): 300 yen Bought as a gift. The description says it won the grand prize at a French competition. The Ruban dough with the perfect combination of walnuts and dried tomatoes was delicious.

Curry bread 220 yen, mentaiko salt bread 160 yen, fresh chocolate danish 280 yen, roasted green tea red bean butter bread 240 yen. Bought 4 as souvenirs for my wife and it was still under 1,000 yen! After enjoying delicious Kyoto-style ramen at Shizou, I searched for a bakery nearby and found one just a 2-minute walk away. Later found out it was one of the top 100 bakeries in Japan! They had around 20-30 types of bread, all looking delicious, but I chose the ones listed above. Lately, I've been buying the red bean butter bread every time... The curry bread, as many reviews say, is highly praised! It's filled with plenty of ingredients and has a strong curry flavor. The mentaiko salt bread was new to me, but it was delicious! The roasted green tea red bean butter bread needs no explanation, it's delicious! Kyoto's bread is consistently delicious no matter which store you go to, the quality is high! I'll definitely buy some more when I go back to Shizou! Thank you for the meal.

I visited Brian's Hirano store, which is one of the top 100 bread shops in Kyoto. Unlike the main store, there is no seating area, but they have a wide variety of bread to choose from. I couldn't decide what to buy because there were so many options. They even have several types of plain bread! I decided to buy the Excel, a buttery and flavorful bread that is soft and delicious. I want to try their baguette next time.

I heard that the salted butter anpan was delicious and decided to visit. Although the item I was looking for was sold out, everything I tried was delicious! I want to come back again. The roasted green tea anpan had a guilty feeling because it had butter in it, but it was really delicious. The Kyoto yuba bread was unexpectedly chewy and addictive, not just fluffy. Thank you for the meal.

- Lemon Bread A bread shaped and colored like a lemon. Inside, there is lemon jam that gives a delicious sweet and sour taste. A bread that seems common but is not often encountered. - Cream Bread This is a popular item that I purchased. I put it in my bag and ate it when I got home, but it had become flat. However, the taste was delicious. It had a fluffy dough and a soft, smooth cream. I happened to pass by the shop, but the delicious bread made me happy. Thank you for the meal.

Around 11 o'clock on Sunday, the bakery was not too crowded but there was a steady flow of customers. I bought 2 baguettes and 5 other bread items for 1800 yen. The displayed bread was individually packed in bags, giving a sense of cleanliness. All the bread was delicious, but I particularly liked the salt bread. It had no filling, but the dough was incredibly chewy and I felt disappointed when it was gone. I also enjoyed the nut croissant, which had a fragrant nutty flavor. I preferred the salt bread and nut croissant over the popular cream bread.

The salmon Danish sandwich comes in three varieties: cutlet, potato salad, and boiled egg. The potato salad sandwich seems to be made with whole grain bread, as the color is different. It's nice to have a variety of options and most importantly, they are delicious. The salmon Danish includes broccoli and béchamel sauce in addition to salmon. Unfortunately, the Danish was a bit soggy, possibly due to being packed right after baking with water droplets on the bag. The fillings are tasty, so it was a shame. I'll be more careful when choosing next time.

I was hungry and looking for lunch when I happened to pass by a restaurant that looked delicious, I couldn't resist and went in. I ended up getting takeout before lunch! They had a variety of side dishes, Danish pastries, and hard bread, so I bought a lot despite it being before lunch. I enjoyed them while walking to Ryoanji Temple after lunch... It was delicious and well-made, and I understand why it's a popular restaurant. I will definitely come back again.

