Today, I visited a ramen shop in Tenroku. This shop has its main store in Shinsaibashi, but I wanted to visit this branch first because of the "bowls". I was intrigued by the innovative and advanced ramen bowls served here. As humans, we are cultured individuals, so just eating delicious food and being satisfied is too lonely. Sometimes, enjoying the process with our eyes and senses, especially the bowls, is where the real pleasure lies. I am very particular about time, like a precise machine, so I can't forgive myself for arriving 3 minutes after opening. By the way, I arrived on time. The staff welcomed me with a big smile. Today, I ordered the Mugi X Miso ramen for 1,200 yen. While buying the food ticket, a female staff member explained the daily rice special, which caught my interest for a moment. However, I had already eaten a huge onigiri I bought while drunk last night, so I had to resist. By the way, I left the ice I bought in a drunken stupor on the table and it turned into water by morning. (^◇^;) It's a mess. (laughs) Sitting at the counter, I could see the chefs cooking right in front of me. Maybe it's a special seat for Paul's entrance? The owner or manager seemed to be instructing, while the chef was making the ramen. They reported "finished" after each step, which I love. It's nice to watch. As the process progressed, the soup was stirred with the latest agitator. It felt like ramen had evolved this far. Finally, the bowl appeared in front of me. Huge!!! (laughs) I've seen it in pictures before, but it's even bigger in person! (laughs) It's quite impressive. I feel like a king. (laughs) It's made of handmade "Imajo-yaki" pottery. It's more like a piece of art than a ramen bowl. The bowl has "Mugi x Tori" engraved on it. By the way, when I saw this in the photo, I thought it was smeared with mayonnaise or something. (laughs) The ramen fits neatly in the space in the middle of the ashtray-like hole. The toppings include shredded chili pepper, early red, white negi, bamboo shoots, trefoil, and surprisingly, offal. It was delicious with the fusion of chicken white broth and miso flavors. The chicken white broth had a unique thickness but was refreshing and very easy to drink. The noodles were straight and flat, allowing the soup to penetrate well. They are homemade noodles blended with several selected wheat flours. The texture of the offal matched perfectly with the soup. You might not expect offal in chicken white broth, but it's a great combination. I enjoyed it until the last bite. When I lifted the huge bowl and drank up the soup at the end, it was truly impressive. (laughs) Thank you for the meal.