This is the Hirano store of "Boulangerie Brian," which is a popular bakery. I visited during the cherry blossom season near Hirano Shrine. Unlike the main store in Kitayama, this store does not have a restaurant, so there is no parking available. According to a reviewer, they transport products from the main store to this location twice a day. The store itself is small but offers a wide variety of bread. When I visited in the morning, the shelves were full of bread. I purchased the Yomogi (Japanese mugwort) red bean butter bun for 160 yen, the chestnut croissant for 280 yen, and the Brian baguette for 350 yen. Unfortunately, they did not slice the baguette. The Yomogi red bean butter bun was incredibly delicious. The person who came up with this is a genius! I will definitely be a repeat customer. The chestnut croissant had a nice texture with the sliced almonds on top, and the baguette was also very tasty. I think the baguette would go well with a meal. In addition to the Kitayama main store, there is also a store in Kyoto Daimaru, which may be more convenient to visit. I heard that the curry bread at the main store's restaurant is delicious and they offer all-you-can-eat bread. I would love to try that someday! The bread was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

This time, I visited "Boulangerie Hirano" in Kita-ku, Kyoto City. It is located next to Hirano Shrine along Nishioji Street. I ordered 1) Salted Butter (120 yen) and 2) Trois Fromages (240 yen) -> The cheese on the Fromage is so delicious!! The elegant taste of cheese fills your mouth. There are many other delicious looking breads, so I would like to visit again. It was also good that they accept PayPay. Thank you for the meal.

Next to Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, across the Kamigawa River, is an area known as Hiranosan in old stories. It's a place that travels back and forth through Kyoto's 1200 years of history! There are 600 cherry blossom trees here. It is said that during the Heian period, they deliberately cut down autumn leaves to create a cherry blossom garden. Quietly tucked away on the first floor of an apartment building on the west side, you'll find a bakery. They receive daily deliveries from the main store in Kitayama using a dedicated truck, coming twice a day. When you visit Hiranosan, you'll definitely want to buy bread here. A little secret: their pudding is delicious!

Mixed sandwich S: A sandwich with ham, cucumber, mayo, spicy margarine, tomato, egg, lettuce, chicken, and edamame tartar on a focaccia-like bread with mayo-based sauce, topped with chicken and edamame. Grilled vegetable fettuccine: Fettuccine with tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini, potatoes, bacon, and a creamy bechamel sauce, sprinkled with pepper for a satisfying texture. Bacon epi: A fluffy bread with a slightly sweet wheat aroma, reminiscent of a cinnamon roll, with nuts and cinnamon swirled in. Croissant with nuts: A soft pastry with diced chocolate mixed in, resembling a Danish pastry, topped with macadamia nuts and almonds. Chestnut croissant: A soft pastry with candied chestnuts and citrus jelly, topped with matcha cream. Delicious, but it seems like high-priced products are being made due to the use of ingredients.

Located on the west side of Imadegawa Street, just north of Hirano Shrine, this bakery opened its first store in 2005. With its beige walls and navy accents, the bakery is known for its popular shokupan (Japanese-style bread loaf), as well as a variety of other breads. The "Wiener Croissant" features a flaky croissant with a savory wiener filling, while the "Edamame and Bacon Epi" offers a chewy crust with plenty of filling in a convenient small size. This stylish and delicious bakery is a must-visit in the area.

Today, I visited a branch of Briant near Hiranoshrine in Kyoto's Kita-ku. Briant is a popular bakery with its main store in Kyoto Kitayama. Unlike the main store, this branch only sells bread without a cafe. The variety of bread displayed in the store was overwhelming, with Hokkaido-produced "Yumechikara" wheat bread ranking from No. 1 to No. 3 in popularity. There were also sandwich options available. After some deliberation, I purchased three items and headed home. - Honey Mustard Chicken and Avocado: Two pieces of chicken sandwiched between avocado paste and honey mustard spread. The mustard aroma was the first thing I noticed, followed by the crunch of sesame seeds spreading throughout my mouth. The taste of chicken, avocado, and honey was subtle yet delicious, complemented by the chewy texture of the bread. - Lemon Bread: The lemon-colored cookie dough on the surface was impactful with its lemon flavor. The rich lemon paste inside contained lemon peel, adding a crunchy texture to the bread. - Kitayama Madam 1/4 (Matcha): A pastry bread made with natural yeast and harmonized with Uji matcha, popular among the affluent residents of Kyoto's Kitayama area. This 1/4 cut version had a fluffy and moist texture with a hint of natural sweetness. The elegant flavor of matcha added depth to the overall taste. Briant's bread is truly delicious, and I enjoyed trying these three different varieties this time.
